Casa Anna is a well equipped villa of both modern and older character rooms with outstanding views of Subeticas mountains, and never-ending olive groves in the beautiful region of Cordoba Province in Southern Spain. Near enough to but far enough away from the lively Costa del Sol - Torremolinos is an easy drive. Hillside location on edge of the village of Fuerto del Conde with a bar/restaurant and a small supermarket for everyday necessities. Larger supermarkets can be found within 20 minutes of the property. Casa Anna is 10 minutes from the picturesque town of Iznajar overlooking the stunning Iznajar Lake. Here you will find a choice of restaurants, bars, Bank, pharmacy and other local amenities. As well as a beach with water sports and two bars. The property is within easy access of the motorway network. The property provides the ideal location to explore this region of Spain, being in the centre of the triangle of Malaga, Granada and Seville - not to leave out the wonderful Cordoba. Access to Malaga Airport is in 50 minutes and the fascinating cities of Granada in 50 minutes, Cordoba in 1 hour 15 minutes and Seville in 1 hour 30 minutes.

About Malcolm Gee

I am Malcolm and I live in the beautiful Fuente Del Conde. Originally from Durham, I spent most of my working life in London then left for SW France about five years ago to set up a holiday cottage for walking groups and using Airbnb.

At the beginning of 2014 I decided to start a second venture here in Andalusia. The main holiday house renting season is from June through September when it is really too hot to walk so those groups are now booking for March to May and September to the end of December.

I looked at around forty houses for sale but as soon as I walked through the gates of Casa Ana I knew the search was over. The views are magnificent and the layout of the house is exceptionally suited for holiday accommodation.

Notes on accommodation: Casa Anna is set on a small hill at the entrance to the village road giving delightful views from several aspects. Outside: The house is accessed from the rear with car parking for up to 3 cars. A gate leads to the swimming pool area and from there into a private, walled courtyard with dining table and shaded reading area. A barbecue and lots of outside seating are provided. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels, bed linen and pool towels are provided and will be changed weekly. The property is cleaned before each occupation and after two weeks for stays of longer than that period Other: An entrance hall leading to the kitchen and to the lounges is also large enough for inside dining.

Spacious rural house with amazing views

We found this house ideal for our extended family. Our teenagers especially loved the pool. There are plenty of seating areas outside so that you can gather together to eat and socialize but also quiet areas if anyone just wants to escape for a while.

We normally holiday in remote areas and although this is rural, being on the outskirts of the village so that you could walk to the bar/restaurant and small shop was ideal. You do need a car, preferably with a confident driver - the roads are narrow and wind around the hills.

We loved the nearby lake and went the beach numerous times and hired loungers/pedalos.

Our biggest problem was the heat. This house really needs air conditioning in August!

We found on the whole the house was reasonably equipped but for a big family such as our a few larger cooking pans/dishes would have been useful, but that's a minor point.

Malcolm was very helpful as was the lady that looked after the property and the pool man.

(When travelling to/from Malaga we found using the toll road well worth the 4.95)

Owner's Response: Thank you Mark. The point you make about AC is a good one - the last two summers have seen very high temperatures and while full AC in the house would not work there may be opportunties to install it in bedrooms during this coming Autumn.

Lovely part of Andalucia.

We had a nice holiday in this beautiful and quiet part of Adalucia. We visited Malaga, Ronda, Cordoba and Sevilla. The (very near!) Antequera is a must see as well. We also enjoyed a few days on the beach and around the pool of Casa Ana.

Casa Ana is located in a quiet village. Sometimes the only thing you can hear is the wind. The outside areas of the house are really nice to enjoy appetisers, meals and drinks.

The booking of the house went smoothly and what you see on the pictures is what you get.


We did not like the fact that there were 'things' (we guess they belong to the owner) all over the place. In every room there was a drawer/closet filled with clutter (tape, screwers, ballpoints, out of date chocolate, out of date tomato-juice, out of date nuts,...) and the utility room was more of a dumping site than a utility room (empty washing luiquid boxes, unused fans, an unused computer screen, shoes, shoes, shoes, even glasses,...). Under the beds of the twin room was (mostly) dust, an unused printer and moroccon slippers. I only cooked once as there was only one large pot (the rest were pans and a wok) and the oven was still filled with (sticky) baking trays.

We can understand you want to leave personal things in your holiday home, but maybe it is a good idea to store them out of sight or in a locked closet?

We did receive towels (only 1 large towel per person, so no pool towels) but these were not changed weekly (as was stated in the listing), nor was the linnen. We did not have the impression that the house was properly cleaned before our arrival. There were stains of red wine on the kitchen cabinet doors (I cleaned them).

There are no ceiling fans in every room. There is only 1 in 1 of the double rooms. There are small fans in the rest of the bedrooms. And in summer you really need these.

We also would have liked some written explanation on where to find the nearest larger supermarket, what to do with rubbish, addresses of good restaurants, closest beaches,...

Overall we enjoyed the rest of our holiday. The surroundings and cities we visited are lovely! So is the local bar 'El Pajaritos' (very nice mixed paella!). We did like the beaches of Torremolinos east. Do not park your car at the first parking lots close to the golf course (EXIT 1) (you will need to pay there). But drive further on to 'El Retiro'' : free parking and not too crowded beach. AND a very good fish restaurant : José Cerdàn!

Owner's Response: Kathleen - thank you for your review and I appreciate your comments on an overall good holiday. With regard to the criticisms, laundry is renewed after two weeks therefore you should have had new laundry for your last two days as you stayed for sixteen days. My apologies for this oversight. The house was inspected on the day of your arrival and the standard of cleanliness was judged to be good. I appreciate we all have different standards but yours is the first negative comment I have ever received in this regard. The guests following you have commented on the high standards. There are two towels for each guest in the bedrooms and extra towels in each of the shower rooms. Malcolm

Beautiful villa with amazing views

Malcolm was the perfect host, providing everything we needed on arrival. It's a home from home, so the cupboards are stocked with little bits like salt, pepper, sauce, cooking ingredients etc. Such a lovely touch. The villa itself was gorgeous and so much nicer in the flesh. The villa is completely secure so if you have small children there is no worry of them escaping! All in all, a really relaxing holiday in a place we felt really at home. Highly recommended.
