Located in a prime location on the gated Hacienda del Alamo golf complex, this property is a 6 person, detached villa with pool, purchased new in March 2014, on a generous corner plot (approx 800 sq. m.) with views over an almond orchard and distant mountains. All living rooms and bedrooms are air-conditioned and there is free WiFi. There is a solarium accessible from the inner courtyard and a covered comfortably furnished terrace overlooking the private pool. Apart from the solarium, the villa is all on one level, with newly landscaped gardens in typical Mediterranean style, containing native and exotic flowers, shrubs and fruit trees. Lockable gates and a hedge secure the garden and the one-way access road ensures a quiet location. There is off-road parking outside. There is a traditional Spanish barbecue with table and chairs for 6 for al fresco dining, as well as a table and 2 chairs in the inner courtyard and a quiet area with table and chairs for 4 under the mature palm for your morning coffee. There is an outdoor shower by the pool and 4 poolside loungers. The beautifully-landscaped Dave Thomas designed championship golf course is within walking distance from the villa. Together with the Golf Academy with its 36 bay two-tier driving range, putting green and academy course all standards of golfer are catered for. There are also tennis and bowls courts, and tracks for joggers, walkers and cyclists. The villa is also ideally placed for relaxing getaways, and for family holidays, with a children's adventure play area nearby. The excellent road network ensures you can easily explore the local area, Mar Menor, the beaches of the Costa Calida and further afield to the beaches and mountains of Almeria.

The property was well maintained, just has expected from the details on the web site.

The location of the villa, the layout and the amenities were as expected from the details given by the owners. The property was clean on arrival and very well maintained. The owners were very helpful in providing directions from Alicante airport, the telephone of Nik who looks after the property for them, he even put himself out to come and find us when we were near to the resort.

We found it very quite and relaxing, everything you need for a holiday, the golf course was challenging, but enjoyable, staff at the golf club were friendly and helpful, food at the golf club was excellent and reasonable priced, and if you did not want to eat out the barbecue at the villa was good for dining in, with a good selection of food from the local supermarket in Fuente Alamo.

We would definitely recommend this villa to friends and family.

At the time of our visit the only activity open was the golf, there are only two restaurants on site, you needed to drive to coastal towns for restaurants, out of the two on site we would recommend the golf club.

Excellent villa

We have been on many villa holidays and this villa is one of the best we have stayed in.

The villa was a good size and had everything you would need from a BBQ, great pool and excellent eating and seating areas.

The resort was quiet but we liked that. Kennels pub was a short walk and had a karaoke on Sunday night.

THe local supermarket was only 10 mins drive and had everything you could need. To find good restaurants you need to travel about 30 mins to Cartegana or La Manga. Cartegana was especially nice.

We would have no hesitatation recommending this villa.

Lovely Family Holiday

A wonderful holiday in a gorgeous luxury villa, spotlessly clean and well maintained. Lovely pool with the Sun on all day but also with a cool shaded roof terrace.

On site there is a restaurant and pub that serve food, also a tennis club, which does a nice breakfast and paella.

If you prefer a ride out, the nearest town is Fuente Alamo, we found a little pizzeria called La Fontana, also on the square, a little local Cafe which serves lovely food of an evening. Approximately 30/40 minute drive into Cartagena which is a gorgeous city with Marina / restaurants and lots going on, also nearby beaches of Mazarron and Los Alcazares and La Manga are worth a visit or two.

A superb week in a high quality villa

We have enjoyed seven nights in this fabulous villa. It is very well equipped and comfortable and particular care has been taken to furnish and supply extras such as pool towels and wifi access. The shutters provide much needed shade to keep the rooms cool during the heat of the day. There is air conditioning but we never had the need to use it as we found that at this time of the year it is pleasantly cooler on an evening once the sun had gone down.

The outdoor brick barbeque went down a treat with my husband! The local supermarket offers a huge choice of meat - the steaks and ribs are of exceptionally good value . Fruit and vegetables in abundance and of course there are some very good red wines to sample!

The owners have created beautiful Mediterranean gardens which add to the features of the villa. We spent a majority of our week relaxing by the pool and making the most of the al fresco dining. There is a lovely shaded terrace with comfortable patio sofas and chairs and also a roof terrace which provides wonderful views across the mountains and local area - a wonderful vantage point to watch the sunset.

