About the property

House in Tenby, Pembrokeshire, Wales - Sought-After Location - Peaceful But With Easy Access To Beaches, Cliff Paths, Town & Shops

Situated in one of the most sought-after locations to live in Tenby, we bought No 4 Queens Parade nearly 2 decades ago as our first home. We lovingly restored its original features, mixed in some modern bits, and had great times there. It still has a lot of personal touches, so we hope it feels like home from home for you too. Real fires, chandeliers, original art work, and a lovely 'feel' to the property kind of sum it up. Latest addition for 2017 will be a hot tub in a sunny corner of the private walled garden to the rear. It's been a holiday home for the last 15 years, and your feedback tells us that it is spacious, comfy, and ideal for families and extended families. There's a sheltered walled-garden to rear and small patio at the front for sun-downers. It has something for everyone. Parking by permit, immediately opposite the house - and we can help you obtain a permit for the duration of your stay.

If you like the look of this property - see also our others - China Cottage (sleeps 7) ref 8165260; No1 Albert View (sleeps 4) ref 8165786; and No2 Albert View (sleeps 6) ref 1820417 - they are all equally stylish in their own way, very central and VERY near the beaches. NB, subject to availability No1 & No2 Albert View can be let together to form whole town-house accommodation for family and extended family of 10 - a rarity around the Harbour!

About Julie Jones, owner of TENBY TOWN COTTAGES

Tenby Town Cottages is a family-run business with over 15 years' experience of letting our own houses & cottages in Tenby. We also own popular foodie-pubs in Tenby, and a little gift/bookshop, so showing Tenby and its gorgeous offerings at their very best are at the heart of what we do. We love Tenby, and make it our business to make sure you will too.

We try to answer every query within 24 hours, but because of our numerous other business commitments, it is not always possible to do so. If we haven't responded directly to you (as opposed to an automated message from OD) please feel free to follow up your enquiry with a text or phone call. Thanks.

Why Julie Jones, owner of TENBY TOWN COTTAGES chose Pembroke, Tenby, Saundersfoot & The South Coast

Our little portfolio of cottages & houses started when we bought No4 Queens Parade in 1999 as our first home. We lovingly restored it and enjoyed some great times there.

Then China Cottage in Cob Lane came available, and it was so quaint and central that we acquired that too. Given its age and thick original walls, it's taken some time to 'modernise', but it has a lovely spacious yet cosy feel to it and couldn't be more central.

No1 Albert View came next, situated right next to our traditional 'fisherman's' pub just off the Harbour; with its ground floor apartment it's perfect for a small family or two couples up for exploring the town and its beaches. No2 Albert View and Church Doors are our latest additions and will be our most modern & stylish projects to date.

What makes this house unique

All our properties are inside the old Tenby Town walls or within minutes walk of them. Leave the car and spend your days on the beaches, going on fishing trips, exploring Caldey Island or the old town; or use our properties as a base for visiting the huge number of attractions Pembrokeshire has to offer.

"What a great house, loads of room, good garden for the kids. All slept like logs. Rain kept coming but loved Tenby." Brain family; Aug 2014

Perfect property for us

  • 5 of 5

We had a great weekend whilst based here. The property is spacious, well kept and perfectly located (off the main thoroughfare) for all that Tenby and the surrounding area has to offer. The views from the property are wonderful...looking over the coast and boasts a nice sun-trap (chill-out space with a glass of wine) at the front of the property. You are only minutes away from the beaches. We were attending a kids rugby festival in St Clears, only 20 minutes or so drive away. We love visiting Tenby and we'd love to stay here again.

Activity and Interests

Special interest holidays:

The location is perfect for those interested in walking Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, competing in Ironman Wales or Longcourse competitions, or wanting to visit Caldey Island, or making the most of our kilometres of sandy beaches & coastline. There is also an annual Tenby Arts Festival in September and an annual Blues Festival in November.

Coast/Beach:

5 minutes' walk to South Beach; 10 minutes' walk to Castle or Harbour Beach; 15 minutes' walk to North Beach. 20-min boat trip to Caldey Island. Simple car-journey to Barafundle Bay, Freshwater East or West (great surf) Manorbier, Swan Lake, or even Blue Lagoon in the north of the County.

Travel:

Use of car is recommended but not essential. The property is 5 minutes' walk from Tenby Railway Station.

Distances:

The lovely shops in Narberth are 20 minutes away, Carmarthen town and Haverfordwest town are each 35 minutes away. The stunning castle at Pembroke is just 20 minutes away. Caldey Island by boat is a must-do trip when staying in Tenby.

Further Details:

All the local shops and supermarkets are literally around the corner. We can recommend some great pubs & restaurants, and a list will be available at the property. Tenby serves as a great base for exploring the area - Folly Farm, Manor House Wildlife Park (aka Anna's Welsh Zoo), Heatherton Country Park (a huge day out with lots of activities for all the family), Bluestone Resort and Blue Lagoon water park, Oakwood theme park, and the whole of the Pembrokeshire coast are yours for the taking.
