Guestbook comments from the manager

Quarry cottage was in a beautiful location for our annual family weekend ( 4 adults, 2 children and a dog )

It was spacious, warm accommodation with four en suite bedrooms with ample hot water and a comfy chair in each bedroom enabling a quiet time for ourselves.

The kitchen is well stocked with a variety of utensils.

The open plan dinning area which leads from the kitchen meant we could easily enjoy meals around the large table.

The lounge area has comfortable sofas we could all sit on while enjoying the views of the pond and trees. Dane, thoughtfully tied some bird feed to the patio rails so we watched a variety of birds feeding.

The children were thrilled to be able to feed apples given to us by Hannah, to the Shetland Ponies.

We enjoyed quiet walks from the cottage. It was nice that the children could play in the fenced patio area.

We travelled to Llanfair and had a super ride to Welshpool and back on the steam railway. Newtown swimming pool was another good outing.

Thank-you for a wonderful weekend.

Excellent barn conversions with character

  • 5 of 5

We loved these cottages, espacially the beautiful exposed beams, there is a lovely sense of history here. I rented the large wheelchair accesible cottage and had no problems moving around the ground floor or using the wetroom, i was able to park right by the front door too, there was also a door leading directly into the groundfloor bedroom. The cottage was exceptinally clean and had all the mod cons you would expect. the views are spectacular. highly recomended.

Perfect setting for a family holiday

  • 5 of 5

Great location and setting, lovely to sit beside the large pond and enjoy a glass of wine. Booked for a family get together and everyone enjoyed themselves, our 7 month old loved to see all the animals (alpacas, goats, ponies & pigs). Granddad enjoy a bit of fishing and great biking countryside (although we didn't bring our bikes). House well set up and lots to see & do nearby.

Fantastic for family get together

  • 5 of 5

We rented both cottages meaning 19 of us could get together for my mother's 60th birthday. was perfect for her as she has mobility problems so we gave her the downstairs bedroom so she didn't have to use the stairs, plus she could bring her dog. It was open plan so we could all get together. Very clean. plenty of crockery etc. and I cooked for 19 people. Pygmy goats were a nice surprise, my little boy hand fed them. planning a return as sadly the weather wasn't on our side to take advantage of the lovely garden.

Fantastic cottage, location and stay!

  • 5 of 5

Overall absolutely loved the stay. Cottage was better than described or the photos. The adults loved the peace and quite, the views and the high standard of the cottage. The kids loved the Alpacas Minimus and Robby, the Shetland Ponys and Bessie the dog! Thank you for the great welcome, taking the time to introduce the kids to the animals, had a really great stay and see you soon!
