New apartment with all the facilities in the very popular Albur Village, just two minutes to a supermarket and Alvor centre, quiet safe location. Balcony with nice views.This is our second home and as such we have tried to think of most things that will make your stay more enjoyable like-Hairdryers, welcome pack of water, wine and milk, tea,coffee,sugar & most condiments. Dish washers and washing machine tablets. Top quality Egyptian cotton white hotel bed linen. There will be beach towels in the apartment so no need to have weight problems with your case.

Sharon my wife and myself have managed our own family travel company for over 35 years. Over the last 35 years we have holidayed all around the Algarve region. With Sharons love of shopping, my love of golf, and our combined interest in nice food/restaurants, we find this to be a perfect destination.

Why Peter Maxfield chose Portimao region

As you can imagine over the last 35 years we have stayed in various styles of accommodation from hotels to villas. On our last visit we stayed in an apartment at Albur village condominium in Alvor. After many years of discussing a second home in this part of the world, we suddenly felt that we had found it!!! The apartment is situated minutes from Alvor town centre, with a traditional local restaurant/bar and convenience store only metres away.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is new. Sharon has taken personal care along with an interior designer to furnish it to a high standard which we hope all our guests will appreciate as much as we do. It houses all the facilities you would expect of a modern high end apartment with the finishing touches of a homely feel. For those who do not want to venture too far, the pool and comfortable sun lounge area is the perfect place to relax. The apartment is very close to a number of great golf courses, all of which I have played a round or two on, and I am happy to give any advice you may need. We are quite sure you will enjoy our apartment as much as we do thanks for looking.

brilliant apartment

This apartment is modern and very tastefully decorated.

When you walk in you find beer and wine in the fridge, and tea, coffee and biscuits.

The tv is a smart tv and gave us access to netflix and youtube as well as the internet tv channels via the wifi. So we could always find something to watch or music to listen to, At least when we were in.

We ate out most nights but if you want to cook there is everything you need in the kitchen.

The beds are comfortable and there is plenty of wardrobe space and clothes hangers.

Can someone tell me what to do with all the cushions on the bed, looks very nice but!!

This is our third time in this apartment and it is just as good as the first time we went.

Apart from a lovely holiday home with everything you could need, the information and service provided by the owners was fantastic. The restaurant recommendations were great too! We also loved Alvor, scenic and very friendly place.

The most perfect apartment

Everything about this apartment is just perfect. We love the fact that Peter and Sharon had though about everything to make it felt like a home from home.

The apartment is beautifully decorated and is a great location right at the pool. It allowed my little girl to run about freely while we could watch her from the comfort of the out door seats.

The dressing gowns to the tea bags, the tin foil to the washing powered. The sardine and jams to the beautiful welcome pack. We loved every minute of our stay. This apartment is only 5 min walk to the restaurant and pubs and very handy for the local supermarket.

This is a perfectly located 5 star accommodation. We sure hope to be back next year.

Beautiful appartment close to town and beach

The appartment is beautifully furnished and decorated, with great facilities in the kitchen should you wish to eat in or prepare a picnic for the beach. Providing pool towels, hairdryer's and cool bags is an added bonus and one less thing to pack. There are even candles for the patio if you are feeling a little romantic.

The supermarket underneath is great so not far to go for fresh bread, water or replenish the beer/wine fridge.

The complex is well maintained and feels secure, there is a nice pool area which was fairly busy the week we were there however this didn't matter to us as we love the vast beaches in Alvor which is only a 15-20 min walk away.

The bars and restaurants of Alvor are within an easy

5-10 min walk away, Pete and Sharon kindly provide a few of their favourites to try, but there is something for everyone in Alvor, although the fresh fish has to be a must for us.

We really enjoyed our stay, thank you for sharing for others to enjoy x

Excellent holiday apartment

I read all the reviews before arrival and we were not disappointed at all! The apartment was spotless and had a welcome pack second to none, everything you could need was there. Furnished to a very high standard, with all the mod cons, we didn't want for anything. Pingo Doce supermarket is directly underneath but you would not know this by the noise (apart from frustrated Portuguese trying to park, which was funny to watch). It was so handy it being there, fresh rolls everyday and other bakery treats! The pool area was cleaned regularly and there are plenty of sun loungers, the pool rarely got that busy to be honest, which was good, very chilled atmosphere and right outside the front door too!

This is our fourth time in Alvor but the first in this apartment, so glad I found this place to rent. The location is excellent, ten minute walk into the heart of Alvor and a further ten minutes to the beach, although we walked the full length of the new boardwalk to the caves at the far end of the beach. That was definitely worth the forty minute walk, the waves were great, a must for beach and sea lovers! There are so many lovely restaurants to chose from in town it would be hard to pick a favourite, but you must visit Churrasqueira Mercado (chicken shack) for the best piri piri and Piccolo Mondo for fab pizzas and great, friendly service. For cocktails, a visit to the Sunset bar is also a must, Kate will even let you make your own!

Peter was very helpful right from the off and was always quick to reply to any questions/queries I had. A big thank you to Peter and Sharon for making our holiday very enjoyable and comfortable, a real home from home. We even booked for next year whilst we were still there! Counting down already!!

Alvor excellence

An absolutely superb apartment which wants for nothing, from location / cleanliness and space to ultra modern technology. Super fast wifi was godsend for 2 social media hungry teenagers, as well as 2 iPad lugging parents 👍. Owners are a delight to deal with and reply via email and text are second to none. 5-10 minute dander from delightful restaurants of Alvor brilliantly complement this gorgeous apartment. Do not be deceived by pictures as they TOTALLY UNDERESTIMATE the apartment.

Every whim is catered for in the kitchen and piece of equipment supplied from glasses to plastic tumblers to cling film to dishwasher tabs to the super welcome pack.

The Pingo Doce Supermarket is under your balcony - a 2 minute walk catering for everything you need but hardly noticeable in terms of noise and closes 10pm latest.

Superlatives only scratch the surface for this property.
