Gatehouse in Englefield Green, Nr. Egham, Surrey, England - Peaceful Location With Easy Access To Windsor Great Park Convenient For Heathrow Airport

An immaculate spacious property with 2 bedrooms and one bathroom on a private, secure gated estate situated on a quiet lane. Approx. 950 square feet. Lounge, separate dining room with wood burning stove, modern kitchen, all presented to a high standard and furnished with a mixture of modern and antique furniture. We can sleep 6 with the use of 2 chair beds. Built on 3 levels so not suitable for those with mobility issues. We accept children 11 years and over.

We will also accept a maximum of 2 house-trained dogs. Owners should inform us of their intention to bring them and inform us of their breed as there are certain ones we do not accept.

This property is part of our home and we are delighted to assist you during your stay.

Quiet and cosy in Surrey!

The property was tidy, well organised and sparklingly clean.

Lesley couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating to these guests - who needed to change their schedule at the last minute!

The property was well equipped with all mod cons. The Wifi was the best we have seen at any BnB yet. Very very fast and usable from every room!

Our stay was at the end of a long family holiday thru Europe and the UK and this place was perfect for us to unwind and relax before our long trip back to Australia.

Thanks again, Lesley. Hopefully we will return in a few years!

Fantastic property to use as a base to explore

We stayed here for 3 nights with our dog Eddie while attending Dogfest in the nearby Windsor Great Park & weren't disappointed. The property is well maintained with secure parking in a lovely quiet area yet near enough to interesting places to visit as well as London. The owner is friendly & helpful & everything you need is supplied, even things that do not usually come included in a holiday rental such as kitchen roll, cooking oil, tea,coffee,sugar & even a fresh pint of milk in the fridge. So glad they accept dogs as it was perfect for us & the owners even let you walk the dog in their grounds so early morning/late night walkies are no hassle. We would highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Short 2couple stay

Very enjoyable 3night stay in this well managed , clean , modern , comfortable gatehouse. Excellent location and entertaining owners and "pet" chickens. Stairs could be a problem for bad knee travelers but is not a issue for active elderly. Good Italian Tratoria nearby and very quiet location and private safe parking. All in all an excellent choice in all respects. Thanks , Lesley for a great stay.

Stunning property in fabulous location

Lovely property

Loved this property! It is cosy, clean, warm and practical with secure parking and lots of space. Access to the owners field for dog walking was an added bonus although Windsor Park is also very close. The location is incredibly convenient for London and the M25 etc yet very tranquil. The house appears to have been very recently decorated and kitted out and had everything I needed. The decor is stylish and contemporary with some very elegant touches I had a lovely stay and even though it was brief felt that I had made a new friend in the owner. I would highly recommend this property and certainly hope to stay again when I return to the area.

Heathrow 6 miles Gatwick 39 minutes London (Egham-Waterloo) 35 mins and a 5 minute drive to Egham station with ample parking.. Easy access to UK Motorway system (M25 5 mins away - but we do not hear it!)

Distances:

The Sun Inn within walking distance and dogs welcome at various pubs in the locality. Windsor Great Park and Savill Gardens are a very short drive. Also The WWII War Memorial and Runnymede (1 mile). Windsor 15 minutes.

Further Details:

Plenty of local restaurants and pubs within a short drive. Savill Gardens and Windsor Great Park - 0.5 miles Thorpe Park and Legoland within 7 miles. Ascot 6.5 miles. Easy access to UK motorway network.

  • Notes on accommodation: We also have further accommodation in the South Wing of the Main House - a stone's throw away across the courtyard - so can cater for larger groups up to 10 guests. If you also rent the South Wing, you get access to the Main House gardens and heated swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Dogs are very welcome. Outside: 15 acres of grounds where you may wander. In the summer we have some Sussex cattle grazing. We also keep chickens, bantams and ducks. Ample secure off-street parking. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and towels provided.
