Modern, spacious, 4 bedroom house. 15 minutes walk from the beach.

Northolme is a traditionally styled, spacious, end of terrace cottage built in 2011 and is located in the beautiful Bay holiday Village. It is within walking distance of the large, sandy beach via The Bay’s own private access.

Northolme is equipped and furnished to a high standard throughout and can accommodate eight guests with ease. The property is split over two floors with 4 bedrooms, a fully fitted kitchen and lounge as well as a separate dining room. To the rear of the property there is a private, south facing patio area with access from the lounge.

On the first floor there are two double and one twin bedroom. The master bedroom is en-suite and there is a separate family bathroom. There is also a W.C. and a double bedroom on the ground floor. This makes Northolme ideally suited for guests with mobility problems. The cottage is double glazed and centrally heated throughout and electricity and gas is un-metered for guests. There is also free Wi-Fi internet access available for all guests.

We welcome dogs that are well behaved, (please let us know who you are bringing at the time of booking). Dogs are also made welcome in The John Paul Jones the on-site pub and restaurant. As well as the beach there is a large meadow with lakes and other open spaces that are suitable for dog walking. Northolme is a real home from home for a large family to stay, or for a couple of families to enjoy together.

The Bay is a purpose built holiday village nestling in Filey bay on the stunning North Yorkshire coastline. It has a coffee shop, pharmacy and the John Paul Jones family pub. It also boasts a leisure complex comprising of a covered, heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym. There are numerous other activities including a putting green, archery and a tennis court to name but a few.

A real Home from Home!

What a lovely house, there was everything we needed for our long weekend away. Clean and spacious, very comfortable, and some lovely fresh flowers in the dining room, a real Home from Home! Thank you for letting us stay in your holiday home, we would definitely recommend Northolme to our family and friends. We are thinking of returning again ourselves in the not too distant future.😊😊😊😊😊

Fab home from home by the sea

Fantastic holiday! The location is perfect with an easy walk down to the beach. We loved having the on site facilities and used both the pub and restaurant which we had lovely meals in. The swimming pool was nice albeit the changing facilities weren't ideal for a young baby but we managed and it didn't spoil it.

The cottage itself was spotless, modern and very well equipped. The books and games went down well. The only thing we found was that the bedrooms were quite compact so we struggled to fit the cot in, we just managed to squeeze it down the side of the downstairs bed. There were a few chipped cups and a couple of spotlights out in the kitchen but only very minor things.

Overall we loved this holiday and would definitely recommend it.

Nice pleasant property, lack of private outside space a downside and also needs better upkeep

Our first impression was quite good but we did notice the property had not been cleaned properly. The toilet's were stained and didn't appear to have been cleaned with bleach etc. The floor in the kitchen had been mopped but still dirty marks near the bin (came off easily with a wipe) but we shouldn't have to do this. The walk in shower the door was dirty with mould etc. The door handle on downstairs toilet came off (we did report this). We did think it would be nicer to have an enclosed garden/area outside rather than the small patio area which isn't private at all. The location was really good and the walk to the beach lovely. The pub was good. My grandchildren did sea scooters and kayaking which were very good and well organised. The walk around the lake/meadow was very nice. In all it is a good base for this coast. For what we paid we expected the house to be cleaned to a higher standard. Apart from that everything was fine and we had a good week.

Compact, well equiped modern cottage for us 7 persons in modern holiday village.

We liked the architecture of the Bay Filey holiday town, many new houses were in construction too. The Northolme cott was not very big but well equiped. Sofa's and beds comfortable. Terrace very compact as was the parking space.

The children loved the pool and soccer pitch. Filey the perfect spot to explore coast and moors.

nice house,nice location,got every thing you want.

as above all round a nice place , the only down side was the problem with one of the beds(it broke) maybe it is time for the owner to redo the paint work and upgrade some of the beds after 5years it is showing some wear,otherwise we had a nice break at The Bay very good location.
