Cozy and comfortable cottage

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful location right by the river. The cottage has everything you need for your stay, including a decent hairdryer! Five minute walk to the bus stop and fifteen minute walk to local shops. The heating wasn't on when we arrived and it was freezing. A quick call to the owner and he helped us get it working, but it did take a while to heat up. However after that we were warm as toast. Great little kitchen. We loved the big, comfy sofa and the old range. Bed is comfy too. Would definitely return to this cottage. A wee gem.

Quiet comfy cottage

  • 5 of 5

Very lovely cottage on the River Almond. Sits on a quiet dead end road, that turns into the River Almond walk. That you can walk to Cramond, and enjoy the Cramond Inn, or stroll the beach. Just a 15 min cab ride into downtown Edinburgh. Close walk to bus lines. There's a market and deli within walking distance. Upon arrival, it was a chilly day, and cottage was chilly. Gordon was so kind to pop by and show us how to turn on the heat. There was a lovely bottle of wine and Walker's biscuits waiting for us on the table. Coffee, tea, and sugar was provided for us, which was most welcome after traveling for 18 hrs to get to Edinburgh. We really would love to come back and stay again.

A lovely stay

  • 5 of 5

Ideal location. Quiet setting but only 5 min drive from main roads into the city.

Cottage very homely and comfortable with all necessary amenities. Owner left tea, coffee, sugar & other basics - a nice touch to get us started after arriving & travelling.

Would highly recommend.
