Gorgeous 3 bed townhouse in Pueblo Diana, Mojacar Playa, Almeria Andalucia, Spain - Set in a small gated community just over the road from the beach and restaurants. Sleeps 6 - 3 bed

A very well presented townhouse set in a secure, small gated community. With sea views from the upstairs bedroom, the property is just over the road from a long sandy beach. Restaurants and supermarket are in easy walking distance with restaurants right next to the complex. There are two upstairs bedrooms with a shared bathroom and one downstairs bedroom with another bathroom. A fully equipped kitchen and good sized lounge and eating area. Air-conditioning is available, there are three terraces and the downstairs terrace looks out onto the gorgeous tropical gardens and swimming pool. Mojacar Playa has an abundance of restaurants and cafes to suit everyone's taste. There are some larger supermarkets a short drive away and a regular bus service that runs from outside Pueblo Diana which can take you to picturesque Mojacar Old Town or to the Commercial Centre.

The beach is over the road! It is that close, a long sandy beach where you can body surf and snorkel. If it's a little rough then either end of the long beach are coves where the children can swim in calmer waters. There are beach bars (chiringuittos) scattered along the coastline and also places where you can hire pedalos, boats, fun rides etc. Everything is within walking distance - although in the height of the summer months you might not want to go too far!


Almeria airport is 1 hour away.

Murcia airport is 1 hour and 45 minutes away.

Alicante airport is 2 hours away.

Car hire is recommended and cheap, there are private transfers available but these can be expensive. Please note that you do not need to hire a car but if you wish to explore further you may wish to hire one. There is a bus stop right outside the complex which can get you to most places. Parking right outside the complex or a large free car park over the road.


Mojacar village is a very pretty hilltop Moorish village, easily reached by local bus. Local street market every Wednesday. Bus stops at bottom of road by our house.

Garrucha, a typical Spanish fishing port with loads of seafood restaurants and tapas bars, market every Friday, use local bus from bottom of road.

Water park at Vera, local bus from bottom of road or 15 mins in car.

Mini-Hollywood is 40 mins drive away.

Further Details:

There are an abundance of restaurants along the Playa from Tapas, Italian to English or Indian covering all tastes and prices, we supply an information pack where we have listed some of our favourite places to eat and why. Banks are about 20 minutes walk away, Chemist about 10 mins walk and the Clinic, please don't forget to get an EHIC online for free in-case you need medical attention. There is an internet cafe about 5 minutes walk away and many of the bars offer free WiFi access.

There are some lovely villages and beaches around but you will need a car to reach these including the famous Playa de los Muertos.

There are water-sport activities running throughout the whole of the summer, mountain biking, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, pedalos, scuba diving, hiking. Out of season the resort does quieten down with restaurants, shops and the water-sports activities closing down. There is still a selection of restaurants and super-markets that stay open all year long. The complex also quietens down and is ideal for total relaxation with pleasant temperatures.

All towels are included in the cost of your holiday, your deposit will be retained until your departure to cover the costs of any damages or missing items. There maybe a small charge for a high chair if we have to hire one for you the travel cot is included in the price - please let us know when you book if you need a cot or a high-chair as they are not kept at the house. You are more than welcome to let the children use the toys in the house and the pool toys, all we ask is if you do pop a pool toy we would be very grateful if it could be replaced as we use them ourselves when we are on holiday.

Notes on accommodation: The house is bright and modern and has been fully equipped to a high standard. We can provide a travel cot and a high chair if you can let us know in advance. In the bunk bed room there is a selection of toys for children to play with and also pool toys. There will be an information pack waiting for you at the house with information on where to eat, places to visit, market days and useful numbers. Stuart and Natasha will welcome you to the house, handover keys and show you around the house on your arrival. They are available if you should have any problems and will give you their phone number if you should need them during your visit. Outside: The house has 3 terraces. The main downstairs terrace has a large table with 6 chairs and an umbrella. There are also 2 sun loungers which you can take down by the pool. The gardens are lush and well maintained, the complex is like a mini-oasis. The house is perfectly situated next to the shallow end and the terrace has a gate you can lock to keep children safe. It is a shared swimming pool which is not heated but is normally a lovely temperature due to the amazing climate Almeria has and the pool is also regularly maintained. The upstairs terrace at the front has sea-views and the main rear terrace is ideal for drying your clothes. You can only access the complex through a locked gate , you will be met on arrival to the complex and given a key we recommend that you try and keep this with you at all times. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bath and hand towels are included as well as one beach towel per person. Beds will be made up and if you require a mid-stay change there will be an additional charge. Tea-towels, washing up liquid and some cleaning products will be included. Other: Upstairs there is a bookcase with a few games and a good selection of books, we just ask if you borrow one to return it or replace it with one you have finished. All rooms have decorative bars on the windows and mesh screens. There are portable radiators.

