Casa del Sol sits nestled in its large flat plot with beautiful gardens to the front, private pool (8 x 4 mtrs) to the side and orchard to the rear. The villa is accessed off the Torrox/Frigiliana road and is located 5 mins from the village of Torrox and 10 mins from the coast. The villa consists of 2 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom living room, sun room/dining room and kitchen. The annexe has an air conditioned bedroom and ensuite bathroom which adjoins a laundry room. There is a large terraced area for alfresco dining and sunbathing and a second terrace surrounded by oleander shrubs. The access to the villa is directly off the road and provides parking for several vehicles.

A very spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean Villa.

We have enjoyed Villa holidays in Europe for a number of years but found this particular property to be very special. We have never stayed anywhere so well equipped, we wanted for nothing. We particularly enjoyed the beach equipment and pool toys, and appreciated the store cupboard essentials plus a few treats left by previous guests. Pete was welcoming and accommodating, Bev made the whole booking process pain free. We have stayed in the area previously, but our highlights for this year included a tapas lunch in the beautiful square in Torrox Pueblo; a spectacular drive through the mountains to Granada and the Alhambra (book in advance for tickets); Paella and Flamenco at Ayo's on Burriana Beach; pizza and drinks for four adults for around 20 Euros at La Dama on a bustling side street in Nerja; a stunning walk up the Rio Chillar from Nerja; and watersports on La Herradura beach (an inflatable assault course worthy of Total Wipeout). The Villa location is quiet and peaceful with beautiful views all round, looking down to the coast and back to the mountains, but only a short drive to the coast, and a very straightforward drive from Malaga airport. An ideal location if you just want to chill by the pool or read on the veranda, or like us to explore more of the Andalusia region. We were a party of two early 20 year olds, and two definitely not early 20 year olds, but this Villa and location would be ideal for young families too. The Annex is an added bonus, providing separate accommodation whilst still very much part of the main Villa. Highly recommended.

Couldn't have asked for anything better.

Our first Villa holiday so we didn't really know what to expect . From the minute we booked every question we had was answered. Bev was so helpful. The instructions to get to the Villa were excellent, we didn't arrive until after midnight but found the villa very easily.

The villa was spotless and every whim plus more was catered for. Set in a peaceful location with beautiful views. A private pool and a built in barbecue led to late lazy evenings . Friends joined us on week 2 and stayed in the annex and loved it.

Places to go if you wanted but also an invitation to do nothing .

Beautiful villa, great hosts .

Beautiful villa in a beautiful location.

What a fantastic holiday we shared with great friends at this superbly equipped villa. Everything you could want is there in the villa including a mid stay clean with fresh linen and towels. Air conditioning in the lounge was a real bonus with temperatures in the high twenties. The only thing we would change would be to install it in the bedrooms too.

Spacious and immaculately clean, although we spent most of our time outside in the lovely shaded area of the garden and in the pool. Needless to say the weather was superb and the cool down in the pool ( lit at night) was most welcome. Cooked some great food on the brick built barbecue, eating it on the terrace whilst taking in the stunning views.

Real bonus was the beer fridge in the utility area and picking lemons and limes for our drinks from the garden was delightful. Ate in some lovely sea front restaurants where the fish was delicious and the service second to none.

We loved it so much we have already secured this villa for two weeks next year and booked our flights.

The owners can be very proud of the seamless service provided and we would highly recommend a stay in this gorgeous villa in such a beautiful area.

They are placed to the rear and stay cooler in the summer and we have provided fans, however, I wish to assure future guests that we are installing aircon in these bedrooms during the winter months ready for next season. New units are already in the main living area and the annex. Really happy to accept you return booking for next year.

Second visit.

Absolutely fabulous..........again.

The villa has been decorated throughout, was super last visit but even better this time.

Subtle changes make the villa an easy place to relax.

The new barbecue makes evening dining great fun and the addition of a safe makes it super convenient for your valuables.

The weather was good despite being earlier in the year. Wall to wall sunshine every day. 25 to 30 degrees.

Torrox is a little quieter, but everywhere is open and there's no problem going out for drinks or a meal.

We travelled a little further this time to explore and the villa is well placed for Frigliana, Compete, Nerja and Torre del Mar to name but a few.

The pool was crystal clear, the grounds kept well and the villa everything you could wish for.

Well done again Bev.

What a fabulous experience from start to finish.

We've always done the package thing, but never again.

Dealing with Bev was an absolute pleasure and made communications open and easy. Thanks Bev.

The accommodation is clean, safe, and modern, but retains that Spanish feel.

