Stunning 6 bed chalet in Samoens - peaceful yet extremely central location

Chalet La Roche is a stunning, village central property which was renovated by an interior designer in 2011 and has been very well-maintained since. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and there is a well-equipped kitchen in the chalet as well as a beautiful separate sitting room on top of the open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The chalet is available on a self catered basis with either just the chalet (4 bedrooms), just the apartment (2 bedrooms) or the whole property (6 bedrooms). There is wifi throughout, games consoles in both properties, UK TV, beautiful sun-trap terraces with both properties and the chalet has its own hot tub. For the winter guests, there are boot warmers and plenty of storage for skis in the garage and in the summer, this area can be used for bike storage and other equipment.

About Sam White

My husband (Steve) and I have been running our chalet business (Absolute Alpine) since 2009. We moved here from the UK and have loved living here in Samoens ever since. The area is absolutely stunning and is a complete world away from the hustle and bustle of our lives back in London. Since moving here, we've had a little boy called Barney and a little girl called Lola, who sometimes pop into the chalet to say hello.

Why Sam White chose Flaine - Grand Massif

We have been managing the La Roche property since 2011 and we love it almost as much as the owners do! It made sense for us to start looking after a self catered property in order to give our customers a larger variety of holiday options and properties.

What makes this chalet unique

Chalet La Roche is spacious, central and quiet which is makes it a perfect get away for friends and family. It's beautifully well appointed and has all of the creature comforts that you could need to make it feel like a home from home.

What a pleasure to deal with Absolute Alpine! Wonderfully professional in every aspect. The Chalet (we had La Roche, including the apartment) was great. So often luxury chalets probably were once, but now they are tired. Not here. Well appointed, well maintained, tastefully decorated, slick and span. Good sized rooms and spacious throughout. A very short walk to the shops and bars and the lovely village of Samoens. BBQ and terrace was plenty big enough to accommodate 8 people but alas the weather let us down and we ate inside most evenings. Again, plenty of room so not a problem. Lots of activities locally and reasonably priced too - our party did a "Top Gear" mountain bike challenge, white water rafting, trekking, walking, and parapenting. Oh and I nearly forgot, some extreme shopping at Carrefour just down the road. Would thoroughly recommend the chalet and Absolute Alpine - they will certainly be our preferred Alpine holiday people of the future! - Bryant family August 2014



We travelled with a baby and a toddler to Chalet La Roche with Absolute Alpine and Sam and the team made our stay so relaxing. They had thought of absolutely everything we'd need for both children and the chalet was a dream. We spent most of each day in the kitchen living room that has fantastic views of the village.



It's location was perfect for us, close enough to the village centre for our morning boulangerie run and only a 10 minute walk (in shoes) to the ski lift - close enough for us not to mind missing the free ski bus.



The village was busy enough to keep the children and non skiers busy. Hopefully we'll be back again soon if not for the skiing the place has plenty to offer in summer. - Dafis family - January 2014

Outside: There are two wrap around terraces - one at the chalet level and the other at the apartment level. Both have tables and chairs and the chalet has a BBQ for the summer guests. Utility Room: Chalet Washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave and all cleaning equipment Apartment Washing machine, microwave and all cleaning equipment Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included in the price. We ask that the property be left with the beds stripped and the rubbish and recycling removed.

Coast/Beach:

There is a 'beach' area at Lac Bleu at Morillon which is fantastic for families in the summer. It's a manmade lake with a sandy area and has lifeguards during the peak weeks in the summer.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Geneva and the drive takes an hour. It's a very straight forward drive. Alternatively, it takes 8 hours to drive form Calais.

Distances:

It's about a 200m walk into the village of Samoens with it's chocolate-box pretty town square and cobbled streets. Chamonix, Annecy, Yvoire and Geneva are all approximately an hour's drive away.

Further Details:

There are several very good restaurants and patisseries in the village and a few bars. The nearest big supermarket is about 1.5km out of the village or there is a smaller local supermarket in the villages which stocks all staples.
