By far the best villa holiday we`ve had!

I`m torn apart as to where to start, so will go from the start:

-Booking process is very clear and easy, and communication with Tom is second to none (as we`ve never stayed in this area before we ended up bombarding Tom with 7 million questions about the villa and the area etc, to all of which we had patient and full responces)

- We drove down all the way from the UK, and one of the initial worries were uncertain arrival time, which shouldn`t have been, as Tom is very flexible with it.

- Villa.. Well, let`s face it-it`s not often your holiday location turns out to be better than you expect it to be from the pictures, and this is definetly the case. Pictures doesn`t really show all the space outside and the quality of the bedrooms. Everything you can think of is provided, including towels and all the cleaning stuff.

- Finally, if you are looking for a quet, tranquil location with reasonable commute to the beaches, shops etc, you don`t need to look any further.

Thank you Tom for fantastic time we had, and we`ll definetly be looking to come back!

Relaxing modern villa

We are a family of 5, 3 teenage boys we have stayed in many villas but this one was by far our favourite. Tom was a pleasure to deal with and made our booking easy and kept us updated. The villa is very modern spacious and well equipt, the pool is kept very clean. If you want a quiet relaxing holiday this is a lovely arrea . Thank you Tom hope to book again in the near future.

Amazing accommodation We highly recommend it.

This very well equipped villa was the perfect getaway, set in a beautiful location, with beautiful mountain views and gorgeous sunsets and only about 15 minute drive to the beach. The villa was very clean and beautifully decorated it was also very well equipped with everything we needed, there were lots of lovely places to visit, Guadamar has a lovely beach with plenty of cafe's and restaurants (well worth a visit), Benijofar also has some lovely restaurants and Catral itself has many tapas bars which we really enjoyed, I can recommend a visit to Guadalest with its beautiful views, shops and restaurants. We have had a lot of villa holidays but I can definitely say this was the nicest villa we've stayed in, I can Highly recommend it and the owners were really friendly and helpful.

Stunning well equipped villa

A very well equipped villa with everything you could possibly need provided by the owners. The accommodation was extremely spacious, well maintained and very clean throughout. The layout is superb with various eating areas to ensure best possible views and shade too. Pool was fantastic and provided much fun for the family. The villa is situated a short drive away from the main roads in the region so you can easily explore the towns of Elche, Almoradi or even Cartagena as well as being a short distance from the fantastic beaches of Guardemar. We have stayed in the region at various other villas but have to say this was the best one yet. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

I have been coming to Spain for more years than I care to remember and it was always my intention to retire to live here. This villa is perfect because it is set in the countryside but has easy access to towns and cities. I love this area because it offers so much, Beautiful Beaches, Golf, Walking, Cycling, Mountains. The weather of course.

Activity and Interests

Car: recommended


The blue flag beaches of Guardamar and La Marina are approx 20 mins drive away. La Marina is set among pine forests and sand dunes and both beaches have bars and restaurants nearby. Slightly further afield, approx 30 mins, are the beaches of La Zenia and Cabo Roig and the superb beach of The Mar Menor is approx 45 mins away. The Mar Menor is particularly recommended for families with younger children as the water is shallow and warm.


Alicante / Murcia airports are approx. 30-40 mins. from villa. Car hire is advisable. Airport pick-ups/drop-offs can be arranged (max 4 persons) if this option is taken for an additional cost of 40euro each way, to be paid locally. Directions to the villa can be provided.


Catral town centre is approx 2kms and is a typical Spanish town with shops, bars, restaurants and banks. The town square has a beautiful typical Spanish church. Approx 3kms away is the slightly larger town of Almoradi with it´s larger beautiful square and a superb market every Saturday which sells everything from fruit and veg to clothes and presents to take back! Quesada is approx 5kms away and has many international eateries, shops and a water park.

Further Details:

Catral is ideally situated to give you the best of both worlds. The villa is set in beautiful countryside but is still within driving distance to some of the best hot spots such as Benidorm, Alicante, Elche. There is a train station at San Isidro which is only 2km away and at a cost you can get the train to the cities of Murcia, Alicante, Elche etc. If museums, galleries, botanic gardens and classy department stores are your thing, then Elche is the place for a visit.
