About the property

Cottage in Boscastle, Cornwall, England

Fall asleep to the sound of the sea and wake to watch the boats bobbing on the turning tide below. Spend time sitting out on the glorious terrace, with uninterrupted views of the harbour, cliffs & out to sea. Take a short walk to the National Trust Cafe, renowned local pubs and wonderful restaurants. Old Anchor Cottage is situated adjacent to the South West Coast path and provides an excellent base for visiting the many and varied attractions and beaches of North Cornwall and beyond. Cosy and well equipped, Anchor's Reach has 4 en-suite bedrooms, all with views of the Harbour. Step out of the door and you are on the coastal path, 2 mins away you are on the cliff and looking out to sea. Anchor's Reach is simply idyllic.

About Carolyn Harris

We are the nomadic Harris family and Boscastle is our cherished constant! We met in France, currently live in Belgium, our little ones were born in Budapest and who knows where next...

One thing is for sure - we love Cornwall, and our little piece of it, and we plan to enjoy it as a family for years to come - we hope you do too!

In our absence please have a drink on the terrace for us and we hope the seals make you welcome!

Wonderful house and beautiful location!

  • 5 of 5

My partner and I took our parents-in-law to stay in Cornwall for 3 days and chose to stay at Old Anchor Cottage. We could not have been happier with our choice! The house is absolutely fantastic - very well equipped, and very luxurious with each bedroom having its own ensuite (one with a deep bathtub which was a big hit).

You can get onto the coastal path right from the doorstep, and the views from the windows in the house are really spectacular. We enjoyed beautiful weather during our stay, and did a number of long walks on the coastal path, which were incredibly beautiful. The village of Boscastle itself is really wonderful - with very dramatic scenery all around and a friendly atmosphere. Fantastic stay, I'm sure we will be back!

A lovely Cottage with lots of space and tasteful decor. The terrace over the harbour is sheer bliss

We loved our stay here in Boscastle at Gull Cottage. Lots of space, lovely taste, incredible views from the terrace overlooking the harbour, whilst enjoying a gin and tonic

A very good place to enjoy cliff walks from outside your door, or travel to Port Isaac, Polzeath, Rock and Padstow. (Avoid Rick Stein Cafe at all cost)
