Delightful Quiet House And Terrace Garden, With Sea Views

Overview

Property

Updated: 29-Nov-2016
House in Falmouth, Cornwall, Peaceful Location, 5 Minutes Walk From Falmouth's Charming Old High Street

Occupying an elevated yet private position with outstanding views across Falmouth Harbour, Seabien is perfect for watching boats, yachts and cruise ships crossing the port. Elegantly refurbished, light, spacious, and complemented by original artworks; there is ample accommodation for four guests. Large skylights flood the property with sunlight and even on dull days the house is wonderfully light. The high barrelled ceiling in the large sittingroom dining room add to the spacious effect.

Whilst quiet and secluded, Seabien is also conveniently placed for the vibrant town centre with its numerous restaurants, bars, old inns, galleries and shops and Events Square - home to The National Maritime Museum and Rick Stein's Seafood Bar. Beach lovers will adore Falmouth's four beautiful beaches, three with seasonal lifeguard patrol and two with excellent water sports facilities. Nearby gardens at Trebah, Glendurgan and Trelissick are lush and verdant with exotic plants. Keen walkers are spoilt for choice with spectacular coastal paths and glorious countryside. Pleasure boat trips depart daily from the town quay taking in the hidden creeks of the Carrick Roads or across to the pretty village of St Mawes on the Roseland Peninsula; a delightful spot to enjoy a drink or meal in one of the waterfront hotels.

Please note it is Friday to Friday booking.

This the BEST place we have stayed in since coming to Falmouth for the past 10 YEARS!! A beautiful place, we will return.

Laurie, Dick, Alice and Simon

Really enjoyed our stay and already regret that we didn’t stay for longer. Good location and lovely views over the harbour and the house is just as good! We'll definitely be back.

Vincent and Kim

Thank you for a wonderful stay – a very welcoming and well equipped holiday home; so near to town to wander down for an evening meal and to take boats out from the pier.

We have had an amazing week in Seabien and Cornwall. Seabien has been perfect in everyway – so stylish and brilliantly equipped even down to the vital cafetiere!

A beautifully decorated property close to all local amenities. A delightful place to stay.

We have enjoyed our two weeks stay very much. Your house is beautifully furnished and decorated. We loved to sit outside on the terrrace. We would really love to come again.

Mr & Mrs Neu

Well where do I begin?! The decor is very tasteful, beautifully furnished, very light and airy. The bed is so comfortable, bedroom very spacious and the en-suite fabulous. We have all really enjoyed our week here, local restaurents and bars served excellant food, went to a great jazz night at the Star & Garter. I would definitely recommend Seabien and would be happy to return. Even the vases of fresh flowers made the cottage appealing!

A lovely comfortable house which we quickly came to love and feel at home in. Very well appointed with some very nice touches. Wish we had booked for another week!

Brian and Pam

'We had the great pleasure to stay in this beautiful house. We sat on the terrace, enjoyed the view and grew so fond of the place that we are very sad to leave it.'

Lovely house, great location, superbly equipped.

  • 5 of 5

Lovely house, spotlessly clean, well equipped, great size for a family and day guests.

Very spacious, plenty of seating both for relaxing and meal times. The kitchen was very well equipped for self catering, with all that we needed.

The bedrooms were clean, bright and comfortable, having an ensuite was great with four adults.

Great location, easy to walk into Falmouth town centre and also located well for sight seeing, getting to the beach and coastal walks.

Overall a lovely place to stay.

A delightful holiday home

We have been lucky to have stayed in some lovely holiday homes in Cornwall, Seabien was one of the very best. Spotless, beautifully equipped - we didn't want to leave.

Seabien - the best!

  • 5 of 5

Simply the best accommodation we've had in over 20 years of visiting Cornwall! A very well-furnished, clean and comfortable place, with a brilliant sea view. A quiet position with off-road parking, and ideally placed for walking into town. The "little extras" (eg flowers, biscuits...) provided on arrival made us feel very welcome, as did the warm welcome from the owner. Eating in was made easy by the comprehensively-equipped kitchen, but there are also many excellent restaurants within reach. We'll be back!

Fab place to stay

  • 5 of 5

Spent several months here whilst working in the area.

It was truly a home from home, with everything that you could need!

The house is modern, stylish and most importantly spotlessly clean.

Vanessa and Simon are wonderful hosts - couldn't do enough for us.

Hope to return later on this year whilst working there again.

Fantastic Family Holiday

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Seabien for the Easter break and it was the perfect base for us. It's a lovely cottage, much bigger than it looks in the photos, and a great location for exploring Falmouth and the surrounding areas. Vanessa is a fabulous host and had left some little treats to welcome us to the property. It was very reasonably priced for the time of year, and for the standard of accommodation. We would highly recommend both Seabien, and Falmouth, to any young family looking for a perfect UK break.

Owner's Response: Dear Sara We are delighted you enjoyed your stay. From river boat trips to St Mawes, Easter egg hunts at the glorious Trebah gardens to meeting Vikings at the Maritime Museum, it sounds like you got a good taste for our lovely town! Not for nothing was it voted one of the top places to live in the UK by the Sunday Times! All the best and do come and stay again Vanessa and Simon
