The inspiration for buying the apartment was based on a lovely weekend we had in Oxford in a similar high quality apartment. We aimed to provide something similar in our vibrant home town of Canterbury and offer people a similar experience to the one we enjoyed. We looked at many apartments, but chose this property based on the desirable location…quiet, close proximity to amenities & city centre, parking and quality of finish. In fact all that we would look for. Canterbury itself has much to offer for families and couples alike. Whether exploring the history or the numerous restaurants & bars in this cosmopolitan city.

What makes this apartment unique

Benefits to this property over others is the close proximity to the centre with a parking space, but at the same time being in a quiet, safe location far enough away from the noise and congestion of a more centrally located property.

Notes on accommodation: Cot & high chair available on request. Outside: There are communal gardens for clients to use. Utility Room: Utility equipment is kept in the apartment cupboard. This includes iron, ironing board, clothes airer, torch, hoover, mop, bucket, broom, dustpan & brush. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels and linen are provided & the apartment is cleaned on a weekly basis. Towels & linen are changed weekly.

"A home from home"

A lovely apartment in a great location only a short walk from the city. The welcome basket of goodies & milk in the fridge was much appreciated especially as we arrived late at night. The bed was comfy & the owners had provided everything we needed to make it feel like a home from home.

Canterbury is a lovely, friendly city.

Clean apartment, comfortable bed. Owner provided a non-slip bath mat when told that my husband and I felt unsafe getting into and out of the bath. Strange experience towards the end of our stay...I locked only the top lock on the apartment door in the morning. On our return in the afternoon, the bottom lock was also locked yet we supposedly had the only keys.

To put your mind at rest, our cleaner came a day early by mistake. They realised their mistake & left immediately , locking both locks as we always ask them to do. Kind Regards Hayley & Paul

Holiday

The apartment is well appointed, clean but in need of some maintenance especially in the bathroom area. We also had to clean the washing machine before use as the rubber seal was slimy & black & smelled offensive. Our short 5 day holiday was married by scaffolding being erected for 3 of those days outside every window of the apartment with the guys at window height so no privacy & noisy. Far from the peaceful haven advertised. The owners did not inform us at all that there would be building work during our stay which is disappointing as I would have stayed elsewhere.

Really lovely

Great apartment very close to town with car parking space. Flat is lovely inside with everything you need. My husband is disabled so going in via the back entrance and up the lift was ideal.

We loved doing the Great Stour Way walk which was 6 miles round trip all accessible by disabled scooter walking by the river. Canterbury town is lovely and very accessible for disabled visitor. We loved our time away thank you

Excellent property ideal location

We spent over 3 months at this well appointed and located property (Nov 16 to a March 17) and had a great time . Owners are very helpful and some minor issues were sorted immediately they arose. We would stay there again without question.

Convenient. Quality. Clean. Modern.

A lovely surprise as there was a designated parking space . It is less than 10 minutes walk to the city. The apartment was clean and had all the items you needed for modern living. The wifi was excellent in all rooms. The apartment is on the ground floor and is ideal for older people. Thank you to Hayley for the welcome basket and thank you also to Waitrose for only being a few minutes walk away. We would happily stay there again.

Coast/Beach:

Whitstable is a popular seaside town and shingle beach. Good range of local shops, restaurants & a small harbour from which a local shellfishing fleet operates. The Neptune pub sits virtually on the beach, & is a nice spot for a pint & lunch. There is a cycle path between Whitstable & Canterbury called the crab and winkle way. Tankerton beach has timber groynes and sand at low tide. The grassy slopes that lead down from Marine Parade enhance the rural character of the beach. Great for families.

Nearest Airport - Gatwick.

Nearest train stations - Canterbury East (about a 15 minute walk) & Canterbury West (25 minute walk) - High speed train to London departs from here.

Nearest port - Dover (20 minute drive)
