Fabulous

  • 5 of 5

Lovely welcome by Lynn and Sweep. Superb views excellent gite. 5 minute walk to the beautiful, ancient village of Castelneau with its shops and restaurants. Lynn is an excellent ambassador for the area. Do go to Cordes and the Millau Bridge spectacular. Well worth a visit just to meet Sweep. Thank you Lynn for a great holiday.

Owner's Response: Thanks a million for your review, it was a great pleasure to have you both stay here - Sweep is missing his summer friends as autumn & winter are quieter.

Fabulous!

  • 5 of 5

An absolutely fabulous gite in a beautiful part of south-west France. Lynn is a very friendly and welcoming owner with a wealth of local knowledge of places to visit. The gite itself is well-equipped and very comfortable, with stunning views/sunsets from the terrace. Well worth a visit! Carolyn and Ian Anderson

Just perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Lynn’s gite is clean, comfortable and extremely well-equipped. It has breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside, a lovely secluded pool and garden, is situated in an ideal location for walking and cycling, and there are numerous tourist destinations within easy reach by car. It is only a five minute walk to the picturesque centre of Castlenau du Montmiral where there are two first class restaurants each offering a different dining experience. Lynn is a perfect hostess and always keen to offer advice and share her extensive knowledge of the area. I would not hesitate to recommend Lynn’s gite and I will certainly be returning again next year.

EXCELLENT

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from holiday at this lovely gite which is a couple of minutes walk from the hilltop village of Castelnau -de-Montmiral in the Midi Pyrenees. With restaurants, bars, evening concerts and a weekly market. The gite is spacious ,spotlessly clean , very well equipped, and extremely comfortable with everything you need for your holiday. The views from inside and outside the Gite are fabulous,we sat out most evening having dinner watching the marvelous sunsets.

Lynn, the owner of the property is a lovely lady, nothing to much trouble and very helpful She doesn't bother you at all and you have use of the swimming pool whenever you want to use

it. What more can I say , We loved it ,!!! didn't want to come home and will certainly be going back next year. Thank you Lynn, Val and Lou.

Owner's Response: It will be my pleasure to welcome you both back to No 1 anytime, and as promised I will let you know the dates for the next "Musicales de Montmiral" which is always great fun. We had another spectacle here yesterday when the village "hosted" around 5,000 cyclists - it was quite a thing! Tonight its an open air classical concert in the village square which I am so looking forward to (not catering this time!). Stay in touch and thank for the review Lynn

Views to die for and just the place for a perfect

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful little gite, perfect for a couple wanting to have a quiet and relaxed stay in this beautiful region of France. We were the first people to use it and were, in fact a party of three. One adult used the bed settee in the lounge and this presented no difficulties at all. The gite is perfectly located on the outskirts of Castelnau de Montmirral which is an unspoilt bastide village. The gite has panoramic views from its lounge and patio, a more than adequate sitting area and shared use of the owners new pool. The owner is warm and welcoming and helpful in suggesting things to do.

The gite is comfortable, clean and attractively decorated without being palatial.

I cannot recommend Number One too highly. We shall certainly be going back.

Location

From the Owner

I bought the property two years ago, and undertook a sympathetic renovation of this historic village house (originally two houses built circa 1630). The small garden features the oldest well in the village which has now been incorporated beautifully into the swimming pool and terrace. The property is just steps from the medieval village and its facilities - bar, restaurant, boulangerie, hairdresser, pharmacy, doctor, general store, petrol station.
