Villa Tranquilla consists of Master bedroom which looks out to the garden, 2nd double bedroom with French windows to the patio, 3rd bedroom with twin beds looking out to the garden. A bathroom equipped with shower unit and bidet, this year we have revamped the bathroom, with new bidet, taps and a great new shower. There is a breakfast room, with table and chairs, a separate kitchen fully equipped for cooking, with a hob, microwave oven and fridge freezer (again, new hob and sink unit) and French windows opening to a shaded patio, with a great new large wooden table and chairs for eating ‘Al Fresco’. Outside there is a garden, where children can safely play, whilst one can overlook from the Villa. There is of course the obligatory Barbecue for outside cooking.

Wow we have travelled all over, including the Caribbean, but we have to say that Sardinia is as good as anywhere we have been. We stayed in Villa Rosetta during July 2015 and the local beach was fantastic, just a stone’s throw from the Villa, and one can walk for miles, but it was virtually empty! This place was great, there is a huge pool and Recreation Centre, again uncrowded. We found the Villa comfortable and Vittoria and David were very helpful, the facilities in the village are very handy, a restaurant, good food and not expensive, also a pizzeria, which the kids loved, ‘Italian pizzas are the best’, almost forgot to mention the wonderful local wines. We hired a car, which allowed us to explore the coast and the mountains, there is a huge number of coves and bays all along the coast, all different and all beautiful, wonderful colours. The mountains were a surprise, we travelled for miles and hardly saw anyone, but managed to find a wonderful restaurant in the middle of nowhere. Fond memories we will return.
Off season travel meant may of facilities unavailable to us but the benefits were huge in terms of quietness and the beach was beautiful and almost empty. A perfect place to bring a young family and the complex was felt friendly and safe. We would love to return to Villa Tranquilla and thanks to Vittoria and David.
Great holiday! Apart from the natural beauty of Sardinia and the wonderful walks on the Nature Trail, we found the Villa in it’s surroundings and closeness to the beach, swimming pool, restaurants and everything else, so convenient and relaxing, it seemed no effort at all. On occasion we even forgot that we had our 3 children with us, there was so much for them to do, they just got on with it, reporting on what they had done on their return. The boys had great fun with the archery range, and Juliet enjoyed the swimming pool, where she made friends with a couple of German girls. We where quite happy relaxing with our books on the patio, the beach, by the pool, or at the bar with a cappuccino and croissant.
The evenings were just as easy, stroll to the restaurant, everyone of course happy to eat ‘al Italiano’ great Pizzas as well as the usual pastas and some interesting Sardinian dishes, and of course the excellent Italian wine, good local wines, Badesi is famous for it’s Vermentino and Cannonau. After dinner the teenagers disappeared to watch the entertainment or hang out with their new friends and we would go for a nightcap or to the ‘piano bar’ as the Italians call it, or just relax on the patio and watch the sun set, with a glass of wine.
I was very apprehensive of a holiday without a car, but consoled myself with the fact that if we changed our minds, a car could be arranged at reception. I drive a lot with my work so a rest was the idea, glad to say it worked out very well, we even took the bus into the village one day, strange sensation, but quite enjoyable.
All in all we were comfortable at the villa, comfortable at the resort, and thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing holiday in beautiful Sardinia.
Great place to relax with the family, we stayed in August 2012, my wife and I and our 3 children, Rosemary, just into her teens, Tom and James the twins and we even managed to take my wife’s parents. With the different ‘zones’ around the Villa, everyone seemed to find their favourite spot, with areas to sunbathe and shady nooks. Everything in terms of shops, restaurants, pizzerias, beach café’s, are close at hand, although we made several trips up the coast, to some great beaches and bays, a trip to the local thermal river, very beautiful and even a trip to the old town of Tempio Pausania in the mountains, through winding Holm Oak forested roads. In all an excellent family holiday, Sardinia is beautiful in all it’s aspects, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, highly recommended. I should add, that Vittoria and David, were very helpful and gave us lots of good advise, with their comprehensive knowledge of Sardinia, we discovered things that without them, we would not have known about.
Our 2 week stay in Sardinia's Badesi region made us all smile, the local wine cantinas .....a bit off the beaten track by the way ! were welcoming and had some excellent wines, its about 6 minutes walk to the sea where there are long stretches of white sandy beaches, the local restaurant also walking distance unusually named "K18" was good on the 2 occasions that we went.
From the house the coastal road winds in and out of the mountains giving you snapshots of the sea as you make your way further down the beautiful coastline,we managed to visit 6 different beaches and coves all lovely.
Village is 8 mins away and has an excellent "gelateria" with some very interesting flavors', including local fig and cream cheese.
The house was comfortable clean and an ideal place to chill out in the evenings. Recommend for a group of friends, there was enough space so that we didn't feel like we were in each others pockets, parking for 2-3 cars
all in all a wonderful stay.
Super-relax Villa, by the sea, good BBQ set-up, and well organised for eating outdoors, which we love. Easy walk to the beach for morning coffee, great to have a good restaurant, again walking distance, so we could all enjoy the local wine without risk. Vittoria and David were very helpful and came up with some good ideas for evenings out for the whole family, and some interesting beaches further up the coast. We all enjoyed ourselves without any stress, Sardinia is a really beautiful island, friendly people, great food and wine, wonderful clear seas, and some great fiestas in the local villages. Best of all, watching the sunset over the sea with a glass of the local wine on the terrazzo. Highly recommended, thanks guys.
