Peaceful Location, Stunning Mountain Views, 4 Min to Corralejo, 6 min to Beach

Villa "Sunseeker". A fabulous detached private villa on a corner plot. Come and enjoy some sun and relaxation in this peaceful location. Only a 4 hour flight from the UK for guaranteed sunshine all year round. The villa is spacious and fully equipped to make your stay comfortable. Each window or patio door has a louvred door on the outside. Both the glass window and louvred door operate independently. On warm days you can keep the louvred doors closed and open the glass windows, this keeps the sun out and the breeze flowing through the villa. Enclosed secure garden with childproof pool surround which can be removed fully to give unobstructed access. The pool provides a great place to cool down, refresh or just float and recharge those batteries. The L-shaped patio and pool has sun all day. The large patios provide plenty of space to soak up the sun or snooze in the shade. The outside table and barbecue make the ideal place for al fresco dining.

The villa has recently been fully refurbished and updated. It has been furnished with all new beds and bedding. All towels provided are also new.

We have a local English Management team who live on La Capellania and are available to assist you with anything you may need.

The villa is just off the main Corralejo to La Oliva road. There is a mountain backdrop to the rear and natural parkland to the front which stretches all the way down to the famous sand dunes. Only a short distance to Corralejo for good restaurants and shopping. Beautiful old fishing town of Corralejo with lots of hidden gems to explore. There are a couple of small beaches in town the world renowned sand dunes and beaches of the nature reserve are on the outskirts of town. Great Acua waterpark on the doorstep.

There are also many little villages and towns to explore in Fuerteventura, both along the coast and in the mountains. The roads are very good and easy to navigate.

Eating out is cheap and the standard of restaurants is excellent, especially in the old town and along the seafront. Live entertainment is often provided if you dine in one of the two squares in the old town. The towns of La Oliva, Villeverde, Larjares and El Cotillo, only a short drive away, all boast excellent restaurants.

Locally: In La Capellania there is an excellent fully stocked supermarket and a couple of Spanish restaurant/cafe, just a short walk from the villa.

Activities: kite surfing, windsurfing, surfing, deep sea fishing, scuba diving, submarine and boat cruises, quad and off-road safaries, snorkelling, Acua Water Park, horse riding, golf.

For those who not wish to drive there is a regular, very reasonably priced bus service from the entrance of La Capellania straight into town. Alternatively taxis are readily available and are also reasonably priced.

About Chris Nightingale

Our first visit to Fuerteventura was in February 2014. As we both work full time we wanted to get a relaxing break with guaranteed sunshine after weeks and weeks of rain in the UK. The island has excellent flight connections to the UK and it is only a short 4 hour flight and as the time is the same as the UK, no jet lag.

We both liked the island and spent the week exploring and getting a lovely winter tan. We found the prices for eating out or supermarket food to be cheaper then the UK with good choices and quality.

We came back in May to confirm our feelings for the location and started looking for a holiday home to buy.

The purchase was completed in July and we have not looked back since. Look forward to coming out here every couple of months for some sun and relaxation.

Why Chris Nightingale chose La Oliva

The location is perfect, peace and quiet just outside Corralejo; but only a short drive away to enjoy the hustle, bustle, shopping, activities, sports, dining.

Renting a car is not necessary from this location as there are excellent transport links, a bus stop is a 5 min walk. The bus service is very good, popular and excellent value for money. All popular places on the island can be reached by bus. There is also a taxi rank next to the bus stop, again their services are very good and affordable.

Sit on one of the beaches in Corralejo town at a beach side bar enjoying a cool drink, watching the world go by, exploring the island's many beautiful locations, or just lazying around the villa pool... , do as much or as little as you like.

The property has recently been fully refurbished throughout and redecorated both internally and well as externally. We have subsequently furnished all the bedrooms with new beds and mattresses. The bed linen and towels are all brand new and of excellent quality.

Welcome packs can be made available on request, this will give you a range of basic food & drink items if you were to arrive late.

Lovely, well equipped

Lovely villa, well maintained and equipped. No English TV available but stacks of DVDs and there is wifi so can always use a tv tuner on a device if desperate. The only downside is that the pool was so cold, it was unusable at this time of year which was a real shame as my little girl was desperate to use it. Chris was very helpful pre-holiday with info and Keith collected and dropped us off at airport as we didn't want to hire a car. If you not to hire one, check the bus timetables are correct as twice we waited for nearly 2 hours!! Highlights were the sand dunes and El Cotillo, both easy enough to get to on the bus and both absolutely stunning. The local supermarket is less than ten minutes but there is not much else in walking distance except a small bar as the big shopping / bar complex is all closed, which is a real shame.

Overall, a beautiful island, a clean and friendly complex and a lovely comfy little villa. We will be back

Owner's Response: Unfortunately due to the infrastructure improvements, the buses have not been running to schedule. The road works are due to be finished during the spring, no doubt the buses will then return to their reliable timetable.

