About the Owner

Hi, I'm Terry and in conjunction with my wife Jo have been running the Great House for 25 years. We moved down to the West Country in 1982 and finally found somewhere we could settle down. We bought a house with 17 acres and have been busy trying to get established ever since. In 1989 we purchased the Great House, the main reason being it joined onto our land and since 1990 have been running large group holidays with considerable success.

January/February Weekend rates £2000 for two and £2400 for three night. Exception February Half Term - £3600 for the week.

Normal weekend rates £2400 for two and £2900 for three nights. Bank Holiday weekends a minimum of three night stay.

School Holidays minimum 7 night stay -This includes the October half term. £3990 for the week.

We have the weekend of 5th/8th August available - price £2900

Christmas and New Year - Price £6000 for 7 nights or £4950 for 5 nights.

Deposit is on third on booking with the balance due 2 months before the booking date.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: All bedroom are large and five of the bedrooms in the Georgian portion have ensuites. The three bedrooms in the Tudor portion share two other bathrooms. Outside: At the front of the house a large south facing patio looking out over the village. At the rear there is a sheltered walled garden with bar-b-q area and outdoor chess. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linen is supplied but not personal towels. Other: There are two games room, one with a pool table and the other with table tennis and table football. There is also a bar (sorry not stocked) which proves very popular. The local pub often supplies a cask or two.
