This imposing Georgian House is literally a stone's throw from the beach. Situated in the pretty North devon village of Instow, this impressive house has unrivalled views across the Torridge estuary to Appledore and on towards Lundy island. Enjoy beautiful sunsets from the garden or the bay window of the sitting room. The house offers itself as either an ideal family holiday location or somewhere to celebrate a special location. The well appointed living areas are complemented with an enclosed courtyard off the kitchen. There is a self-contained living, dining and sleeping accommodation (two bedrooms and kitchen) on the lower ground floor of the house, making it ideal for older children or those who need facilities on a level setting.This is accessible to both the front garden and the rest of the house. Out to the front of the house is a lawned area with views over the beach and towards the historic village of Appledore across the estuary. Instow is a pretty village with shops, eateries and pubs, all within easy walking distance. The wonderful beach with its lovely sand dunes is ideal for all ages and has its own appeal at any time of year. The town of Bideford is a short journey away with a comprehensive range of facilities, including large supermarket. A trip to Lundy Island can be organized from the quayside. Westward Ho! (4 miles) has a long stretch of sand and good surf. The surfing beaches of Saunton Sands, Croyde and Woolacombe are also all within easy striking distance, including being served by the local bus service. There is also a swimming pool at Northam (2 miles). The house is also ideally located to explore either Exmoor, to the East, and its surrounding attractions, or to the West, the North Devon/Cornish coastline, with its excellent walking and hidden treasures, Clovelly, Bucks Mill and Hartland Quay. The Big Sheep Farm Park, the Milky Way Activity Park, Dartington Crystal and RHS Rosemoor are other local places to visit. The Tarka Trail and footpath can be accessed from the village. John's of Instow provides a well stocked shop with wonderful Deli selling local produce, 500 yards. There are also three lovely pub restaurants within 200 yards. The ground floor of the house comprises a very spacious living room; a morning room with TV, a large well equipped dining-kitchen, that comfortably seats 12. Double doors to private, secure courtyard, a utility room with large washing machine and tumble dryer, and a shower room with toilet. The lower ground floor consists of a sitting room/dining area, kitchen, double bedroom, twin bedroom, shower room and separate toilet. Access to the main house by internal stairs and double French doors to the front patio and garden. On the first floor there are two king rooms with sea views, one double with single day bed, a twin bedroom and two family bathrooms. (including baths and showers). Electricity. About the Owner

We live in the UK and BlueHayes is our second home that we let out for selected weeks during the year. The house is very nicely decorated, tastefully furnished and well equipped. We hope you enjoy BlueHayes and Instow as much as we do.

We bought BlueHayes after spending a number of wonderful holidays in the area. We think Instow is a special place. It provides all the ingredients for a lovely holiday - a beautiful sandy beach, sand dunes, good pub restaurants, a fabulous general store called Johns that sells tasty local produce, and a ferry that runs across the estuary to Appledore. Instow is also well situated for easy access to the North Devon surfing beaches and Exmoor. BlueHayes is situated right on the beach, with fabulous views across the estuary to Appledore. Being keen sailors we keep our boat in Instow and use BlueHayes ourselves regularly.

BlueHayes is a beautiful Georgian house that is situated right on the beach. It is nicely decorated, tastefully furnished and professionally maintained. The house comfortably sleeps 12 adults. The large kitchen and lounge makes the house ideal for family gatherings where everyone can sit and dine together. BlueHayes makes a great base to enjoy Instow and North Devon. For walkers and cyclists, the Tarka trail runs through Instow. Sailors can use the local sailing club. A regular and very reasonable bus service provides easy access to local towns and surfing beaches, if you prefer not to drive. There are three pub restaurants within easy walking distance. A trip on the ferry to Appledore for crabbing off the pier and fish and chips afterwards is also a highlight.
