Villa in Mijas Costa, Costa del Sol, Spain - Quiet Location but not isolated. A 10 minute drive to La Cala De Mijas with all Its amenities

A 4 bed, 4 Bath beautifully restored Finca, all on one level, in its own mediterranean grounds of 5000 m. Approached , down a palm lined drive to a courtyard parking area for numerous cars. You enter the Finca into an enclosed patio which leads to the front door. There is a covered terrace which is ideal in the early evenings. to sit, sipping your G & T, having picked a lemon from the lemon trees, and with the intense perfume of the dama de noche filling the air. There are several patios in this lovely villa and it is virtually surrounded with terraces. At the back is the covered Dining area with a BBQ and extra seating for all to enjoy whilst catching up on your day. The beautiful pool area with its pool of 8 m x 4 m x 1.2 m depth has magnificent views of the Sierras of the Parque Nacional, and is surrounded by Hibiscus, Oleander, Palms and other plants. It has a canopied chill out bed, lots of sunbeds and a bar. The house is stylishly furnished with an open plan sitting room, study and dining room, which leads into a large very modern kitchen with all appliances. La Cala de Mijas has 3 supermarkets including a very good Lidl, lots of restaurants, offering a variety of cuisines and prices, and beach restaurants where you can sample the freshly grilled sardines and other local delicacies. There are two outdoor markets, on Wednesdays and Fridays. There are also many festivals organised by the local Town Hall which are held in the square and on the beaches with music and dancing.Their is a limited bus service for those who do not want to drive please e mail me for information on times and cost of taxi transfers from the Airport

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house. It was even better than we expected, the decorating and all the details in the house, the big kitchen and beautiful yard and the surroundings were just perfect. It was very private but Stephen was close by if we needed anything. The area is nice and we went horseback riding to a stable thats within a walking distance. Truly an unique place!

Beautiful property in a gorgeous location

We were a family group of 9 including 2 young children and we had a fabulous time at the finca. The photographs really don't do the property justice - the finca is very large and beautifully presented. The outdoor space is stunning and really does have everything you require for a relaxing holiday. There are lots of outdoor sitting areas situated around the finca including a large table that comfortably seats 8. The swimming pool was lovely and warm when we visited in mid September and is ideal for children as it does not have a deep end. The day bed under the shade is a great chill out space for 2.

The kitchen is well stocked and there is a large fridge and freezer providing more than enough cold storage. All bedrooms were a nice size and all en suite with plenty of storage space.

Steve was a great host and provided provisions for us when we first arrived as it was late at night to ensure we had breakfast for the children. He also provided local knowledge and ensured we were ok when we had a family medical emergency.

FANTASTIC VILLA.......Just returned from a two week stay in this amazing property...

Stayed in this amazing property mid August and from the moment we arrived at the entrance we knew we'd chosen the perfect place.....superb villa with beautiful surroundings,plenty of outdoor space to relax and entertain.Inside was huge compared to other villas we have stayed in with four double bedrooms all equipped with ensuite bathrooms,large open plan kitchen which led out to the terrace which at night was amazing all lit up.....Lounge area was again enormous and a welcome retreat from the sun if needed..The owner Stephen was a top guy who was always on hand if needed(even dropping off in La Cala to pick our car up....)

The villa is up in the hills so a hire is needed but you could easily spend your days lounging round the pool and relaxing.

All in all would definitely recommend Finca Dos Santos and hope to return in the future...

Fab Fun In The Sun....

Just returned from an amazing 10 days at Finca Dos Santos. Steve was great ,very friendly (as expected from a fellow northerner!...lol ) and gave great recommendations with local restaurants and places to visit. The villa is huge and beautifully decorated with a great sized pool , bbq with outdoor dining area- which we used lots and plenty of other chill out areas. Netflix kept the kids entertained when too hot outside. It's just under 15mins drive into La Cala where there are supermarkets, plenty of great restaurants , beach, kids play areas and evening market stalls. Mijas Pueblo is a beautiful white washed village and is well worth a day out ... lots of restaurants, shops, a chocolate shop with chocolate workshops/ice-cream/ hand made choc to buy. We took a tuk tuk ride around village but can also take donkey or horse and cart rides.

Weather was gorgeous....soooo hot.

You can get taxis into La Cala for about 14euros but you may have to wait a while so would advise booking a day in advance if during busy season.

All in all we had a fab time and wish we were still there.

Super time had by all of us

The villa location is miles from nearest town so a car is essential but that was why we chose it. There is everything you will need at the villa excellently kitted out. Bedrooms have plenty of space, the hole villa & grounds have plenty of space. The pool area bathes in sunshine during the day but shade is there if required.

Overall my family had an absolute super holiday & would not hesitate to book again. Stephen was always available if required but for us not needed. If you wanted to know anything about the area then Stephen was the person to ask.

Fantastic finca with stunning views

We had a fantastic holiday at Stephens's delightful villa. Set in and amongst beautiful gardens we just could not help but relax. Being able to walk up into the mountains most mornings was a treat before breakfast. The villa is spacious and attractively furnished throughout. The icing on the cake was wall to wall blue sky and warmth for the whole week we were there.

La Cala de mijas is a 10 minute drive with its blue flag beaches and all amenities

Further Details:

There are 3 Supermarkets in La Cala de Mijas including Lidl. Many restaurants, bars and banks.

IN the direction of Fuengirola there is a very large new Carrefour, which is a Hypermarket. Also there is the dept store El Corte Ingles which is also at Marbella.

There are many other shopping areas and Malls forwhich the owner would be pleased to supply information.

Nr Fuengirola is a water park with slides etc.

The Malaga lakes are one hour drive and is worth a visit
