A beautiful two bedroom apartment in a traditional chalet style building constructed by MGM to their usual high standard. A lift takes you from the main entrance, the secure ski locker room and your reserved space in the underground parking area directly to the apartment door on the first floor. The apartment is in a fantastic central location being just a two minute stroll into the heart of the stunning Savoyard village of Samoëns with all its shops, cafes and restaurants. Just as handy is the free ski bus service that stops immediately outside Villa Monette with just a one minute ride to the telecabine to whisk you up to the large beginner's area and access to the 265km's of the grand Massif. Our home from home has a south facing balcony with 180' view of the Giffre valley and surrounding mountains. The apartment has full Wi-Fi, Uk and French satellite TV with DVD, a CD player with iPod docking as well as a selection of CD's, DVD's and books. WiFi available throughout. There is a double bedroom with a full en-suite bathroom and WC, another with a pair of single beds and a separate shower room with WC. The main room has dining and sitting areas with a well appointed kitchen.

There is stunning alpine scenery with fantastic skiing. It is excellent for walking and water rafting the rest of the year and there is great variety of wild life.

It is in a wonderful central location, two minutes walk to the heart of the village of Samoens which has more than its fair share of boutique shops, restaurants, cafes and bars.The ski bus stops outside the Villa and takes you straight to the telecabine for access to the nursery slopes and Grand Massif

I would like to say that your apartment was lovely and in a perfect location for access to the slopes. The nursery area was fantastic for us to get Callum on skis and we are planning to go back next year, for us to ski and we will put Callum in Ski lessons.

Many thanks for letting us use your apartment. We found it warm and comfortable and convenient for the town. The sunny balcony and the view were much appreciated by Liz who does not ski but does walks around the village. The Sherpa supermarket supplied all our needs and they are quite friendly.

We have just returned home having spent a fantastic week in your lovely apartment. Over the years both Christine and myself have skied a lot and visited many resorts and stayed in many different apartments, and of these yours is one of the nicest that we have been fortunate enough to use. We cannot fault it as the location is great, it is extremely well appointed and, on this occasion, we had the benefit of a full week of sunshine and good snow - it does not get much better than this! Samoen is a lovely village and we particularly like its traditional French feel.

Outside: Balcony with table and chairs, with view of the Giffre mountain range. Small grass garden on bottom floor. Utility Room: Iron, hoover, brushes etc... Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: End of stay cleaning is included. All towels and linen are provided. Guests are welcomed on arrival by a member of the local management company. They will be able to give you the keys and any essential information you may need. Other: Entrance hall with built-in wardrobe.

Perfect apartment in perfect location

We stayed for 5 nights, skiing each day, and had a most marvellous time in Samoens. The skiing area of The Grand Massif was impressive considering the temp in Samoens was 19 degrees when we arrived on the Sunday afternoon! Snow conditions were better than we could have ever imagined.

The apartment location was ideal, supermarket below it, Coveys bar next door and only a 3-4 minute walk into town centre.

Everything you needed was in the apartment, and all of good quality, unlike a lot of French properties.

All in all a great find, thanks Mary!

Well equipped appartment with excellent location.

Absolutely spotless and with a well equipped kitchen. Size was good for 4, not sure it would really work for 6 as the kitchen/dining/living area is quite snug. We were very disappointed that the property details listed a washing machine and tumble drier as we had packed accordingly assuming we could wash and re-use some ski gear. Rang the agent to find out where it was and were told there wasn’t one, contact the owners. Emailed the owners but didn’t get a response. It wouldn’t have been a problem if we had known but cross about the misleading info and lack of response. I note the details still list the machines but it is not true.

Located one hour from Geneva airport. Taxi transfers can be reserved as can seats on a winter coach service from the airport to Samoëns. All the Major car hire firms operate at Geneva and bookings can be made at both the Swiss and French exits.

Travelling by car, Samoëns is 8/9 hours from Calais, all motorway apart from the last 20 minutes.


Located one hour from Geneva.

Further Details:

Local shop (Sherpa) and Irish bar one minute walking distance. Village shops, bars and restaurants include tourist office under 5 minute walk.
