La Grimaudiere is a Breton Longere renovated to a high standard and well equipped with modern comforts and plenty of space for families to enjoy a peaceful holiday. The house is south facing and has an evening terrace to enjoy the last of the sun. The house has no close neighbours, so is very private and secluded. There is a village shop and bar within walking distance. The Northern coast with all it sandy beaches and restaurants is between 35 and 60 minutes away.

Peaceful haven in the countryside

We have spent two very relaxing half term holidays in this lovely house. It is cosy and beautifully decorated with a lovely outdoor space . We ventured out to a number of different beaches and enjoyed the restaurants in Dinan. Highly recommended.

We bought our house as it had good access to many great beaches, the medieval towns of Dinan and Josselin and the Ile de Brehat. The south Brittany coast is less than two hours away. Great seafood and crepes are available in the Brittany restaurants. It is very spacious and tranquil spot with huge skies and a great place to relax and see the stars without any light pollution.

Car: necessary


The house is situated 35 minutes from the coast and is in reach of many famous Breton beaches within 40 to 60 minutes. Pleneuf val Andre, St Pabu, Sables d'Or, St Jacut, St Cast le Guildo, Cap Frehel, Dinard or St Briac sur Mer.


The house is less that one hour from San Malo and two and half hours from Caen. Airports nearby are Rennes and Dinard.


The Cote d'armor is 35 mins north of the house. It is near the Medieval town of Dinan and is within easy reach of the Granite Rose coast and the lovely Ile de Brehet. The South coast of Brittany is less than two hours away. Lamballe is the nearest big town, about 20 minutes away.

Further Details:

There are plenty of supermarkets within easy reach of the house with the closest in Collinee and many more in Lamballe. There is a shop in the village with a bar which has daily bread deliveries.

Booking are Saturday to Saturday with some flexibility for shorter stays and long weekends in the off season. A non-refundable deposit of £200 is taken to cover breakages. A 25% deposit it required to secure a booking with the balance due 6 weeks before commencement of rental

Changeover Day:
change over day is Saturday but where possible other dates will be accommodated

Notes on prices:
Please note cleaning and washing of bed linen is not included and will be extra

From the Owner

We bought our house because it had been tastefully and thoughtfully renovated. The showers are powerful and refreshing. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. We have comfy sofas for relaxing, reading or watching telly. There is plenty of space in the garden to find a quiet place to enjoy the sunshine, while others play table tennis in the games room.
