We are husband and wife who live in the UK we have recently bought this property as we both work hard and feel that there are times in life when it's important to have somewhere beautiful to go and really relax. We want to share this little piece of loveliness!!

Why alison and jeff cole chose Manilva area

We fell in love with this area as it still has it's spanish charm with lovely beaches and marina nearby

Although it has all the amenities you could need it still seems to have that "been away from it all" feeling

The last time we there we went to the pizzeria just down the road with amazing food and the tirimusu is what dreams are made of !!! We went twice ! Strongly recommended

Also there is a great little cafe/bar on the front of main road called itzabar lovely breakfasts and Italian coffee once again we went twice !!!

What makes this apartment unique

There is a big supermarket within a five minute walk away to enable you to get everything you need with little street cafés scattered around and about down to the front so you can stop have a drink on your little travels around!

Great park for the kiddies just outside the main gate at bottom of complex absolutely beautiful !

Notes on accommodation: There is no smoking allowed inside an ashtray has been provided on the balcony for your use. No pets allowed. We offer a full meet and greet service Please note late flight arrivals after the hours of 10pm will be charged a fee of €25 Outside: Our balcony overlooks the front pool and has furniture to seat six. There are lovely flat communal gardens all around the complex which consists of two large communal pools and two children's splash pools. WC's and showers in the pool areas. Utility Room: Water heater, washing machine, iron board and iron, pegs and clothes airer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels (inclusive of beach towels) and all linens are included, property cleaned with each change over if staying longer than a week cleaning and linen changes can be provided when required. Other: Balcony (accessed from the lounge) over looks the front pool and has patio set with seating for six. Ashtray provided here for outside smoking only

Beautiful !

This is a super apartment in a great location . Just back from our stay and would most happily go back tomorrow!! Apartment has everything you need with a lovely view over pool . It doesn't have that " rented out " feel , it's how you would keep it yourselves . Short walk to the beach . This area is far more Spanish than further up the coast ... perfect ! Gardens and pool beautiful too .

Lovely apartment, all good!

A great apartment in a nice area, just a short walk down to the beach. We had a great time and have not one single complaint.

One small point - the main pool is 1m30cm so if you have an older child that is too big for the baby pool but not 100% confident in swimming, this can be an issue - we just bought a swim jacket for our son and that worked out fine.

Great communication through the whole process - would absolutely recommend.

Shhh...Keep this place secret until you've booked!

I must explain the late writing of this review. We had such a fabulous time here last year, we didn't want to recommend it until we'd decided on our dates for 2017!

Returning to this lovely apartment was an easy decision. It's location, which about a 10 minute walk down-hill to the beach, 2 supermarkets are within walking distance too. Puerto Duquesa will take around 15 mins to walk to is perfect for families or couples.

The apartment is great. All very comfortable and clean and has everything you need and would expect, this includes sun-loungers and beach towels.

The pools areas are lovely. We have teenagers and they were able to wander down to one of the pools alone while we could still keep an eye them from the balcony. If one pool is busy, you only have to walk around to the 2nd one on site.

The owner, Alison, is fabulous at communication and has answered my emails (many of them!) within a day if not a few hours.

Gerry met us and was on hand for any problems should they occur (which they didn't).

All in all, we had a fab time, couldn't fault the place and we've booked to go back this year.

I can't imagine why you'd be disappointed if you booked to stay here.

We stayed at this beautiful 4/5* apartment week com 6th Oct 2014, the apartment is stylishly furnished, a very spacious apartment, it will easily accommodate up to six people. The master bedroom which has an en-suite bathroom is a really big bedroom the second twin bedroom is a perfect size for two adults, teenagers or children to share.

The massive sofa bed in the lounge is a fantastic size either to sleep or just to laze around on to watch the 40” TV, which has a good selection of English and Spanish channels, there is also a good selection of DVD’s to choose from if you fancy a movie night in, also an iPod dock is available so you can play your music.

The kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need should you decide to dine in at home, you can dine inside the apartment or outside on the spacious balcony with pool views, again both dining areas can seat six people comfortably.

There are beautiful grounds around the complex, with two fabulous adult pools and two smaller children’s pools which has 24 hour security. There is also a children’s park you can visit just outside the complex which is worth a visit with your children, it’s beautiful.

As suggested we visited the little Italian called the Capasso Pizza in Sabinillas, the perfect lasagne, the perfect Italian cheesecake, and the perfect service, very impressive!

We also visited “itZabar, in Sabinillas, excellent breakfast and delicious burgers and snacks, well worth a visit they do a great coffee and you can sit relax and take it easy and people watch with the local Spanish people who are really friendly and welcoming.

Sabinillas is a beautiful Spanish village with all its original Spanish charm and culture, I would highly recommend you visit and explore its impressive beaches you won’t be disappointed, and you will want to share this real “Spanish feel” with your family and friends in this beautiful little village called Sabinillas, Can’t wait to go back with my family& friends to this apartment!.

The Duquesa marina was our favourite place to visit, beautiful yachts, beautiful restaurants, and beautiful people the views are idyllic it’s a “must see” place to experience.

The Costa del Sol has so much to offer, you can drive to Marbella, Estepona, Malaga, & Gibraltar, so many fantastic places to see and explore.

Top Tips: Supermarket 5 minutes’ walk, hire a car go exploring, checkout the local bars and restaurants. Great Welcome book provided with lots of local information.

Just a 10 minute stroll to Puerto Duquesa Marina, along the promenade of Sabinillas with its sandy beaches shops and bars.

Buses and taxis are available from both Sabinillas and Duquesa


55 minute drive to Malaga airport.

30 minute drive to Gibraltar airport.

Car rental can be picked up from both destinations.

Car pick ups can also be arranged.


Marbella is about 20 mins drive.

Estepona is about 10 mins drive.

Gibraltar is about 30 mins drive (don't forget your passport).

Further Details:

Just outside the bottom gate of the complex is an amazing park for the children with a gorgeous sea horse fountain in the middle a must visit for the little ones. Car hire is not essential as you are near to local supermarkets, restaurant's, bars, banks and medical centre. However we would recommend you hire a car as 1) its cheaper than the taxi fare to and from the airport and 2) it allows you to visit places of interest such as the beautiful Spanish village of Caseres up in the mountains (just up the road), take trips into Marbella and Gibraltar. Driving is a pleasure in the Costa del sol the main road is very scenic and links are very good.
