Notes on accommodation: All the double bedrooms are decorated simply but tastefully with bedside tables and lamps, dressing table and chairs and wardrobes. The children's bedroom has a small chest of drawers and lamp. All bedrooms have fans. Outside: Over an acre of garden, barbecue, dining table and chairs for 8. Sun loungers. There is a large trampoline and outdoor table tennis table. The swimming pool is alarmed (there is no longer a fence around the pool). Utility Room: Washing machine, microwave and fridge/freezer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are provided (swimming towels are not provided). Mid stay cleaning and linen change can be arranged by separate negotiation. No bedding is provided for the cot. Other: There is a further sitting room with a small sofa and chest of drawers which holds children's toys, games, books and DVDs.

We have had some wonderful holidays in this charming house. It is spacious, clean and very well equipped.

With 3 children ranging in age from 14 to 3 years old, we found that there was something to keep everyone entertained. The pool is a good size and the decking area is perfect for big family meals and a spot of sunbathing! There are also some great activities nearby such as tree climbing and the lake.

The owners are lovely and we look forward to returning to this property in the near future.

a real gem

We've stayed a number of times (family of 6) and love the place and the area.

The property is surprisingly spacious and is great for that relaxed, informal , kick-about type holiday.

It really is a beautiful place to stay and together with the house that is always clean, it works well, we would not hesitate to recommend it.

Beautiful house in a lovely location

We had a fantastic week staying in this beautiful farmhouse. The kids loved the pool & I enjoyed the peaceful location. The surrounding area was stunning with lots of activities for the kids. We enjoyed some lovely meals at local restaurants.

Wonderful Family holiday

My family of 4 (2 young sons) had a fabulous time here with friends. The house is fantastic - clean, spacious with excellent facilities.

The pool is great - perfect for the kids to splash about in - while my husband, friends and I could keep an eye on them on the wide patio enjoying the sunshine a comfortable chair and a glass of Rose.

the outside area is ideal for BBQs and has a large table - perfect for big groups.

the views are lovely and there is plenty to do in the surrounding areas for families. we had a wonderful day at the nearby lake and the children loved the tree climbing which is also nearby. The village has plenty to offer - including delicious bakery and other shops.

I look forward to having more holidays here - the owners are delightful and very helpful. We genuinely cannot wait to return,

Ideal family holiday

For a completely chilled family holiday, this is the ideal spot. The huge garden, pool and trampoline kept the children amply entertained while we relaxed on the spacious decking in the sunshine - perfect!

We've been lucky enough to stay here several times and can highly recommend it. A beautiful setting, loads of space, ideal either for those who want to relax by the pool or those who want to be more active. There's good cycling, watersports available at a nearby lake, picturesque local villages with restaurants, shops and markets. And of course lots of delicious wine!

The coast is about 1 1/2 - 2 hour drive away.


Bergerac and Angouleme airports are 1 hour drive from the house.

Bordeaux is just over an hours drive.

All airports have car hire.


Aubeterre - 15 min drive (canoes, river/beach, restaurants, cafés, Sunday market)

St Privat des Pres - 5 min drive (local shop/bakery, butcher, museum, tennis court)

Riberac - 15 min drive (shops, restaurants, bars, large Friday market)

St Aulaye - 5 min drive (river/beach, cafés/bars, tree climbing, water slides)

Further Details:

Nearby: canoeing, tree climbing, water slides, tennis, horse riding.

Aubeterre has a sandy river beach with cafe, playground and diving board. In the main town there are fantastic restaurants and cafés and a lovely bustling market on a Sunday.

St Aulaye is about 5 mins drive and also has a river beach and cafe, water slides and tree climbing suitable from 4 years of age. It also has a supermarket.

Riberac is about 15 mins drive and is a large town with shops, restaurants, supermarkets and a large Friday market.

Other places of interest close enough for day trips are St Emillion and Brantome.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days is on a Sunday (there is a degree of flexibility on this depending on whether the house is fully booked). Check in no earlier than 4pm and check out 10am to allow for a thorough clean and linen change.
