Just a short 15-minute walk from bustling Whitstable, this ideal family get away is in a beautiful 1930s character-filled beach cottage with everything you could possibly need or want, for both the children and parents alike. Offering huge bay windows this light, retro-styled house is a great place to kick back and relax. Sit in the window to read the papers or the cottage garden with its trampoline and timber playhouse to entertain the kids. Downstairs a reception room with a working fire adjoins a stylish kitchen, and a separate dining room with large French doors opening on to a south-facing garden offering alfresco dining under a fig tree. A utility room, with washing machine and tumble dryer make for lighter packing and the family room with drawing table, toys, books, games, sofas and second TV should keep kids amused regardless of the weather. With three bedrooms, an upstairs bathroom and downstairs shower room, off street parking space for two cars, a front porch for buggies, wellies, buckets etc.., Pebble Escape provides ample space to happily accommodate your needs. The bunk beds in the 3rd bedroom offer a double bed on the bottom and single over top and there is a double sofa bed in the playroom (this as small double so may not be suitable for 2 adults). Please note that there is an additional charge per stay for the 8th and 9th guest, to add your additional guests you must tick the extra guest box and select either one or two (one for an 8th guest and two for a 9th guest) when booking on line. Guests are also able to bring a pet dog to the cottage at an additional surcharge per night. In House Facilities ~ Central heating, linen & towels, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, iron and board, washing machine and tumble dryer, Wi-Fi, 2 TVs and DVD players, DAB radio with ipod/phone connection, high chair, hair dryer, kettle, toaster, trampoline, off street parking for 2 cars, games room, children's toys & DVD's. Local Facilities ~ Located 100m from a parade of shops including bakers, green grocers, butchers as well as numerous coffee shops and a handy express supermarket. The beach is at the bottom of the road, with an essential ice cream shop perched at the top of the buggy-friendly slope down to the lifeguard hut and patrolled strip of beach. Just a short walk away is Whitstable with all its beautiful shops, restaurants and famed fishing harbour. On route is Whitstable Castle with a fantastic playground and cafe, and a little further on is a local swimming pool and bowling alley. Tankerton also provides a host of cafes, restaurants and takeaways.

Notes on accommodation: Extra Guests and Pets This property is pet friendly there is a surcharge to bring your pet dog/s (it is for up to 2 dogs, please contact us if you have more), when booking on line you will need to tick the Daily Dog Fee box and then select the number of days that you will staying at the property from the drop down menu. The prices quoted are currently set for 7 guests, there is the option to use the small double sofa bed for either 1 adult or 2 children sharing and this is charged per guest per stay. The charming seaside town of Whitstable is located in the Northeast of Kent. The town is situated approximately five miles north of the city of Canterbury and two miles west of Herne Bay. From the seashore, the town of Whitstable also boasts excellent views of the Isle of Sheppey which is only a short distance away.

One of the main characteristics of the quaint town of Whitstable is the booming oyster business that it has all year round. Oyster harvesting started in the Roman times and is a continued pastime in the town of Whitstable, as well as providing the local bars and restaurants with fresh oysters and other seafood daily, Whitstable also celebrates the importance of oyster to their town with a festival.

Whitstable prides itself on its authentic and slightly bohemian charm which provides guests with a unique and welcoming feel you don’t always find in big cities. Close to Whitstable harbour is the famous Harbour Street which provides guests with pretty shop front, boutiques and restaurants all of which are situated in building that haven’t changed from over a hundred years.

As well as the Oyster Festival and the famous Harbour Street what is there to do in Whitstable you may wonder...but fear not, there is no lack of things to entertain and occupy your time while on your holiday.
