John and Sharon retired to Moraira in 2014 year after discovering this beautiful area a few year ago and now enjoy one of best parts of the coast to chill out and relax to, as any holiday maker will soon find out, our villa in a easy going community of 78 villas one mile from the sea and a 5 min walk to a 9 hole golf course, it has a large modern studio apartment on the ground floor suitable for a couple to use as a base to explore the wonderful area ,as we live here all year round we are always available for help and advice or to sort any problems

Quiet and pleasant stay

The property was clean and tidy and situated in a lovely area just outside of Moraira itself.

The area was lovely and quiet - probably the quietest place i've stayed at since first going to the area !

John and Sharon are excellent hosts and the property is well equipped with everything you would need from a holiday rental. I can't say anything about the community pool as I didn't use it, but it looked great - will have to try it next time !

I would have no hesitation in recommending this property, and will undoubtedly stay there again on a future visit to Moraira.

Like a home from home with the most gracious hosts

Sharon and John made our stay in moraira the most wonderful comfortable week we could have asked for. From the moment we got in contact with them we were made to feel so welcome. The facilities they provided were excellent they made every effort to make our trip as comfortable and enjoyable as they could. The property was in a prime location with amble amenities and was spotlessly clean. We arranged to wine, coffee, milk and bread to make our arrival as easy as possible and even offered to meet us from the motorway to guide us to the property.

If you are visiting moraira this is the place o stay, great value for money and even greater hosts.

Thank you John and Sharon and see you again soon!

Wonderful break and lovely hosts.

Ideal spot to use as a base to explore this beautiful coastline. Apartment spotless, John and Sharon very helpful and friendly. Use of pool and private roof terrace a bonus. Would recommend hiring a car to make the most of this wonderful area. Thank you for a wonderful break.

Alojamiento donde no puedes cocinar..

Apartamento.

El apartamento es el bajo de un chalet de dos plantas. La terraza es el piso superior. Que lo que no te dicen en la reserva es que solo puedes usarlo hasta las 23h. Con lo cual ¡sorpresa! Ya que normalmente solo se puede usar por la noche para tomar algo, por el día a sol abierto no hay quién esté ahí.

El apartamento no tiene aire acondicionado. El dueño nos dijo que era muy caro. Pero por la noche teníamos que estar oyendo las dos máquinas que tiene él de aire acondicionado arriba. Para nosotros un ventilador.

La cocina es una placa que han puesto ahí, y no existe ninguna infraestructura de cocina. Resulta que no tiene salida de humos (ni campana ni nada). El primer día que nos pusimos a cocinar, haciendo algo a la plancha y ¡sorpresa! No hay salida de humos pero sí hay un detector de humos a 2 metros de la cocina. Así que se activó la alarma. ¿Creéis que bajaron los dueños a ver qué pasaba? Nada. Por eso los comentarios de que los dueños son muy atentos, los ha debido poner algún relativo.

Si querías fregar algo, pues no hay sitio entre el fregadero y la cocina, y no puedes dejar nada para secar. Tienes que ingeniártelas.

Lo peor es la luz. El apartamento no tiene ninguna ventana. Tiene un tragaluz en una esquina frente a las camas, cuya mitad está por debajo del suelo, y como tiene figuras de piedra cruzando, no entra casi nada de luz. Hay que estar siempre con alguna luz encendida porque es desesperante. Lo más curioso es que ha puesto focos transparentes en el baño y la zona de camas que dan dentro de un garaje, que por supuesto está siempre cerrado (de hecho el huésped no debe entrar ahí).

El frigorífico es pequeño, pero hace ruido de excavadora. Por la noche el ruido es como si respirase alguien. (Entre la gama que tiene). Llevaros tapones para los oídos.

Aparcamiento.

En teoría dicen que se puede aparcar. Nosotros pudimos porque al no haber vecinos en frente aparcábamos en su plaza. Si hubiera habido habríamos tenido muy mal lo de aparcar, ya que el garaje no es para coches y tienen un trozo ajardinado que impide que se pueda aparcar al lado de la casa. O sea que lo de aparcamiento es una licencia lo que se toman.Trayecto hasta el centro y playas

Aunque figura que es un kilómetro o una milla, hay más. Eso solo es hasta la rotonda de la carretera y ahí no hay playa, solo roca y locales. Hay dos rutas. Una que es la que te deja más cerca del pueblo, no es para peatones. No hay aceras, y las curvas son cerradas y con problemas F

Owner's Response: yes well thank you for your review!!! point one I never advertised the apartmentas having air conditioning it is expensive to fit and run and I would have increase pricesto cover the cost and at the moment I'm the cheapest self catering apartment in Moraira on HomeandAway and as regards to my air conditioning I never run more than one at a time and certainly not through the night they are very new and quiet models, you fail to mention that the rocky cove that you didn't like is absolutely beautiful with Crystal clear waters surround buy lovely bars restaurants and shop with fantastic views to Moraira castle, as for the noisey fridge all fridges make a noise and more so when the weather is hot as they work harder it only 2 years old and not a cheap one also is a full size under counter model, no other guest has complained, as for I'll equipped kitchen it has a dulce gusto coffee machine, a halogen oven, 4 ring hob, toaster, microwave, electric kettle, electric juicer, oh and a noisey fridge, and you fail to mention I left you, tea bags, sugar, instant coffee, coffee pods for dulce gusto, milk biscuits, wine, butter, loaf of bread and some washing up liquid, kitchen roll, shower gel , and toilet rolls what more did you expect at £30 a night for two, I left you a parking space out side my garage during your stay but you chose not to use it as it's on an incline but managed to park off road opposite the apartment every day!! yes the apartment is a littleon the dark side this is in the advert but there are two small windows but on holiday who wants to be inside there a small sunny terrace and also a very private roof terrace for your use only, it is dark at night outside but there is a light that you must of failed to put on before you went out well apart from that i hope you enjoyed your holiday take care sharon dudley
