Sleeping 6 to 7 people, this 3 twin bedroom, two bathroom, detached villa is in the desirable, peaceful location of El Rancho at La Manga Club. It was completely modernised and refurbished to the highest standard in 2015.

The villa is ideal for both a family holiday or an adults only trip. Set in tranquil, landscaped gardens, with a large expanse of grass perfect for children to play safely on,this traditional style, 2 storey villa is air-conditioned throughout. The entrance area has a WC/cloakroom and leads to a spacious comfortable lounge/dining room with high ceiling and 2 contemporary paddle fans. The recently fitted wood burner provides additional heating and a cosy feel for any winter visitors. In keeping with the style of El Rancho (the stables), the wooden beams in the vaulted ceiling add character and retains a link with the past. Light coloured floor tiles and dark leather sofas provide a luxurious tone. The lounge has a TV with a great selection of TV channels, a DVD player and a few games (Scrabble, Bananagrams, cards etc). The property also has free WIFI. The dining area opens to stylish fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, hob and oven, extractor fan, lots of traditional terracotta earthenware, plenty of cutlery and crockery) with ample storage in high gloss walnut coloured and cream units, granite work surfaces, cream wall tiles.

Patio doors lead from the lounge to a large terrace with table and chairs for 6, an inbuilt BBQ and has great views over the Mar Menor and surrounding landscape. A large wooden dining table with chairs comfortably seats six and a retractable awning provides welcome shade above. There is an external staircase leading to a further roof terrace, which boasts stunning views of the nearby pool and gardens - the ideal place to catch the last rays of the sun in the evening. Both terraces have surrounding walls with inset wooden rails, thus providing good safety for children (If required, there is also the facility to use a child gate to restrict children reaching the upper terrace). Downstairs there are 3 generous bedrooms (one of which is en-suite with very large rainfall shower) each with 2 single beds and built in wardrobes, and in the third bedroom there is the option to have an additional bed to sleep the seventh person if required. There is also a large family bathroom, beautifully tiled. Each bathroom has a hairdryer. The light and airy master bedroom benefits from patio doors which open onto a small terrace and the villa's front garden. Set in beautiful landscaped gardens with bougainvillea, palm and citrus trees, the villa is a stone’s throw from the nearest swimming pool (pool 3 - guests at El Rancho have a choice of 9 pools). Bellaluz Plaza contains a few shops including a very well stocked supermarket, restaurants and bar and is a short walk away. All the resorts main facilities are within walking distance. As guests of the villa you can enjoy reduced rates (50%) for golf and tennis. Our management company are easily contactable and can arrange additional services such as taxi's, babysitting, supermarket shop for your arrival, provide high chairs etc.

La Manga Club and the Mar Menor offer many other activities such as bicycle hire, scuba diving on a marine reserve, kite surfing, water-skiing, wind surfing, boat hire, go-karting, hill walking; as well as superb beaches which are safe for children. Further afield are the cities of Murcia and Cartagena which both offer fantastic restaurants and shops as well as many places of historical interest.

About Gill Baxter

Hi, I've been visiting La Manga Club for 30 years, ever since my parents bought the villa. Time marches on and Dad sold the villa to my husband and I in 2014 - I couldn't bear to see it go and we both love the villa and all La Manga Club and the surrounding areas have to offer. We are fairly new to the rental business, so aim to be flexible and listen to what our guests want and comment on. Please get in touch if you want any general or specific information. Why Gill Baxter chose Cartagena

La Manga Club has so much to offer everyone: families with young children or teenagers, adults, sporty and active people or those who just want to enjoy the sun and a good book. We're a mixture of all those things so it's ideal for us. Off the resort you can find the 'real' Spain easily, from the village of Los Belones just a mile or so away to the fishing village of Cabo de Palos which is 3 miles away towards the Strip (a long sand spit with fantastic beaches). Cartagena and Murcia are of immense historical interest and offer everything large towns have. We love to travel to different places in the world but have always enjoyed holidays at El Rancho in our villa.

