About Richard Foster

We inherited this property from a relation but live most of the time in London and the South. In the family there is a well known painter, a renowned milliner, a banker and a mother of four.

We love the spaciousness of the house, set on its own, and surrounded by gardens and fields with the river below.

The surrounding area is very lovely, full of history and things to do and see. We enjoy connecting with our Scottish heritage.

It was a joy staying in the House of Glennie - glorious place, lovely surroundings, peace and quiet with no responsibilities for a longed for treat. The little touches were so appreciated, fresh flowers around the house and in the bedrooms. Fresh laid fires and a supply of wood, the well tended gardens and the welcoming and even caring Agnes and Ian. A beautiful home with lovely pictures, interesting books and family photographs. A memorable week indeed.

I have just had yet another lovely week at the House of Glennie and even managed to get my name in the game book! It was gorgeous seeing the house at a different time of year with the river looking stunning, surrounded by autumnal colours. Really rather cold at the end of the week but the house was always toasty.
