We had 3 weeks in August, the kids loved the swimming pool, they spent hours in it! Very clean house, lots of equipment, large washing machine and facility which was great. The Village is lovely, plenty of shops, internet cafe was nice, and the Lake had free kayaking all day at the man made beach five minutes down the road from the house. We will go again to this house.

Paradise in Serendipity

  • 5 of 5

On arrival late in the evening the first impressions were fabulous with a welcoming food pack, the next morning after a very comfortable sleep the house was more impressive and roomy plenty of room for eight adults. The property was very clean and very well equipped. It is situated in a small village 5 mins walk away with restaurant and a pub, the lake nearby is well worth the visit. The pool is fantastic and clean we had some great fun in it. The house is full of games for the family to play and the games room kept all the men happy. I would highly recommend the property and will hopefully return in a couple of years. good value for money. 2 weeks is just not enough.

What a fabulous holiday we had x

  • 5 of 5

Our holiday house was beautiful. The owners had thought of absolutely thought of everything. We needed nothing as the house was so well equipped from plenty of inflatables for the lovely pool to a sewing kit. Every pot, pan or kitchen utensil ever invented were in this house. All I can say is as soon as we got home we booked again for next year x

We had grandparents, children and grandchildren who really enjoyed our stay in Serendipity. The house is well equipped with great views from the large, safe pool.

The village is a short walk and has a boulangerie and a few small shops .Large supermarkets are a 15/20 minute drive. The local hotel has a superb restaurant and booking is recommended.

The owners were very helpful from initial booking with advise on our queries and requests.

We highly recommend this property.

Lovely property in fantastic area

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at this property in the Dordogne. The house itself was perfectly equipped for all our needs and we were able to properly relax which was key for us. The swimming pool is large and, as it is set above the property in its own area, the views were spectacular.

The local village (about 5 minutes steady walk away) has a lovely boulangerie and a couple of small shops to keep you going. Large, decent supermarkets are within a short drive. The village also has a restaurant that we would highly recommend and the Night Market on Fridays during the summer is a must.

The property is also very close to a lake which is great for swimming and has two cafes. The lake also has lifeguards so is very safe for young ones.

From our initial enquiry, the owners were more than helpful which made our preparations much smoother.

All in all, highly recommended. We will be back!

Fabulous stay at Serendipite!

  • 5 of 5

This was the first time we had hired a private property in France (we usually favour the all inclusive resorts) but we wanted somewhere to get together as a family. I wasn't sure what to expect, as from past experience properties rarely live up to expectations from the photographs, but this was the exception - in this case the photographs actually don't do it justice! This was literally home from home. The property was so well equipped we didn't want for anything, and it was very clean and spacious. There were 9 in our party and the property was plenty big enough that we didn't get under each other's feet.

The biggest plus point is that its a fantastic accommodation for anybody with children. We unfortunately didn't get great weather during our stay, but the children were happy with the games room, and together with the PlayStation and games, WiFi access, plus all of the other toys and games provided, there wasn't an 'I'm bored' to be heard! The swimming pool alarm and cover are also a superb touch for total peace of mind, and again there were inflatables and pool toys provided.

We were also impressed with the local area which was so pretty and idyllic, but I would stress that car hire is a must out there. The village is quiet but the restaurant (very helpful with our limited French), and bar (English run) are both well worth a visit. This wasn't an action packed holiday, but there is certainly enough to keep you entertained for a week, and it's a fabulous location in which to relax and recharge the batteries! The local lake was lovely and picturesque, and the local vineyards are also a must with prices extremely reasonable.

Overall a fantastic holiday, and I can't recommend the property enough. The owners really have thought of everything, and went above and beyond to assist with a few queries we had beforehand too. Also one of the best 'welcome packs' we have ever received! Book this place now!!

Wow! What a fantastic Villa

  • 5 of 5

It truly is a home from home, the owners have thought of everything and having stayed in Spain and Portugal for the past 5 years none of them compare to this. Some lovely days out at the Lac, lovely meals in the village's around and plenty of wine from the local vineyards! The Village square was fantastic, with great food at the pub run by the English lad Dave who makes you most welcome. We will be looking to come again. The Scott Family, Midlands
