Great base for a short break walking in North Devon

  • 5 of 5

A lovely little gem of a cottage which has been restored and refurbished with TLC by the owners. Located in a pleasant village with three pubs and shops within walking distance and an excellent restaurant (Pattard Kitchen) within a few minutes drive. The cottage is cosy and very well equipped with everything you could ask for. Great walks along the North Devon coastal path within a few minutes drive. Definitely somewhere we will return to soon.

A perfect cottage in great location

  • 5 of 5

We had beautiful weather - but it might not have mattered given that this pretty cottage was so cosy and possessed of all comforts. It was equipped with everything you might need, beginning with the personalised written welcome by the owner (who, unfortunately, we didn't get to meet) that explained things about the home and wished us well for our stay. Thank you, Sue! We had a great few days: it must have been good as the first words when we arrived were "Can we stay here again?" I'd like to return in winter as the wood burner was lovely. The surroundings were good to explore on foot and we loved the Lundy day trip on the ferry from Ilfracombe, as well as day trips to other local towns and villages. Heartily recommended.

Impressive cosy cottage

  • 5 of 5

Another lovely stay at the cottage. Everything you need is there and as always the cottage is immaculate. Log burner made the cottage warm and very cosy especially as the weather was not too good. Would recommend a stay at the cottage as located in beautiful countryside, close to coast with lovely walks. Can't wait to return for another stay..

My husband and I had a wonderful time in this beautiful cottage. We walked the coastal path on both sides of the pretty village. We visited Clovelly which was amazing and Appledore. Other fab villages, cracking haven. ,boscastle, port issac, towns of Bideford and bude. Wish we could've stayed longer than the 4 nights.
