My husband and I had a wonderful time in this beautiful cottage. We walked the coastal path on both sides of the pretty village. We visited Clovelly which was amazing and Appledore. Other fab villages, cracking haven. ,boscastle, port issac, towns of Bideford and bude. Wish we could've stayed longer than the 4 nights.

Just what the Doctor ordered!

  • 5 of 5

From the warm welcome we received to the sky-high standard of the beautiful cottage, our stay here was faultless!

Sue and Jeff really have thought about every detail here to ensure that guests have a stress free stay, all you need to bring is your clothes!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here with our 6 month old daughter recently and it really was just what we all needed; quality family time, no phone signal for distraction, just a cosy fire, DVDs, scrabble and a kitchen so well equipt to cook meals easily. The area was lovely for an explore, but to be honest, the cottage itself was so nice that we spent most of the time inside relaxing!

We did have a day in lovely Clovelley and visited the little farmers market in Hartland, followed by delicious coffee and cake in the cafe - we were warmly welcomed here too :-)

Overall I would have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful cottage to anyone and everyone!

Well done and thank you Sue and Jeff - a definite 5* from us! x

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your review of your stay. Really pleased that you managed to have a "get away from it all" break and enjoyed the games and DVDs in front of a nice log fire. ( I do get a good mobile signal) The Cottage is certainly a great base for exploring Devon and Cornwall or equally good for staying in to just chill out and relax. Many thanks again Sue

A beautiful & cosy cottage.

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is very cosy and beautifully decorated. We had some fantastic coastal walks in the area and was great to settle down early evening in front of a nice warm log fire. And in the morning it was lovely to sit outside in the Mediterranean-style courtyard having our coffee.

The cottage if fully equipped and there was nothing extra that we needed.

Sue & Jeff made us feel very welcome when we arrived and even left a nice bottle of sparkling wine for us.

We definitely would like to go back to the cottage again!

Owner's Response: Thank you Charles The area is particularly well known for the fabulous coastal walks. I always ensure that there are plenty of maps for visitors to use to plan their route and a good supply of logs for the woodburner ready for their return. Look forward to seeing you again Sue

Cosy getaway

  • 5 of 5

A really lovely cottage in a quiet location. Spotlessly clean and very cosy, we felt right at home as soon as we arrived. Everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible has been thought of - from an abundance of wood for the woodburner to towels to dry off your boots after a muddy stomp across fields and along the coast. Thank you, we had a wonderful, long weekend.

Logs for the woodburner are always provided to ensure that all guests are able to return to a warm and cosy cottage after a day out exploring the coast path and the surrounding areas. Thank you and hope to see you again soon.

Delightful cottage, and well equipped

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed here twice now, and the cottage is perfect for two people. It has been thoughtfully modernized and is very comfortable. From a walkers point of view it is perfect - as you can walk from the door in any direction, along quiet country lanes or onto the magnificent coast path. And the village now has an excellent pub again in 'The Hart', where the food is fantastic.
