About the property

Very central four bedrooms apartment in Granada - Easy access and private parking.

The property is located at the lower South-East end of Granada's main shopping street, "Calle Recogidas", ideally placed for a very easy exploration of the town. A gentle stroll up Calle Recogidas and you reach the Gothic part of the town in just 10 minutes, with the cathedral and surrounding areas. Continuing North-West for 10 more minutes you reach Plaza Nueva, the gate to the Arab part of the town, with its famous Alhambra and Albaizin quarters.

The apartment is right at the heart of the commercial part of the town, where most of its famous "Tapas Bar" are concentrated, yet the apartment itself is very quite. Indeed, most bedrooms have windows to quite streets, while the living area open to ample streets and squares, so that it is full of light.

Additionally, the building is wheel chair accessible.

Granada may be cold in winter and hot in summer, but certainly not in this apartment. Central heating and full house Air Conditioning assures that you have the right temperature all year around.

If you come to Granada by car, the apartment has an easy connection with the main motorway. Additionally, you can park the car right at the property, since the parking garage and the apartment are in the same building. So, get out of the car and take the elevator home, that simple. In a town full of history like Granada (but with small streets and sometimes complicated access), easy access and parking may be quite convenient. If your prefer to take a bus, there are plenty of bus stops in a radius of less than 50 meters

About Jose Maria

We are a Spanish couple in our fifties, living in Madrid. We know the Granada area very well, since we were born the two of us in that beautiful town.

We enjoy going back to Granada from time to time, but we seldom manage to do so more than a couple of times during the year, and never for too long.

We wanted to have a house in town, very central, close to everything and yet quite..... and this is the house you are renting. A true family house carefully selected to provide a very pleasant stay in town.

Why Jose Maria chose Figares

We are, my wife and me, from Granada. We were born there and, obviously, we know very well the town.

We wanted to have an apartment very close to the center but modern, quite but near to all attractions, with a parking spot and easy access when you arrive in town.... and this is the place you are now renting: The house we chose as a perfect combination for a stay in Granada.

What makes this apartment unique

The property is at the corner of the main shopping street of Granada, "Recogidas", less than a hundred meter to some of the best tapas quarters in town, with very easy access by car, with its own parking area, and very close to the main touristic spots of Granada.

Of course, since we know very well the area, we can advice you some of the best places to go, perhaps not in tourist guides.

On a 10 day tour of Spain this was our best apartment.

The apartment was a great location on a main street in Granada with easy bus and taxi connections. The bedrooms are down a hall way at the back of the apartment and super quiet. mattresses were excellent. Check in went smoothly and the only hitch we had was they failed to show us the buzzer to open the front door of the building. It was a 7.00Euro ride to the Alhambra and we took the C3 bus back down. The kitchen was well equipped and there were all

the condiments you could want and even chocolate for hot chocolate.There is a fairly large grocery store a block and a half away If I am ever back in Granada this will be my first choice.

wonderful apartment

We had a great stay for a family vacation in Granada! The apartment is as described - large and comfortable! It was spotless and very convenient to restaurants and bars, and a short walk to the bus stop to take us up to the Alhambra. The elevator was particularly useful for our 91 year old father.

I would highly recommend this apartment - but the owner is correct about not talking too large of a car into the parking garage. We had to wait for someone to leave for work the last morning so that we could get out! The owner was very helpful and again, stay here if you can as it was great!

On the parking, indeed we indicate in its description that it is for a regular family car, it is not for a van (Mercedes Vito or the like). It is difficult to park in Granada, and all the center is heaviliy regulated in terms of how long you can park in the street and the price for it; this is the reason why we offer the parking as an asset. Still, it has limitations in that it is for a typical family car, not more. In case of needs, there is a covered parking garage very close to the apartment.

Great place to stay in the heart of the city.

Parking is included, but make sure you have small rental car. The elevator was out of service part of one day, but our host took care of it very quickly. Lovely apartment... Highly recommend.

As you have noticed, the whole lobby/entrance to the house is now being converted to be fully wheel chair accesible, besides being newly re.decorated. Something happened to the elevator Saturday night, indeed, but you saw how well maintained is the apartment block that it was running again at 11:02 on Sunday!

Love the apartment, totally exceed expectation.

It's very large apartment, very well decorated, and stuffed with more amenities than one could expect. Feels like someone is sharing their own home with you, and feels like you coming to your own home, since the home is stuffed with supplies, appliances working, and is very comfortable.

The location is ideal. It is only a short walk to the main town center, yet, you are in the middle of where normal town people live, not at all a touristic part of town.

The host is very reachable, and very responsive. Thank you for sharing and managing such a wonderful home.

Loved the easy accessibility to the center of Granada downtown area! The apartment was just right for 6 people! Comfortable, clean, spacious and definitely safe -- we would definitely recommend this place! Jose Marie/Álvaro were all very accommodating -- and got back to us immediately ! The apartment came complete with everything -- from dish soap to shampoo to toilet paper--- they provided everything ! A+++

Very nice, spacious Granada apartment

We were initially attracted to this property due to the parking availability. Prior to our stay Jose Maria sent a very detailed arrival procedure and area information. On arrival we were met by Jose Maria's nephew Alvaro and he showed us the parking space and oriented us to the apartment. The apartment is on the 3rd floor of the building (elevator available) and was very clean and spacious. The living room overlooks a busy street, however the bedrooms are located at the back of the apartment where it is very quiet. The location is very good, easy 20 minute walk to the cathedral/city center. On the day we visited the Alhambra we elected to take a taxi, since the walk would have been a very strenuous up hill climb! During our stay we took advantage of the laundry facilities and prepared a number of meals when we did not want to eat out. Thank you Jose Maria for providing us a fantastic place to stay while we toured Granada!

A visit to a rich cultural town like Granada has many facets attached to it. Certainly you already know about Alhambra and the arab quarter of Albaicin. Probably you also know about the famous Granada Tapas and its flamenco dancing.... but there is much more to see!

Profiting from the fact that we are "locals" and we know very well Granada,

at the time of booking we will be sending a small Guide with very good local tips.


Granada has its own airport, and the trip to Granada from this airport can be done either by taxi or by a shuttle. It is also easy to reach Granada by train

Still, if you come by plane, you may find a larger choice at Malaga Airport, which is 140 km from Granada. At both airports, naturally, you can rent a car.

You will enjoy being at a rather busy area, with shops, restaurants and tapas bars all around, while resting at a very quite "home"
