2 bed cottage, pets accepted, close to the beach and within pretty village of Gurnard, off street parking, private garden, perfect getaway.

Situated in the pretty village of Gurnard, close to the sailing village of Cowes, Wolfreton is the ideal place from which to explore the island and to enjoy the many activities the Isle of Wight has to offer. The cottage which sleeps 4, has a modern open plan kitchen looking out over the pretty garden and a dining area. There is a comfortable living room and a downstairs cloak room with shower. Upstairs, Wolfreton has one double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a luxurious bathroom. The cottage is a well equipped holiday home. All linen and towels are included and your beds will be made up for your arrival.

To book we require a 30% non refundable deposit with £25 admin fee to secure your holiday, the balance + £200 refundable breakages deposit is then due 8 weeks prior to your arrival. If booking withing 8 weeks we require the full balance.

Week commencing 26.7.13. We had a fantastic 2 weeks at Wolfreton, made even better by unwittingly booking during Cowes week! The house is fabulous and brilliantly located. Thanks for kitting it out so thoughtfully. Hope to come back!

1.8.14. Lovely stay, so lovely we do not want to go home! Fantastic days out with two energetic boys and the most dog friendly place I think I have ever visited. We are already planning our next visit.

19.9.14. We've had a lovely week and celebrated our daughters first birthday here at Wolfreton even managing to bake a birthday cake in the very well equipped kitchen! The house has been a lovely place to come back to, really comfortable and in a good location.

Excellent Property in a Quiet but Exclusive Area

This property had everything you could possibly want and more for a very comfortable Holiday

Clean comfortable homely and well provisioned

Beautiful sea walks and an excellent pub at the top of the road which welcomed dogs and served excellent food

All this literally on your doorstep

I would certainly recommend this property to anybody wanting a tranquil and fulfilling base for their stay

However It should be noted that the staIrs in this property are steep and narrow but otherwise everything is perfect

Wolfreton is certainly worth a visit

Summer in Gurnard

What a lovely property. Only just over a mile walk into Cowes but nice and quiet. Views of the Solent from the front bedroom window. Excellent facilities like a home from home. Very clean and plenty of storage. BBQ was a welcome addition. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the Isle of Wight

Pleasantly surprised.

Wolfreton is a home from home property, everything you need is supplied. A lovely dog friendly back garden that our little Yorkie enjoyed. Off road parking, which is a godsend in this day and age. A pub up the road that does food in the evenings, a grocers and newsagents around the corner. Gurnard is a quiet area with a lovely coastline. The whole of the property is very tastefully decorated, especially the bedrooms and bathroom, light and airy. You wouldn't be disappointed if you choose to stay at Wolfreton.

Well-equipped, peaceful cottage

Wolfreton is a lovely cottage in a quiet street within easy walking distance of the beach and local shops. The cottage is presented beautifully and furniture, fittings, equipment are all provided to a very high standard - a real 'home from home'! We loved it and highly recommend it to others.

Nearest Airport : Bembridge and sandown Private airfields at 14 Miles Nearest Ferry : East cowes/Fishbourne at 9.1 Miles Nearest Golf : Ryde at 11 Miles Nearest Train : Ryde Pier at 11 Miles Nearest Beach : Gurnard at 400 Metres Car: recommended

Coast/Beach:

The beach is a short walk away, just down the hill, you can see the sea from the street and from the window upstairs.

Travel:

To get to the Isle of Wight you need to take a ferry from the South of England, only 67 miles from London! Car ferries: Wightlink (Portsmouth to Fishbourne or Lymington to Yarmouth); Red Funnel (Southampton to East Cowes). Other forms of transport include Hovertravel, foot passengers only (Southsea to Ryde), Wightlink catarman, foot passengers only (Portsmouth to Ryde) and Red Jet (Southampton to Cowes). There is a small private airport at Bembridge and Sandown.

Distances:

You are in the pretty village of Gurnard, Cowes, famous for regattas and good shopping is a 5 min drive away where you can get most things. Good restaurants, pubs, beach eateries in both Gurnard and Cowes. Nearby is Osbourne House where Queen Victoria lived on the Island, great for a visit.

Further Details:

There is lots to do on the Island, as mentioned above, Osbourne House is one of the attractions, but also theme parks, Robin Hill and Blackgang Chine, Carisbroke Castle is a great day out and many fabulous walks and beaches which are free! Also, supermarkets deliver : Waitrose in East Cowes, Tesco in Ryde and Sainsburys in Newport.
