The property is in an ideal location to explore the South Hams region; Plymouth to the west, Dartmoor to the north, and the Kingsbridge & Salcombe estuary to the east. The apartment has a communal paddock area, and reserved parking for 2 cars, plus visitor parking and space for a small boat and trailer. The apartment sleeps 4 comfortably, with a further truckle bed available for 1 extra guest. No. 7 provides a great base for walkers, with country, moorland, river estuary and coastline walking all within easy reach. Bigbury, Thurlstone and Dartmouth Golf courses all welcome visitors. Great 4 days in good apartment in bigbury

We had a good stay at the apartment- nice and spacious for 4 people - sat outside on grass in the sun so although no garden as such we had a place in the sun. Ideal location with good Choice of eateries - we had a couple of good pub meals in the Pickwick which was an easy walk. Less impressed by oyster shack - not only very expensive but also pretty average meal and a longer walk. Ate in one night and impressed by having all the right equipment in kitchen. Beds comfy and a good shower. But the biggest bonus was having so many wonderful places to visit including thurlestone, Bantham, bolberry - really fantastic walks with great places to rest as well as sandy beaches. Great value for money

Lovely little apartment

We arrived after driving down narrow country roads, but the view to the sea made up for it.

It had everything that we needed - a home from home really. It also had games if the weather was not good and you didn't want to go out - catered for most eventualities ! A selection of DVD's were provided too and there was also a CD/radio player .

Really enjoyed the stay and will keep in mind for the future should we ever be down that way again.

The only problem was which we did know about is travelling.

You have to travel everywhere by car as this is a remote spot.

All very quiet and rustic.

So overall we enjoyed the holiday and the weather was ok as well.

Not wall to wall sunshine but was dry most of the time.

Accommodation was 5*. Perfect location for my needs. Easy to locate. Private and secure. Beautifully maintained outside areas.

Would liked to have stayed longer. Would certainly revisit and recommend to others.

Coast/Beach:

The sandy beaches of Bigbury-on-Sea are within 1.5 miles of the property. It is possible to walk across to Burgh Island at low tide; the sea tractor provides access at high tide. Bantham Beach and numerous coves and beaches are within a short drive of the property. Footpaths to the local beach and the Avon river estuary are accessible from the property.
