It has fantastic 360 degree sea views from large roof terrace equipped with barbecue, sun loungers, outdoor shower and dining area with all day sunshine. Located 150 metres from shops, bars , restaurants and a fantastic swimming pool (supervised by 3 lifeguards). Set in tropical gardens with all the amenities required for a wonderful holiday. Spacious terrace located just off living room with stunning sea views and furnished with table and chairs. With one double bedroom and one twin bedroom this property is ideal for families. This large villa accompanied with one terrace and one spectacular roof terrace has to be seen to be believed. Access to Nerja town is easy - bus service every 30 mins until 12 midnight. Taxi to and from town 6 Euro approx. Lovely location but needs updating.
The positives are: The views from the two terraces are wonderful. The breeze on the top terrace is much welcomed. The first terrace is great for breakfast and evening drinks and taking in the views.
The walls of the interior have clearly been recently painted and are bright and clean as are the curtains. The mirrored doors make everything seem open and bright. The views from the windows are wonderful.
The kitchenette was big enough.
Bed sheets were clean and fresh looking.
The washing machine worked well and was really quiet.
Overall the floors and walls were cleaned well as was the bathroom.
TV channels were great. WIFI access was a big patchy at peak times but with re booting, worked ok.
Plenty of parking nearby.
You are close to the pool and bar areas which were lovely and clean. The pool was excellent for all ages with attentive pool guards. You have to pay extra for sunbeds and umbrella.
The negatives are: The kitchen area is old and was dirty with dirty finger prints along the fridge door. It was mouldy along the seal of the fridge. It had not recently been refurbished.
The bathroom was extremely smelly with the odour from the drains. We had to leave the door shut. It was very tired and had not been refurbished recently and was in need of a makeover at least. This was not as described, stating “Newly fitted”
There is no utility room other than a washing machine in a wardrobe.
The aircon unit was old and undersized. It struggled to cool the lounge area. It started to leak on the floor. When the workman came to look at it, he stated it was broken and needed replacing as it was held together with tape. We had been told by the owners that is had been checked on his recent visit, which we believe was the week prior to us.
The roof terrace sunbeds were old and very dirty. The sunbed pads were ripped and dirty so we didn’t use them. The roof shower did not work but due to the poor state of the tiles (missing and dirty) we would not have used it anyway.
The seat pads on the chairs on the first terrace were old and dirty and needed cleaning but really needed replacing.
The sofas in the lounge area were ok but not luxurious at all.
Overall: This is a really lovely positioned apartment. It has wonderful views but is let down by the lack of investment in maintaining the interior fittings. This could be a fabulous apartment that could be described as luxurious but just isn’t at that standard at this time. It needs a more realistic review.
We must write this review so others are not mislead. The website says “Indoors Air Conditioning”. There is a unit. However, this is only in the lounge area. The description connotes air conditioning in more than one area. We were reluctant to try the unit as it was cracked. When we did, it only seemed capable of dispersing hot air. There was a fan, but it was cracked & dirty. Internet described as being available & not subject to any additional mandatory fees (see website Pricing). Our understanding was reinforced by the brochure in the villa which stated “Wifi is provided free in this apartment. The code for connection is found on the underneath of the router”. Wifi was not available, let alone free. On speaking with the owner’s agent we were told the internet provider had gone out of business & they could provide a router for 30 euros/week. They spoke with the owner who suggested Wifi was not advertised as being included. The matter was left unresolved.Recently refurbished must mean within the last 5/10 years. By today’s standards white plastic loungers cannot accurately be described as “luxury”. The lounger pads provided were dirty and ripped. The property is described as being suitable for 6 people.There were 3 shabby loungers & 1 chair on the top terrace. Shower enclosure was filthy in places. Sink vanity unit cracked & the shower missing the temperature control cover. The bathroom is not accurately described as “newly fitted”. Outdoor shower in a terrible condition. The tiles were flaking, loose, cracked and missing altogether in places. An accident waiting to happen - certainly not “ideal for families”. The shower head was scaled/discoloured & needs to be replaced. Utility room - This is stretching the description & meaning of the word “room”. There was a top loading washing machine located in a cupboard. One double room with TV - There was evidence the room had a TV at some stage, it does not have one now. We object to paying a substantial amount of rent for a property on the basis of inaccurate/misleading information. We don’t want others to suffer the same deception. Villa is in a nice complex & the views from the terraces excellent. However, owners cannot & should not describe properties as newly refurbished when a more accurate description is tired, dated & needing improvement. They should refrain from listing facilities that are not available. We cannot recommend this property & will not stay here again.
