Cosy getaway

  • 5 of 5

A really lovely cottage in a quiet location. Spotlessly clean and very cosy, we felt right at home as soon as we arrived. Everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible has been thought of - from an abundance of wood for the woodburner to towels to dry off your boots after a muddy stomp across fields and along the coast. Thank you, we had a wonderful, long weekend.

Owner's Response: Thank you Ruth for your lovely comments. So pleased that you enjoyed your stay at The Cottage. Logs for the woodburner are always provided to ensure that all guests are able to return to a warm and cosy cottage after a day out exploring the coast path and the surrounding areas. Thank you and hope to see you again soon.

Delightful cottage, and well equipped

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed here twice now, and the cottage is perfect for two people. It has been thoughtfully modernized and is very comfortable. From a walkers point of view it is perfect - as you can walk from the door in any direction, along quiet country lanes or onto the magnificent coast path. And the village now has an excellent pub again in 'The Hart', where the food is fantastic.

The most fabulous cottage EVER

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was absolutely gorgeous and the attention to detail is second to none. We were met by lovely Sue and Jeff who gave us tips on places to visit and a lovely bottle of Prosecco, they were so welcoming and we felt like it was a home from home.

There was nothing that you could possibly want for in the cottage and it was spotlessly clean. The area has the most spectacular costal walks and we spent everday exploring and walking then back to the village for a mice pint in one of the 3 pubs. We could not recommend this cottage highly enough. Sue and Jeff a massive thank you for our stay on your beautiful cottage and we will definately be back :)

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. The Cottage is certainly a great base for anyone wanting to explore the area and being close enough to the pubs without having to drive is an added bonus. Look forward to seeing you again soon Sue

Charming Cottage

  • 5 of 5

I was greeted by the owners and made to feel very welcome. I was delighted when I entered the cottage. Everything is of a high standard and immaculate. Instructions for everything had been left and were clear to understand. Looking through the scrap book of the renovation that Sue and Jeff have left, you can see all the hard work that had been done. The little courtyard is a sun trap and I enjoyed breakfast outside during my short stay.

I would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage, is such a lovely cosy place to relax and unwind. Early morning walks down the vale are a must.

I have family in Hartland and have booked to go back for Christmas and can not wait.

Owner's Response: Great to know that you enjoyed your stay. With the Vale being only yards from the front door for an early morning walk followed by breakfast in the courtyard it certainly makes a lovely way to start the day. Look forward to seeing you at The Cottage later this year.

The Perfect Cottage

  • 5 of 5

This property is what we all need for a perfect break. Returning from stunning coastal walks that only our North Devon/Cornwall coast can offer to this much loved and superbly appointed cottage is a joy. A charming ,yet totally updated cottage with a sun spot for an evening drink or the wood burner for days when the Atlantic winds are at their peak. We have visited 5 times and will return !
