Apartment in Samoens, Haute Savoie, Rhone-Alpes, France - Central Location 500 M Walk To The Town, 200 M To Ski Bus And At The Base Of The Col Du Joux Plane

2 bedroom, 2 bathroom ground floor apartment in a new development of 9 apartments. The apartment benefits from having a large decked terrace and small private garden. There is a double bedroom with ensuite shower room. The second bedroom is made up of 1 bunk and a separate single sleeping three adults comfortably. There is a main bathroom containing a shower and toilet as well as a separate toilet. There is an open plan kitchen/dining/living space with a sofa bed that can accommodate a further 2 people. There is dining space for up to 7 people. The apartment offers a ski locker near the entrance as well as off road parking. The apartments are situated near the 'petit chapel' in Samoens which is approx 500metres walk from the pedestrianised main street. There is a ski bus stop less than 200 metres away and you can drive to the main lift in less than 2 minutes. It is possible to walk to the lift but it is approx 1km away. Samoens is linked to the grand Massif ski area with 265km of slopes. Samoens is perfect for all abilities with excellent ski schools. Samoens is a perfect place for cyclists situated in the valley at the base of the famous Col du Joux Plane which gives access to cycle over to Morzine, Avoriaz and Les Gets. There are endless routes available and plenty of keen cyclists in the village to help point in the right direction. For children in the summer it is less than 500m to the park area where there is a park, football area, tennis courts, large outdoor swimming complex with fun pool, kids pool, slide and lengths pool. There are good safe cycling tracks.

Lovely apartment, very comfortable bed, nicely laid out, Kitchen includes a dish washer and washing machine. Nice outdoor space great in warm weather.

We love the Village of Samoens, this is my 6th or 7th visit, though first time staying in this appartment.

Fabulous!

We had a fabulous weekend staying here in Samoens.

The apartment was very easy to find and in an excellent location. Lots of parking outside, easy ski locker on the outside of the building and friendly neighbours.

The owner provided brilliant communication throughout and answered any questions very quickly and in the most friendly manor.

The apartment was 5star and everything was super clean.

It was such a lovely touch to have tea and coffee facilites after our journey.

I also thought that the Chalet Fairy was very helpful and friendly and also answered any questions immediately that I'd text.

Would 100% stay here again and fully recommend.

A great, cosy apartment in an ideal location

The apartment was comfortable, warm and cosy, just what's required after a long day on the slopes. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water in the morning and evening. Location was perfect....near the ski bus stop but also close enough to walk into town to stretch those muscles after skiing all day. We also walked to the larger Carrefour supermarket within 10 mins, ideal. A nice peaceful location. The village itself is beautiful and the mountains breathtaking. We used xtreme glisses for ski hire, very easy and great to store your skis right by the Grand Massif Express gondola every night. The free ski buses also go from that point and we had a couple of days starting from Morillon, a 5 minute bus ride away. The transfer company, Go Massif, whisked us from and to the airport very efficiently, so much so that we had an extra half day skiing the day we arrived....a bonus. Zig zag ski school were great too, can recommend Ben highly. An absolutely hassle free holiday, plus we had great weather, sunshine and snow. Thanks to Kate Turner for all the above suggestions, made everything easy......we're all planning our next trip to Samoens.

Location

From the Owner

We chose Samoens as a destination after two successful family ski holidays. We found the resort and the skiing to be family friendly and the lower altitude of the town(although not the slopes)makes it an all year round destination. There is life in the square at anytime of year. My husband is a keen road cyclist and loves the challenge of the local roads especially the infamous Joux Plane. In the summer Samoens is lively with lots of activities for all ages.

Perfect base for cycling holidays, both road and VTT

Coast/Beach:

Approx 4km from Morrilon lake which is swimming lake with beach

Travel:

Geneva airport is approximately 1 hour away by car. There are also good transfer companies working through the summer and winter.

7/8 hour drive from Calais

TGV station in Cluses
