Gorgeous Egyptian Cotton bed linen and quality towels are provided together with scatter cushions and throws. Situated on the outskirts of Ventnor, Bonchurch is a beautiful village, nestling on the side of St Boniface down, leading down to the sea. The seafront has a safe shingle/sand beach with rock pools, ideal for children. From the shore you can take a level walk along the revetment towards Ventnor, passing Wheelers Bay and ending in the harbour where you can purchase the catch of the day. Closeby is a large wildlife pond, home to ducks, herons and carp, surrounded by trees and plants and floodlit at night, this is a magical place to sit and relax. For dining out within the village The Pond Café, and Bonchurch Inn offer excellent cuisine. The Victorian town of Ventnor benefits from a main shopping street, with a range of shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. The Esplanade has a crescent shaped sand and shingle beach and a small harbour, where fresh seafood can be purchased. There are several cafes and pubs; the popular ‘Spyglass Inn’ enjoys outstanding sea views and family entertainment. The stylish ‘Metropole’ tapas bar is a great place to relax and enjoy the superb views across the English Channel or stroll along the Cliff Path to the famous Ventnor Botanical Gardens and picturesque Steephill Cove whilst admiring the magnificent coastal scenery.

Dissapointing and put a cloud over our weeks stay

Limited parking outside of the house (1 car only have to park on street if you have another car), property was not cleaned to a high standard, dirty windows, slug trails on living room carpet, damp smell consistently throughout the downstairs, light fittings with no working bulbs,NO garden at all. The Pond Café next door constantly shut as business has been brought by new owners.Garage next door but 3 has a loud telephone ring that constantly rings out.

BlackGang Chine is a must for all the family with a fantastic variety of activities for all the family to spend a great day out. Themed areas like Frontierland where you can play Cowboys and Indians in a full sized Cowboy Town, and rides like Waterforce where you can choose the fast 'overflows', or the scary 'plug-hole' - you'll have to see it and experience it to believe it!

Coast/Beach:

Ventnor has a wonderful Mediterranean light and, like Sandown and Shanklin, an enviable sunshine record. Steephill Cove is its prettiest beach, a peaceful little bay with a good beach café. Reach it via the coastal footpath from the Botanic Gardens, or La Falaise car park in Ventnor.

Travel:

Car is advised. Property is located approximately 30 Mins from Fishbourne and East Cowes ferry terminals
