A spacious barn conversion sleeping 12 in 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, with large living room with wood burner and a games room with pool table. Ideal for large extended families or groups of friends. A well equipped family kitchen It has a sunny private south facing patio with gas barbecue and a sunken lawn garden with swing and slide. The heated indoor swimming pool is in the next door building. The property is located near the south west coast path and near Stoke Beach. The pretty estuary of Mothecombe is just 4 miles away and has a lovely sandy beach and glorious walks at low tide. The villages of Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers are close by with shops and pubs. Noss Mayo has 2 waterside pubs, The Ship and The Swan, a park and 2 tennis courts. Newton Ferrers has a yacht club with nearby pub The Dolphin and horse riding stables. Plymouth is approx. 15 miles and has an airport and railway station. The pretty seaside towns of Salcombe, Kingsbridge, and Dartmouth are all within easy driving distance. The picturesque Bigbury Bay and Burgh Island are approx. 15 miles away with large expanses of sandy beaches and restaurant. Fantastic!

Overall the property was spacious and yet cosy, comfortably housing 12 adults for a long weekend. It was well maintained and very clean and tidy. The kitchen was well equipped, and the gas BBQ outside made for a wonderful meal out on the large patio. The pool being just across from the property was warm and inviting, a real asset to the house.

Overall West Park was absolutely wonderful, we all had a lovely stay, and would highly recommend it.

Fantastic Holiday

Very impressed with this property - it had everything we needed. Cosy yet spacious, comfortable large lounge, well equipped kitchen, wifi, pool table, tv and piano!! everything 4 families could need was there. It was clean and well looked after, the garden was brilliant, ideal for 4 little children and a dog! The pool was brilliant and lovely and warm and although shared with other properties we didn't find it a problem at all. The beautiful countryside was stunning and the local town with pubs and river was delightful. I cannot recommend this property highly enough - you will not be disappointed :-) Can definitely recommend it.

Good House. The Indoor Pool Is Not Well Heated

Great location, wonderful part of the country. The house itself is well equipped with a great garden. However, the pool is obviously a key reason to book this property. It is heated by solar panels and a heat pump. The visitors book has complaints / comments dating back over three years on temperature. These comments were made at all times of the year. Our party of young children refused to go in. The staff on site were sympathetic, but unable to help. They were aware of the problem. A great shame, as this was a key reason for us booking. Overall, a good house, great location, but don't book it for the pool if you have young kids.

Beautiful house!

We spent New Year at the house, 8 adults and 3 children. It's an ideal property for a large group with plenty of room for eating and relaxing. I would definitely go again. Amazing place!

Brilliant house.

Best holiday home we have ever stayed in, faultless. Extremely well equipped kitchen, wants for nothing, even has broadband! House is deceptively large yet homely; catered for eight adults, four kids and a dog with ease. Ideal for kids, swimming pool is a godsend in bad weather as is the games/ play room. Garden and barbecue were brilliant. Ideally situated; two pubs within a 20 minute walk and the coastal path ten minutes walk away.

Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Activity and Interests

Special interest holidays:

Ideal for walkers along coastal paths or inland on Dartmoor. Horse riding - there are stables just on the edge of Newton Ferrers.

Visiting National Trust properties - Saltram House is a 20 minute drive. There are others within easy driving distance such as Coleton Fishacre and Cothele.

Coast/Beach:

Stoke Beach - approx. 3/4 mile - 20 minute walk along coast path.

Mothecombe Estuary with vast expanse of sands at low tide is a 4 mile drive by car. The beaches at Bigbury Bay are approx. half hour drive - at high tide a passenger tractor links the mainland with Burgh Island.

Wembury Beach - take the small passenger ferry from Newton Ferrers marina across the estuary and there is a lovely coastal walk approx. one mile

Travel:

Exeter Airport - approx. 30 miles

Plymouth is approx. 12 miles and Brittany Ferries operate crossings across to France.

Distances:

Noss Mayo - 3/4 mile

Newton Ferrers - 2 miles

Plymouth - 12 miles.

Salcombe, Kingsbridge and Dartmouth are all within easy driving distance

Further Details:

There are a selection of small shops in Newton Ferrers - post office with general store, butcher, chemist, small supermarket and tea room. Across the road from the chemist is The Dolphin Pub. There are 2 pubs in Noss Mayo - The Ship and The Swan. All 3 pubs serve good food. At low tide the two villages are connected by a walkway.
