A spacious, unique and quirky house with off road parking

Cambrian House is a fabulous detached Victorian house situated within the southern coastal town of Gosport, Hampshire. This 4 bedroom house has been restored, refurbished and furnished to a good 4* star standard and is situated within a 5 minute drive of the beach and town centre where the ferry can take you for a short 4 minute ride to Portsmouth and the wonderful Gunwharf Quays, a superb waterfront complex with over 90 designer retail outlets, 30 odd cafés, restaurants, bistros and bars, Cinema, Bowling Alley, Casino, Jongleurs Comedy and Tiger Tiger nightclub plus the iconic Spinnaker Tower all set around the harbour quayside.

Each of the 4 lovely bedrooms have superior quality kingsize double beds which can separate to create 2 singles and are made up with crisp white cotton linen and fresh white towels for all guests. 2 of the bedrooms are 'family' rooms being able to sleep 3, 4 or 5 guests sleeping up to 12 in the bedrooms if required, plus some of the bedrooms can also accommodate children's cots on request.

The 2 high spec bathrooms both have quality fitted showers and the main bathroom is also fitted with a large roll top bath with all towelling provided.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering with a large vintage style Smeg fridge freezer and an original centre isle butchers block chopping table and is situated adjacent to the dining room which is home to a large 12 seater dining table. The lounge also seats up to 12 with a large flat screen TV, DVD and Nintendo Wii.

Off the kitchen is a comfortable sized breakfast room leading out into an impressive large conservatory with another table and 6 chairs, 2 x 2 seater leather sofas plus a 5ft pool/snooker/table tennis table to keep young and old alike amused, away from the separate front lounge.

Finally there are the gardens, the front laid with pea shingle and border shrubs and the rear being accessed from gated driveways either side and the French doors from the conservatory with tables, chairs, a lawned area, the facility to hire in a hot tub, (please contact us for availability and costings), trampoline etc.

Our prices are for up to 10 people but we can accommodate a 2 more people within the bedrooms on John Lewis bed chairs plus the lounge also has a John Lewis corner sofa bed with the additional guests over 10 being charged at a rate of £25 per week/part week per head or £25 for each extra set provided.

Cambrian House only accepts 'family groups' consisting of both adults and children during the school Summer Holidays and over New Year Period. However if you are an all adult group during the school Summer Holidays we can recommend one of our other properties - Peel House, which does not have the same restriction, (ID: 8132591).

If you would like to bring along a pet for your stay we do not charge an extra rental fee subject to an additional £250 pets deposit.

Adult only groups where 75% or more are under the age of 30 years of age are liable for an additional deposit equal to the rental deposit which is payable 6 weeks prior to arrival.

“Apart from being self service Cambrian House was as good as The Ritz" The house is a lovely property with unusual and interesting design points, very clean with beautifully comfortable beds and it was great our little dog was welcome too. Notes on accommodation: The house is self catering but catered options are available on request. If dining out is your choice we also have a number of fine local restaurants, some with great coastal views and Gunwharf Quays has over 30 waterfront cafes/bars/bistros and restaurants where you can sit and watch the comings and goings in the harbour. If you wish to stay on the bars at Gunwharf continue late into the night and Tiger Tiger nightclub is open until the early hours with a late night ferry to safely bring you home to Gosport. Outside: The large mature garden is situated to the rear of the property with BBQ and trampoline plus it is also possible to hire the hot tub on request providing we have a minimum of 24 hours prior knowledge to make sure it is suitably up to the correct temperature for your arrival. There is plenty of off road parking plus the house is pet friendly and warmly welcomes well behaved four legged guests. To either side of the house are gated driveways allowing plenty of off road parking. Utility Room: The utility area is within the ground floor shower room and houses the dishwasher and washing machine enclosed behind shaker style units with worktop over. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen and towels are provided and are changed weekly with a mid week maid service available on request. Child's cots and high chairs are also available at no extra cost but we ask if guests can please bring their own child's bedding. Other: Also off the kitchen to the rear is the breakfast room leading into a large conservatory with children's games plus a fun sized pool and table tennis table, another table and chairs and more soft seating to enjoy during the better weather.
