Convenient. Quality. Clean. Modern.

A lovely surprise as there was a designated parking space . It is less than 10 minutes walk to the city. The apartment was clean and had all the items you needed for modern living. The wifi was excellent in all rooms. The apartment is on the ground floor and is ideal for older people. Thank you to Hayley for the welcome basket and thank you also to Waitrose for only being a few minutes walk away. We would happily stay there again.

Ideally situated apartment for visiting Canterbury

The apartment is ideal for a visit of Canterbury as it is close to the centre and there are good facilities nearby to go shopping for food or eating out. The place itself is well kept, clean and has everything you need for your stay. The owner, who lives in the building, is very helpful and friendly and provides great service. We would certainly recommend the property. Canterbury is very interesting, especially the Cathedral, the Augustine Abbey and we would definitely go on a punting tour on the river Stour again. The Italian restaurant "Il Posticino" on Dover Street provides delicious food.

Great apartment

Elms court is a great apartment it has every thing you need when you want a relaxing holiday it is in walking distance from town but it is in a peaceful apartment block, Hayley was very accommodating about our long journey. We would stay in this apartment again if we visit Canterbury,well done

Very clean, Spacious, Quiet and Private Apartment

This was my first time traveling to England, and my boyfriend helped me to find this perfect apartment for the two weeks i stayed in Canterbury. Everything was provided for us from towels, extra sheets, cleaning equipment, kitchen utensils and the thoughtful welcome basket. I like to clean and cook myself, and the owner made sure i had everything i needed. The apartments are quiet, which i loved coming back to after long days of sightseeing. The location is also a plus, since it's close to the city center. I was able to walk there in less than 15 minutes :). I would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to stay in Canterbury. I enjoyed my two weeks in this apartment, it felt like home.

The best apartment in Canterbury.

I have been a frequent visitor to the historical Canterbury from Japan since graduating from University of Kent, although I have stayed and lived in Oxford as well as Cambridge.

Then I have finally found a gorgeous and perfect property.

Here is so safe (=my top priority), tranquil, clean, spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. Also the tariff is not expensive.

The owner's personality comes out clearly in the way of organising the property.

Absolutely the property is arranged carefully by the owner so that we guests can thoroughly enjoy and relieve stress.

I look forward to returning here this May and I would love to book here in October as well before someone books.

Anyway I am so happy to have happened to find here.

The inspiration for buying the apartment was based on a lovely weekend we had in Oxford in a similar high quality apartment. We aimed to provide something similar in our vibrant home town of Canterbury and offer people a similar experience to the one we enjoyed. We looked at many apartments, but chose this property based on the desirable location…quiet, close proximity to amenities & city centre, parking and quality of finish. In fact all that we would look for. Canterbury itself has much to offer for families and couples alike. Whether exploring the history or the numerous restaurants & bars in this cosmopolitan city.

Activity and Interests

Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

Whitstable is a popular seaside town and shingle beach. Good range of local shops, restaurants & a small harbour from which a local shellfishing fleet operates. The Neptune pub sits virtually on the beach, & is a nice spot for a pint & lunch. There is a cycle path between Whitstable & Canterbury called the crab and winkle way. Tankerton beach has timber groynes and sand at low tide. The grassy slopes that lead down from Marine Parade enhance the rural character of the beach. Great for families.

Travel:

Nearest Airport - Gatwick.

Nearest train stations - Canterbury East (about a 15 minute walk) & Canterbury West (25 minute walk) - High speed train to London departs from here.

Nearest port - Dover (20 minute drive)

Euro Tunnel - Folkstone (30 minute drive)

Euro Star - Ashford (30 minute)

Bus station - 10 minute walk

Bus stop - 2 minute walk

It is not essential to have a car as is within walking distance to town.
