About Nicholas Langham

Hi. My name is Nick, and my wife and I own 18 Kelwyn Court. We are currently enjoying retirement and live in Winchester. We have had a long relationship with Cornwall and the South West (my wife is Cornish) and we have made many visits over the years. We regard it as a second home.

Nicholas Langham purchased this apartment in 2005

Why Nicholas Langham chose St Ives area

We purchased this apartment some 10 years ago and use it as a holiday home. It has been a useful base to allow us to visit the whole County at different times, as well as meeting with relations. We love our occasional trips to this area. Its famous scenery is superb and we enjoy seeing the sea in all its moods. The history of the County adds a further layer of interest to investigate. Footpaths can take us to remote areas and there's nothing like a good dose of invigorating fresh air. Our sons and families take full advantage of sun, surf and beach activities.

What makes this apartment unique

* Well equipped home-from-home * Closeness to A30 * Parking space * Good access to local amenities * Walking distance to the Beach and Coast Path * Bus routes which facilitate walking expeditions * Many walking routes to take * Hidden gems to discover and explore

Ideal holiday property

  • 4 of 5

The property was extremely suitable for our stay as it is well situated within the Carbis Bay area. The apartment was very clean and had all we needed to make a relaxing time. We were very fortunate with the weather as we had sunshine the whole week of our stay and were able to enjoy the local beaches, swim in the sea and long walks to St Ives, Lelant and the Knill monument. on the evening of the Summer Solstice. Would certainly stay again.

Fabulous Appartment for our New Years stay

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a reasonably priced property for a long weekend covering the New Year period. I couldn't believe it when I found this little gem. The photo's certainly don't do it justice. The property was spacious (there were four of us), clean and had all the equipment needed for a self catering holiday. My son WAS a little cramped in the bunk bed (we separated them as we were told we could do) as he is 6 foot 4 but it didn't spoil our enjoyment! The property is based in Carbis Bay but it was still easy enough to get into St. Ives either by train, walking (gorgeous views along the coastal path) or a reasonably priced taxi. We did have a bit of an adventure on the first night trying to find the station in the pitch black using the route recommended in the useful info folder! We thoroughly enjoyed the New Year celebrations and I will look forward to visiting this property again.

Great location and everything you need!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed over the Christmas week and were blessed with superb weather. Did loads of walking and enjoyed, the different routes into st Ives.

Our only problem was that we found the bed really uncomfortable but that is just personal.

Would recommend to anyone thinking of visiting. Carbis bay is a great area. Just that bit out of st Ives but near enough to enjoy.

Lovely, well positioned holiday home

  • 5 of 5

Booked for 3 night stay to attend a local wedding. Appartment was just as decribed, lovely and clean. As it was late when we arrived the key safe was a great idea, as friends had to travel to St Ives to collect their keys! The local information which was available was very helpful. The owner was very helpful when booking the apartment - would highly recommend this property.
