Beautifully presented house, sleeping 10, private pool and gardens. Situated in a gently elevated position overlooking an undulating patchwork of hills and fields, Codagnel is an impressive stone farmhouse that has been renovated to a high standard. The combination of dark wood shutters against pale local stonework, topped with a tiled roof in shades of terracotta, creates a pretty picture enhanced by open grounds and beautiful sweeping views. A successful mix of traditional features and modern amenities ensures the interior will appeal to all and spacious rooms mean a light and airy atmosphere prevails. On the terrace there is an outside eating area and BBQ, the private pool has Roman steps which provide easy and safe access. The pool is fitted with an electronically operated cover for child safety.

About the Owner

Andy & Diane are the co-owners of Codagnel, along with Andy's sister Sally & brother-in-law Ben. We have owned Codagnel since 2005. Over the first two years owning the property we embarked on an extensive program of refurbishment resulting in a beautifully presented farmhouse. Although we are based in the UK we spend as much time as we can enjoying the restful and peaceful lifestyle the house and area have to offer. We have been successfully making it available as a holiday destination for others since 2007, with several parties returning year after year.

Immaculate property in stunning location.

The description of Codagnel is mouthwatering and accurate. We enjoyed an unforgettable two weeks of sunshine in the lovely Tarn Valley. I cannot remember relaxing so comprehensively for many many years. Customer service was prompt & helpful and we would definitely recommend this property to friends & relatives. Codagnel is fully equipped, clean & well maintained. We had a few trips out & would certainly suggest visits to Albi, the Gaillac vineyards and the local bastide towns. In summary, the combination of a lovely house, refreshing pool, attractive grounds & the simply stunning countryside setting, represents all that we would ever want from a holiday in this wonderful part of France.

A wonderful location!

The house is perfectly situated for breathtaking views and wonderful evening bbq's. It is very well equipped for children, with the pool being the main attraction, ours (ages 4-6yrs) were in and out most of the day. We had some great day trips too, to the lovely village of Puycelci and also to Albi. In addition the surrounding vineyards offer a selection of fantastic local wines. We had such a great stay the week went by far too quickly! Thank you.

We already had family living in this area of France and having spent many happy family holidays here we fell in love with the area. We were overjoyed when the opportunity arose for us to purchase and renovate this delightful old farmhouse.

  • Notes on accommodation: At the end of the entrance hall, double doors open on to a large room which spans the width of the house. Here you will find the kitchen combined with a living and dining area; a welcoming and well equipped space, it is the heart of the house, with four sets of large double glass doors leading out to the grounds and poolside terrace. A smaller room at the front of the house has been set aside for quiet relaxation or for watching TV. There are three bedrooms on the first floor, two on the ground floor with level access to bathroom. Upstairs a large well equipped games room, including table tennis, table football, a small snooker table and darts, which will no doubt appeal to children and teenagers.
