A recently renovated, spacious, detached, character cottage with all mod cons. Situated in the heart of Mevagissey and just a few minutes walk from the working harbour & village centre with all it's pubs, restaurants and amenities.

4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen & utility room, dining room, living room and separate playroom (which can become a 5th bedroom). Private parking space. South facing balcony and shared garden area.

Why Tina Cheesley chose Mevagissey

After having many childhood holidays in Mevagissey I always had fond memories. Visiting as an adult I came across the house and just fell in love with it. We renovated it and decided to set up and run as a holiday home so many others can experience the delight of Meva.

Our children have grown up crabbing and pottering in the "Stuff" Shops, and my husband has enjoyed networking in the various Public Houses....

What makes this cottage unique

The property is quite unique in that it has its own parking and is just a short walk into the village. The cottage has a separate playroom for the kids or this can be turned into a 5th bedroom for larger groups or families. In fact this cottage is perfect for larger groups or families wanting to holiday together but also enjoy having plenty of space. The south facing balcony is just fantastic, perfect for an early evening glass of wine in the sunshine because it's always sunny in Meva, even at Christmas!

What a great place to stay! The apartment is luxurious in its space and how it is equipped. With off road,gated parking you then walk up through a well landscaped garden to the door which opens into a huge open plan,zoned space: nice seating area,TV, very well arranged kitchen and onto a lounge area, another TV. Large bedroom with a wall of windows,and two bathrooms. All you would need for a relaxing week and we will go back. Situated,too, just 5 min from village and quay which has excellent cafés and restaurants and pubs. Perfect!.

Outside: The cottage has a private south facing sun terrace/balcony. There is also a pretty garden laid to gravel with raised beds and planting, the garden is shared with the apartment below. Utility Room: Tumble drier & ironing facilities. Beer fridge! Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels included. Please bring your own beach towels. Cleaning and linen/towel change for bookings of more than 1 week. Other: Dining room with seating for 10. Highchair

We have visited this excellent Property many times over the last few years and always enjoyed our stay, as Mevagissy is a wonderful place which we all call our second home.

As an Artist I spend many hours down in and around the harbour sketching and painting. There are good Eating establishments and Pubs where you will always find a friendly welcome. St Austell is only a short drive away for your main shopping needs, and geographically Mevagissy is well placed for those day outings to Padstow,St Ives, Lizard, Fowey. and many other places.

The Cottage is a 5 minute walk from the picturesque working harbour of Mevagissey.

There are numerous sandy coves and beaches within walking and short driving distance of Mevagissey. Two of our favourites are -

Portmellon beach, a 20 minute walk from Mevagissey village with a nearby pub.

Gorran Haven is a popular sandy beach with safe bathing, easy access and facilities, it is only a 15 minute drive.

Mevagissey to Truro - 15 miles

We are just 9 miles from the Eden Project, a short walk or drive from the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

The historic harbour at Charlestown (6 miles) is a must see, you may get lucky and spot a tall ship.

Further Details:

Mevagissey is a bustling village with plenty of independent shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. The historic Ship Inn is well worth a visit, very friendly staff and the Tuesday night quiz is a must!

A short drive to St Austell and you will find large supermarkets - Tesco, Asda, Lidl and Co-op

There are many places to visit while you are in Cornwall including The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan & Charlestown all three are within a 15 minute drive of Mevagissey.
