Recently renovated old farm-house in Samoens. Beautiful location in historic village. We offer self-catered holidays winter skiing and summer activities. This is an owner run highly unique chalet in the French Alps. This chalet has a great homely feel and has all comforts that you need when you come back from a long day in the mountains. All of the five double bedrooms have high spec en suite bathrooms with power shower and heated floors. Towels and bed linen provided.

About Krysia Piotrowska

I live in Gascony, France with my partner and our two dogs. We have four adult children. We have been living in the mountains for several years but have now moved south west and as a result we have decided to share our mountain retreat.

Why Krysia Piotrowska chose Flaine - Grand Massif

I had spent many happy holidays in the area and then went to ski in Samoens and fell in love with it. It is easily accessible from Geneva which is an hour away - so just a short trip from the UK. It is perfect for long and short trips. It is located in a most beautiful valley and on the edge of a National Park and has activities for all ages and all interests. The main ski lift is very close by, providing accessing to the Grand Massif area.

What makes this chalet unique

The house is an old farm house on the south side of a sunny valley. It is close to Samoens but not in it and therefore has seclusion with village activities nearby. There are restaurants, shops and lots of lovely bakeries! In the summer thrill seekers can try white water rafting, canyoning and the via Ferrata. Hire a mountain bike and race the trails. The hiking is fantastic. There is an open air swimming pool and lots of music events in July and August. In winter you can ski locally or go over to Flaine. In total there are 265 kms of skiing terrain to suit all abilities whether you are a skier or snowboarder. As the valley is so wide there are plenty of opportunities for snow-shoeing, and cross country skiing as well.There is also a new Olympic size ice-rink.