Tranquil oasis

Pueblo Diana complex is a hidden gem. From the playa prom just across the road, you would have no idea such a beautiful, tropical oasis was hidden. Palm trees, and huge cacti Surround the pool and bougainvillea tumbles over the villas, each surrounded by a small wall giving privacy. Number 33 is superbly placed close to the shallow end of the good sized pool, ideal for a dip for both adults and children. The villa itself is very well equipped, and had everything we needed. It felt like a welcoming home from home. Lucy the owner and her team are friendly and efficient and helped to make this holiday just easy from start to finish. Thank you we will be back.

The perfect spot

Superb location for a quiet and relaxing holiday with a shared pool just off the terrace. Well proportioned house with 2 bedrooms and bathroom upstairs and one bedroom downstairs with another full bathroom. Ideally situated to explore Mojacar's wonderful extended paseo and within walking distance of numerous good quality restaurants/bars and cafes. No need for a car unless you want to explore further afield.

A peaceful retreat set in a little oasis

This apartment is very centrally located just across the road from the beach and tucked away in beautifully kept gardens . We found it fully equipped with everything we could possibly need . Although it was out of season there were still plenty of resturaunts to choose from .

We were very warmly met when we arrived and nothing was too much trouble , the property could not have been managed by a nicer couple .

This property is a little gem .

Lovely house & complex

This is the second time we have stayed in this property and as before we really enjoyed our stay. Lucy is always very helpful as is Stuart & Natasha.

There really is nothing not to like in the house, everything is provided. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is that the water tank for us could have been bigger as my poor husband always had the last & coolest shower, but I can see in the summer this wouldn't be such a problem.

The complex itself is lovely & looked even better maintained this year than previously!

The biggest bonus was the weather it was glorious so all in all a lovely week and we would certainly return.

An excellent choice for a family

We (2 adults in late 30s/early 40s + 2 kids aged 2 + 4) stayed in this property for 2 weeks in June 2016. My sister stayed in the adjacent property (No.34 - different owners and rented out through an agency) for the second week and last August (2015) we stayed in the (smaller but inexplicably more expensive) No 31. No 32 is vacant. Of the three villas, this one (No 33) is the best and we would definitely stay here again. Don't come expecting 5 star brand new fittings, chrome kitchen ware and the like - it's more 'homely' and down to earth but has some lovely traditional features like wooden shutters (which double up as excellent blackout blinds for kids!). Other nice touches include expensive cutlery and decent wine glasses. The kitchen is pretty well equipped and suitable for self-catering (we did a lot of this). The terrace outside is spacious. Although all the houses and flats in the Pueblo Diana complex are right by the shared pool, this house is particularly well situated, right by the shallow end. The main bedroom upstairs has a balcony that overlooks the swimming pool; to the left you can see the sea, to the right mountains. Or, you can lie in bed with the shutters open, the mosquito blind drawn across, with moonlight coming through, listening to the sea lapping on the shore. Wonderful. At the time of writing, the main reception room and the upstairs bedroom with bunk beds are the only rooms with air con. The main bedroom upstairs and the downstairs bedroom have wooden shutters; the bunk bed room does not.

In terms of the complex itself and its location, it is perfect for a family: shared pool and sea on your doorstep. It's the quiet end of town (partygoers try somewhere up the other end) and the beach is never remotely crowded even in August. The pool does get busy but the atmosphere is great. With different people arriving all the time it can go from 'Brits abroad' to a great mix of French, Spanish and English in the space of a day. Families (with children of all ages) in school hols; more of a mix between couples, families and older folk in June. All exceptionally friendly and respectful of the rules (while still having lots of fun!) In high season the supermarkets are open every day; in June they shut on Sundays (go to the one in Turre). Mercadona is a good all rounder (excellent fish counter) with some posh stuff but Consum is much better for wine (avoid the underground carpark); Dia is cheap but still good for most things.

Booking Notes:
The balance of your rental cost is to be made 8 weeks before you depart. If you are a last minute booking we will require immediate payment. There is also a breakage deposit of £200 to paid with your final balance this will be returned by us no more than 5-7 days after your departure once the house has been checked. We will always issue you with a receipt for your deposit and also final payment. Arrival time is after 2pm and departure by 10am, we will try and be flexible where possible with timings depending on availability either side of your stay. There is strictly a no-group policy of any female or male groups - this is a family complex.

Changeover Day:
Saturday is the preferred change over day in peak times out of season we can be flexible depending on other bookings. We will also take long term lets in the off-peak season.

Notes on prices:
During long winter lets which are a minimum of 30 days, to keep the costs down we will ask that you pay the electricity bills. Depending on your usage these should not be very high. The cost for a month during November to middle of March is £700pm.
Christmas Rates are £350 per week please enquire as the dates differ each year.

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