The main section is beautifully decorated and air conditioned, with an extra fan in each bedroom. The bathroom is spotless and extremely modern, with shower and bath at your disposal.

The annexe is tasteful, with a comfortable bed and its' own bathroom.

Attached to the annexe is a small utility room housing an extra (beer) fridge, a washing machine and all the bits you need for around the pool (cushions for sunbeds etc).

The swimming pool is absolutely fantastic and really necessary as the sun hits the property all day. Phew!!!

The covered canopy allows you some shade to relax, and the outdoor furniture is super comfortable.

We were an adult party of four and two young children.

This place is definitely family friendly.

Pete and Erika are on hand should you need assistance and they are doing a great job of looking after the property and visitors needs.

Bev and Gez clearly want all their visitors to enjoy the villa and its' facilities and are definitely getting it right.

The villa lies 4km into the mountains so peaceful relaxation is a given, however, should you wish to explore, there are several quaint towns and villages within easy reach.

Aldi and Lidl are 10 minutes away, so no worries about keeping that (beer) fridge full, oh... and food's quite cheap too.

A car is essential to reach the property, but that gives you total flexibility.

Torrox costa comes alive at night with bars, restaurants and street stalls open well into the early hours. The good news is that unlike other places, there's no pressure or heavy sell. Wonderful.

The whole party felt safe and secure no matter where we visited in the area and specifically at the villa, security is great.

Overall, wonderful villa, fantastic location, great facilities.

What more can I say............................we are already in negotiation for a return in 2016.

And we've never been anywhere twice in a row.

Sublime setting for Spanish Gettaway

We've used Owners Direct for an English holiday and decided to do the same for our family holiday to Spain. Chose the lovely Casa Del Sol which is a fabulous Villa set high above Torrox Costa and Torrox Pueblo on the way to Frigilana. Dealing with the owner Bev has been a pleasure and we received excellent instructions on how to get to the Villa and a sheet of useful instructions and tips. The Villa is managed by a couple Pete and Erika who live locally and they also were an absolute pleasure to deal with. From arrival to departure we had a wonderful stay. The Villa itself is immaculately kept, and we even found that there were condiments, tea, coffee, washing up liquids and soaps left by previous visitors that we made excellent use of. We loved the location of the Villa and it was reassuring that the property was totally enclosed meaning the children could run around, play and shout without interrupting any neighbours. The pool is beautifully maintained by the property manager who came mid week to clean and check the chemicals for us. We made use of the BBQ a couple of times which the children enjoyed. My husband and I even enjoyed a moonlight dip in the pool with the lights on when the kids were in bed. The nearby villages of Frigilana and Competa are well worth a visit and we found lots of nice places to enjoy food out in nearby Torrox. All in all, a wonderful holiday, in a beautiful Villa. We cannot wait to return 😍

We chose Torrox for it's quaint whitewashed village, (approx. 6 mins drive) stunning views of the campo and mountains and it's coast (approx. 10 mins drive) with beautiful beaches, promenade and great range of shops bars and restaurants. Torrox is easily accessible with Malaga airport approx. 40 mins drive.

Malaga Airport 45 mins (50km) by car. Car hire is recommended due to location of property however taxi companies operate to the villa.


Torrox Pueblo is 5 mins drive or 30 mins walk through the countryside. 10 mins from coastal resort of Torrox Costa with all amenities and lovely promenade lined with bars and restaurants. 15 mins from busy resort of Nerja and 20 mins from Torre del Mar.

Further Details:

Local shops, banks, restaurants and supermarket it Torrox Pueblo 5 mins away with a larger selection of shops supermarkets, banks and restaurants in Torrox Costa. There are lots of local markets and a large shopping complex in Torre del Mar (20 mins). Granada and the Alhambra Palace are 1 1/2 hrs away. Lots of local walks including the Puerta Verde on the doorstep. Local taxi services available, approx 15 Euros to coast.

From the Owner

Casa Del Sol is easily located directly off the Torrox/Frigiliana Road. The villa is nestled in a very large plot surrounded by gardens to the front and orchard to the rear with it's selection of fruit trees. A large terrace provides space for alfresco dining and leads on to a pool of approx. 8x4 mtrs surrounded by paved area for sunbathing. A further terrace surrounded by shrubs provides a private area for sunbathing, reading or dining. The front of the villa boasts a winter garden with breathtaking views of the campo and sea for those cooler evenings. For the very active a scenic walkway which leads to Torrox village in one direction and Frigiliana in the other is approx. 20 mtrs from the villa. Nerja, golf and many water activities are also a very short drive away.