We hired a car from the airport. It takes approximately 35 minutes to the villa and we were met by Nik who welcomed us warmly. The location is ideal for exploring the area of Costa Calida and beyond.

It was great to find a villa where you can find just about everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay - thank you June and Peter.

Fantastic Villa - Highly Recomended !!!!

We have just returned from a fantastic 8 night stay at this superb Villa on the Hacienda Del Alamo Golf Resort. It was our first time to the Murcia region.

The Villa is by far the best accommodation we have ever stayed in. The owners have spent a lot of time ensuring that they get the detail right. The Villa has everything you need. Even down to providing Pool / Beach towels. The WiFi was excellent (Which pleased out 2 teenagers). The Pool is lovely - a decent size and perfect to cool off in the upper 30 Degree heat. The views where lovely across open countryside. The bedrooms where superb, excellent mattresses & Pillows.

The complex is quite, but this suits us fine. We wanted a quite relaxing holiday.

We only had one meal on the complex and that was at the Spaniard Inn. The meal was OK and was good value.We did visit the Golf Club for a drink on the Patio overlooking the course. The prices here were reasonable as well. I wish I had brought my Clubs as the course looked lovely.

We had numerous BBQ's. The supermarket is only 5mins away in the car and has everything you need. Very good prices especially on Fillet Steaks for the BBQ.

We visited Mazarron and La-Manga which are approx 35mins away. The road network is superb and travel times are minimal.

Beautiful peaceful location right for all ages

A beautiful villa all on one level making it perfect for children and grandma which our group included. Although there's a lovely terrace through a courtyard up some stairs which gives perfect views with a evening glass of wine. The villa has everything we needed. We added to the inflatables already there and spent mornings evenings playing pool games the children 8 and 10 loved it wifi available aswell. Close to Main roads to travel and sight see. We will be back next year loved it

Location

From the Owner

After searching for two years for a holiday home in Spain in Almeria and Valencia we finally settled on this part of the Costa Calida. We love the traditional Spanish feel of this region, its rural villages and contrasting mountains, its excellent locally produced food, and its remoteness from the tourist trail. The sunshine is a bonus! We can be here in a little over two hours flight from our local airport, with a budget airline.

Coast/Beach:

Approx 35 minutes to beaches and restaurants of Mar Menor, La Manga, Puerto Mazarron. Sailing, diving, sea fishing available.

Approx 40 minutes to Sierra de Espuna National Park. Walking, cycling, quad biking, restaurant.

Approx. 1 hour to Aguilas, San Juan de los Terreros.

Travel:

Alicante is approx. I hour 15 minutes away and Murcia (San Javier) is about 30 minutes. Car hire is recommended and easily available from the airport of your choice, but if necessary airport transfers can be arranged. Please let us know when you book.

Distances:

The interesting and historic cities of Cartagena and Murcia are both about 30 minutes drive away, with lots to see and do, well as excellent shopping and restaurants.

Booking Notes:
We require a 25% deposit (non-refundable in the event of cancellation) paid upon booking. The full balance will need to be paid 8 weeks before arrival.

We also require a security deposit of £200 against breakages/damages to be paid with the balance, which will then be returned to you once our agents have confirmed that the villa and contents are okay.

Changeover Day:
Weekdays are preferred but we aim to be as flexible as possible. Ideally we would like the villa to be empty by 12 noon, but again, please let us know your requirements and we'll do our best to help.

Notes on prices:
If you wish to stay for less than 7 nights, we may be able to help - please contact us for prices and availability.

Payments will be direct into our UK bank account, if you wish to pay in Euros that will be direct into our Spanish account and at the exchange rate ruling at the time. ~alternatively you may wish to use the Owners Direct secure payment system.

The price includes air-conditioning/heating, Wi-Fi, all electricity and a mid-stay clean and linen change for 2 week bookings.

A charge of £20 each per booking is required for the provision of a travel cot and/or high chair.

We have enjoyed furnishing our villa and making it comfortable, and it has been exciting creating a Mediterranean garden. We have already enjoyed several amazing weeks in the villa, relaxing, exploring and cooling off in the pool. The excellent motorway system nearby makes it easy to explore the area and further afield. We also chose this villa as the facilities on Hacienda del Alamo would have been difficult to match in a village location. The resort is suitable for families and couples, as well as keen golfers.
