Villa Dos Pinos in Cala D'Or, South East Mallorca, Balearic Islands - Quiet Location, 15 Minutes Walk To The Centre

Dos Pinos is a large villa that enjoys a great location in a quiet street only 400m. away to the pretty sandy cove Cala Esmeralda and 550m. away to sandy cove Cala Gran. Dos Pinos is a large holiday home, perfect for a big group of friends or a large family. The house has two living rooms. From the main door we enter directly to a bright living room, and from here there is access to a second living/dining room with a side door that opens to the outside. The well fitted kitchen is adjacent to the dining/living room and has a side door to the pool area. The ground floor also offers three bedrooms. Two twin bedrooms and a double bedroom that share two separate bathrooms. From then entrance a stair leads to the upper floor where we find two more bedrooms; a double and a twin bedroom -each with its own en suite bathroom-. Air conditioning in the bedrooms with a fixed and limited timetable. At the front of the house there is a well kept Mediterranean garden. The pool and terrace are at the back. There is a spacious sun terrace with sun beds by the pool (pool size 6.5m. x 3m. Depth min. 1.10m. 1.90m. max. 2.10m.) and a small lawned area with two tall pine trees that provide a nice shade for the hottest summery days. Wooden pergola overlooking the pool with a large table and chairs to enjoy delicious “al fresco” meals cooked at the brick built barbecue. Table tennis available for fun of all the family. The utility room is close to the pergola.

Villa Los Dos Pinos, Cala D'or

We are a party of 9 which was more than adequately catered for in this villa. Good location near lovely beaches, 2 Spars nearby for shopping although a taxi ride to the Eroski gives more choice and value. Plenty of good restaurants within a 10 minute walk (some of it up hill though), and lots of shops if you cannot go more than a week without some shopping therapy.

Villa itself was large and comfortable - 5 bedrooms, 2 of which double and 3 twin. One double and one twin on the 1st floor both with ensuite. Two bathrooms on the ground floor. Kids loved the pool and garden, although little ones could get to the front gates but not through them. We just put a couple of loungers across the drive which was sufficient. Nice large TV with DVD player, WiFi and books available.

The only thing I would say is the décor is a bit dated but of good quality. Cleaning and towel/bedding refresh was excellent.

Coast/Beach:

The little sandy beach Cala Esmeralda is just 500 meters away. There are plenty of other beaches around Cala Dor and easy to reach by walk (Cala D'Or, Cala Gran, the lovely Cala Sanau. The fantastic and large beach of Es Trenc with it’s caribbean flair is no more than 30 min. drive.

Travel:

The Palma airport is Son Sant Juan and about 60 km away. It is also possible to hire a car at the airport or in Cala D´Or. The use of car is recommended to do the shopping but not necessary. In the summertime there is a little train between Cala Egos- Cala D´Or

Further Details:

In and near to Cala Dor you find a great offer of restaurants, shops, banks, pubs and nightclubs as well as sporting activities like tennis centre, bowling, bicycling, horse riding, diving and all other activities connected with the sea.