What makes this villa unique

Our villa is part of the El Rancho (ER) community and set in lovely, and recently re-landscaped gardens, giving a feeling of space and privacy. There are 9 community pools and so you can always joint in the fun or find a quiet area to relax or swim. The ER owners take pride in their community and this is evident in the care taken both inside and outside the properties. The roads are very quiet and have plenty of parking spaces. Although all the ER properties are similar in terms of style they vary in layout. Our villa is arranged over 2 floors and the bedrooms are all accessible from an internal staircase. We have 2 large terrace areas, the largest facing out towards to Mar Menor and the other overlooking the gardens. Both are quite private and provide ample opportunity for both shade and sun.

The family bathroom is a natural warm beige with autumnal coloured small mosaic decorative tiles. Shaving sockets and hairdryers are in each bathroom, along with heated towel rails. All three rooms have large mirrors.

  • Description of sleeping capacity: Sleeps 6 (3 Bedrooms) Notes on bedrooms: The 3 large bedrooms each have 2 single beds, plenty of built in wardrobe space, air-conditioning and remote controlled ceiling fans with lights. All are on the ground floor, a short staircase leads down from the entrance door. If you are 7 in your party we can provide an additional bed in the large 3rd bedroom for an extra charge. The recent refurbishment includes new curtains and bed throws/cushions and bed linen. Each room has a slightly different colour scheme. If you have a baby we have a travel cot available for your use. As part of the refurbishment we created a small utility room to house the washing machine and cleaning equipment. This room can be found off Bedroom 3, behind a proper bedroom door.

Notes on accommodation: As part of the refurbishment we have opened up the kitchen into the dining room, allowing a more open plan feel to the living/dining area. As the person who does most of the cooking in our family I appreciate not being shut in the kitchen away from everyone else! Outside: The landscaped gardens are a particular feature, offering a safe, beautiful area in which children can play, adults can shelter under the trees from the sun and offer privacy from the villas opposite. The gardens have recently been given extra attention with new planting, additional trees and shrubs. Because El Rancho has these lovely outside spaces the area seems quieter and less crowded than other areas of the Club. Our villa is near 3 of the 9 El Rancho pools and guests tend to use the pool adjacent to their villa meaning there is no over crowding. The villa has a built in BBQ on the large terrace. Patio furniture is provided and sun loungers with straw sun shades can be found near the pools. There is plenty of car parking space with bays at the front of the El Rancho villas. Utility Room: A small utility room can be found off the third bedroom on the ground floor. The washing machine is here along with the usual cleaning equipment. The space is useful for storage of suitcases and beach equipment, Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Air-conditioning, bathroom towels and beach towels, linen and an arrival and exit clean are included in the weekly price. If your booking is longer than 10 days a mid-stay laundry charge is included. Other: This Spring's refurbishment includes new tiles & lighting throughout, new kitchen, leather sofas, curtains, a fixed outside awning over the terrace table. In fact just about everything new that we can manage to do in the time available.

Great stay in a great place!

Nice, clean, big villa with 3 sleeping rooms, 2 bathrooms. Close to a few swimmingpools. Supermarket and restaurants nearby (5 min walk). It was great to have an early check in, very easy with a keylock.

Excellent Villa in the El Rancho Community. The Villa was very clean and had been refurbished to a high standard. The walk in shower was lovely. The kitchen was well equipped catering for all your needs. The was the best Villa we have rented to-date at the La Manga Club.

Very well appointed villa in great location

A lovely villa that is every bit as nice as described in the property details by the owner Gill. The front terrace has a great view towards the Mar Menor, the higher terrace at the back to the communal gardens and pools. The property is lovely, very well appointed and if you love to cook the kitchen is exceptionally well equipped. It is very well maintained and the local managing agents are very helpful. It is well located in La Manga resort and only 5 minutes walk to shops, a few bars and restaurants. The community pools and gardens are also well maintained and the pools were never busy in August when we stayed.

It's an 'upside down' house, with the bedrooms on the ground floor and the kitchen/lounge above. The bathrooms are recently refurbished and by far the best I have seen in a holiday villa, the rainfall shower in the ensuite is fabulous.

