Disappointed

We needed somewhere to stay that was near our apartment while we waited for work to be complete. This fitted the bill and was cheap. However the standard of cleanliness and state of repair was very poor. Front door extremely difficult to open. Had to be battered with our shoulders. Frame is warped Toilet was totally black under the water line. no brush to clean it There were no towels, even though ad said they were provided Air conditioning did not work in one of the bedrooms. Balcony and furniture thick with dust. All surfaces in apartment tacky despite ad saying it had been cleaned and disintected. All glasses, crockery, pans and utensils tacky. Pillows were heavily stained with sweat and saliva. Only discovered when stripping the beds to leave. Water dripping from the hot water boiler in bathroom.

Great Time

Great we'll equipped appartment. flip flops is a lovely complex the pool is huge and spotless clean and the gardens are very well kept, we met lots of people mostly owners that made us very welcome. the view from the balcony is stunning looking over to the sea.If you go on a boat trip during your stay Memhets boat is brilliant great company and fun and if you are a non swimmer like me you will get a swimming lesson as promised here had me swimming in the sea at a beautiful bay the bars and restaurants are pleantyful and the food was always good and great value for money. The walk up to the apartment is steep but not as bad as expected taxis are extreamly cheap have a nice stroll down and taxi back would definitely recommend

Beautifully located with stunning views of town and coastline.

We found the our accommodation basic but it provided good comfort after a hard day's sunbathing and swimming ! A few maintenance problems - water heater leaked and freezer compartment in fridge didn't work but great shower and cooker. Lovely, clean pool set in beautifully maintained grounds with abundance of wildlife.Close to Bodrum for a change of scenery accessed by reliable bus service so no need to drive. Gulluk itself is very pretty with a small beach, supermarkets, night market and great eating out at Alex's. People so friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back.

Nice apartment, great views and sunsets.

Nice apartment which was quite well furnished. Had most things you need. Beautiful views from the balcony overlooking the garden/pool area. The pool was lovely and clean and never very busy. The only negative thing I can say is that the complex is situated at the top of some very steep hills. So may not be suitable for everyone. We walked to the centre of Gulluk most nights and that takes about 15-20 minutes , a taxi back was very cheap. When we visited there was some building work going on outside which was very noisy etc.

Why they chose this property

I fell in love with Gulluk because I liked the fact that it's not commercialised, the weather is great, its a peaceful and lovely place to relax and its also very safe. Although it is not to busy it still has everything you need to have a great holiday, there are some fantastic fish restaurants (all fresh caught) as well as other restaurants. What ever you do in Gulluk from shopping to a boat trips etc is all very good value for money, You will find the locals very friendly, warm and welcoming. I particularly fell in love with my apartment because of the lovely sea view from the balcony and the fact that the complex is very well maintained and has beautiful landscaped gardens (see photos).
