Villa Minoas is situated at the tiny village of Anania in Skopelos island and is 8km distance from the island’s harbor and town.

-- Corner sofa with coffee table, dinner table with four chairs, teakwood bookcase for TV, CD player, free internet ,books binocular. Kitchen in the same room.
-- Swimming pool (10X3.5m) with hydro-massage and open air shower. There is a shallow part (40 cm depth) at the end of the swimming pool for children
-- Accessibility to verandas, around the house and pool area by persons with mobility problems or wheelchair. Ramp leading from the park.
This is a house inspired by the ancient history of Skopelos (Minoan colony1500 b.C) situated at the village of Ananias, recreation area of the locals. Once you enter the gate you drive to the stunning view. There is a spacious sunbathing area around the pool with sunbeds and specially made umbrella. At the spacious verandas open to the magnificent view, one can enjoy a special outdoor dinner using the near by barbecue. All the teak-wood work is specially made by local craftsmen in a traditional fashion. The murals, (painted by the owner Vasso) all over the walls, intent to create an artistic and pleasant atmosphere referring to the offering processions, sports, flora and fauna of Greece.The windows are situated all around the house to bring the view, fresh air and light inside. Welcome offerings wait for the guests on the dinner table to give them the first tastes of the island.
About the owners: Spyros Kosmas and his wife Vasso are both artists. They have worked out the architectural designs of the villa and have done the sculptures (Spyros) and the mosaics and murals (Vasso) following the Minoan style. The villa stands on a Kosmas family property which includes a small monastery dating back to 1670 A.D. and surrounding forest with damma-damma deer.Spyros and Vasso are known all over the island for their activities about the environmental cultural and touristic improvement of the community, organizing and participating artistic events, meetings about tradition and athletic events like sailing regattas. They are educated (Spyros is an economist and Vasso studied Fine Arts), both speak fluent English, have travelled a lot around the globe and are very friendly..
The property it belongs to my family since 19th century and the location is the most beutiful in the midle of the island that is why it was used from the old times before the turists come to the island as sumer resting area.
The villa is of a special architectural style referring to the ancient Minoan history of Skopelos. The whole area is overlooking forested hills, the sea and the islands near by. It gets fresh air and magnificent sky lights all day and night and is the perfect place for bird and star watching. One may take short or long walks in the natural landscape. The villa itself has its own mini forest surrounding the spacious pool and sunbathing area forming a peaceful and secluded place. It has its own entrance and parking area. It is easily accessible for people with mobility problems or wheelchairs. There is also a barbeque where one may bake delicacies and enjoy them at the veranda dining area. Binocular for bird and star watching and Damma- Damma deer in the surrounding family forest.
Coast/Beach:
The lovely beaches of Kastani (MAMMA MIA), Panormos, Limnonary, Agnondas, Glyfoneri, are within an approximate 10minute drive from the villas. . Snorkeling at the rocky coast is very interesting and there are organized boat excursions to the Marine Park with its Monachus-Monachus seals and dolphins at the deserted islands.

Car hire is essential the air port is on the next island of Skiathos 7 miles away
there is also air port near Volos at Anchialos.

Wild goats and a private collection of wild deer, (the Mediterranean dama-dama) roam the forest which runs down the slope in front of the house and back up the other side meeting the family owned church of Analypsis dating back to 1670. Villa Minoas is located in the tiny village of Ananias (recreation area of locals since many years) which is a 6,5 km drive from Skopelos town in the hills above Glyfonery beach facing east toward Alonissos villa sits on a huge piece of the Kosmas family land.
Shops, restaurants, supermarkets, banks, the town clinic are in Skopelos town. Some food markets can be found at Elios. Fuel stations are on the main road near Skopelos town and two in Glossa.