It's a lovely villa & highly recommended. The only negative was that the beds in the main bedroom were on the small size if you are tall, they are probably standard size but ours at home are american sized & much longer!

We had a lovely holiday and we would recommend the villa to other families.

Perfect location. Would highly recommend!

We spent two weeks at this villa in July 2017. Villa is very well situated, just a few steps away from three of the nine community pools. 5 min walk to bars and restaurants, and a 5 min drive to the beach.

The villa itself is lovely. Cannot fault it in any way. Brilliant air conditioning, spacious rooms, amazing bathrooms. The waterfall type shower in main bathroom was a particular favourite! All mod cons in the kitchen. Would highly recommend.

Lovely villa in excellent location!

Lovely location with great views out to the Mar Menor and La Manga strip. Two balconies, one really large which has a dining table and six chairs and a large barbecue ideal for entertaining. The second is smaller, but on the opposite side of the villa so you can catch the sun whichever way it is shining! Inside there is a large family entertaining space with sofas and a dining table which seats six. The kitchen is very modern and done to a high specification. If you like to cook, then you'll love this kitchen as it is equipped with every utensil and cooking pot and pan that you could ever need. The main bathroom is finished to a high specification and there is an additional separate toilet. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the master bedroom benefits from a large en-suite and walk-in shower. Shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance and yet the villa is high enough up the hill to benefit from a cooling breeze in the heat of the day. There are three large pools just outside the villa. We would definitely recommend this villa for a relaxing family holiday.

Superb villa

We have visited La Manga club 6 times in the last 10 years and this property was one of our favourites. It's in a quiet location with 3 pools just metres from the front door, yet it is walking distance to the main tennis centre - ideal for our two children. The villa is immaculate and very well equipped with wonderful bathrooms (including a huge walk-in shower) and kitchen. The owner and management company couldn't have been more helpful. We had another lovely holiday at La Manga club, thank you.

La Calle (the Cove)


There are 3 main beach areas nearby. One, over the hill behind the villa and down a winding track of a road to a scenic cove with restaurant. This is perhaps my favourite, not large but very pretty. Another is out of the resort along the La Manga Strip. Take your pick of long stretches of fine sand and warm water. The Mar de Crystal is a very large enclosed (by the La Manga sand spit) area of sea, ideal for children as it is shallow a good way out and very gentle. It is advisable to drive to the beaches.


Easyjet and Ryanair fly to the nearest airport, San Javier, Murcia - only an easy 40 minutes drive away. Various car hire companies service the airport. Alternatively a return taxi will cost about €90. Alicante airport is about an hours drive up the coast.


Los Belones, a typical Spanish village is just off the resort. There is a busy weekly market, restaurants and shops, including an excellent Bodega! Cabo de Palos, a fishing village about 3 miles off the resort has some great restaurants alongside the waterfront. Further on, up the strip you will find various plazas with shops and restaurants. Cartagena is a 30 minute drive away and offers modern shops alongside historical places of interest.

Further Details:

Bellaluz Plaza is only a short walk away. Stroll through the gardens to the supermarket in Bellaluz for your fresh bread for breakfast. Have a simple meal in the Bistro when you're too tired to cook, or pop along with the children for an afternoon ice cream treat. La Manga Club has a wonderful variety of restaurants and you don't have to drive to them. There's a bank, pharmacy, clothes shops etc. You can hire bikes, go on escorted rides. Scuba dive from Cabo de Palos. Climb Lion Mountain. Cartagena with it's historical interest, as well as brilliant shopping opportunities, is only half an hours drive away.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Saturday, but if we can be flexible we will. During non-peak periods long weekends/shorter breaks can be considered. If early or late check-in or check-out is requested we will try to accomodate, I would however ask for an extra £20. This would be used as part of an Christmas bonus to the Management Company for their flexibility.

Notes on prices:
Prices are based on a week's rent. If we agree on a different number of days for your rental we will work it out on a pro-rata basis.