Beautiful villa

Despite having the worst weather for years on record (as we were told) it was warmer than we expected for late December/January, so we were pleasantly surprised!

Lovely villa! Very well equipped & such a home from home feeling! Road works being undertaken during our stay which made the taxi fare double on the way into Corralejo (still only 12€) but on the way back, usual price of 6€ so was still not worth hiring a car.

The kids loved the pool (bit too cold for us adults though at this time of year, haha)

The owner Chris had been very helpful throughout & maintenance couple Jayne & Keith were ever so prompt with calling round when needed.

Thank you for a lovely stay. We didn't want to come home & will definitely recommend to others.

Excellent, real home from home

We had a wonderful 10 night stay, Chris the owner gave us loads of information which made it easy to book and find. The place is spotless, we loved all the extras such as dvd's to watch,fast wifi and well stocked kitchen. Was great to sit privately in sun with own pool, "listening to music" in December ! Definitely on our list of places we want to return to.

Lovely clean comfortable villa. Very spacious. Kitchen well equipped, box full of very useful local information. Owner and managing agent very helpful and great to deal with. Airport transfers were particularly useful.

Wonderful

We had a wonderful 17 night stay at this stunning villa, I don't think the pictures of the villa really do it justice! It is well equipped and has everything you could really need for a restful holiday. We stayed with our sons aged 10 and 8 and they spent many many hours in the pool having fun. Weather was wonderful and sunny everyday. The beds are extremely comfy and the property is very clean. All communication with the owner was excellent and the couple who look after the property are also really helpful and polite. It's great the villa has a private parking space too. I spent many hours running in the local area and felt very safe. Would fully recommend this property to families looking for a relaxing break near Corralejo.

A lovely hidden wee gem

We hired a car to come from the airport and the journey in the car along the coast road is incredible. The directions Chris sent us where spot on and we found the villa with no problems at all. The villa has everything you would need from a fully equipped kitchen, lounge with dinning table, enclosed outdoor area with pool, loungers, dinning table and bbq. Two bathrooms ideal for the full family and much to our kids delight a great dvd selection. The area is a couple of miles from Corralejo and parking can be easily found on many of the side streets. We did eat out in a few restaurants and bars and no complaints at all. We hired a Jetski (99euros for 2 people for 45mins). We hired a dune buggy (69 euros for 2 people for 4 hours). The Aqua Park is expensive for what's there and you have to pay extra if you want your own inflatable ring for some of the slides. If you don't hire the ring you have to wait in a queue for one to become available. **TOP TIP if you go after 2 pm you get in cheaper. Park closes at 6pm and we did struggle to spend the full day. So we were glad we went after 2pm. On the plus side the staff are amazing so helpful and friendly. Our youngest son is Autistic and they were fabulous with him and the family. We drove across the island to El Cotillo and the lagoons where like something from the movies. We swam in the sea, watched the surfers, drank, ate and watched the world go by. We went to Caleta de Fuste and Puerto deal Rosario and there are loads more water activities to do there. We visited most of the towns along the coast so I would recommend hiring a car as its all beautiful. **TOP TIP you 'must' stop at Parque Natural de Corralejo. You will be driving along the coastal road and all of a sudden 'Tah Dah'. You are what looks like the middle of the desert. It's amazing. Chris thanks again for all your help before and during our booking pass on my thanks to Jayne and Keith too. Hopefully we will be back very shortly. Carol and family.

Special interest holidays:

Lovely scenery of dormant volcanoes. The spectacular Corralejo dunes nature reserve and fabulous beaches.

A host of watersports, in particular different types of surfing is very popular as the waves can be quite large. Two key areas for surfing are Corralejo or El Cotillo (15 min drive), depending on the wind.

Fishing is another popular activity. You can book a place on a boat or book a complete boat if you have a large enough party.

Coast/Beach:

The spectacular Corralejo dunes nature reserve with wonderful beaches are a 6 min drive away. In the opposite direction, a 15 min drive is El Cotillo, beautiful old harbour, one side has a beautiful calmer beach the other side of the town has a surfing beach. Lots of rock pools for exploring.

The south side of the island has many more miles of sandy beaches.

Travel:

The airport is a 40 min drive away, taking you on a very scenic coast road through the nature reserve. Driving is very easy and the roads are very well signposted. A rental car would be beneficial for the location and to explore the beautiful island. Taxis are readily available and public transport is both reliable and inexpensive.

Distances:

Corralejo is a 4 min drive away. Just far away to give peace and quite but on the doorstep for dining out and activities.

Caleta De Fuste is 45 min drive away and boasts a shopping centre, El Cotillo 15 min, Villa Verde 5 min, Lajares 10 min drive. The water park in Corralejo is 5 min. Puerto Del Rosario with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and historical places to visit is a 30 min drive.

Further Details:

A full sized well stocked supermarket is a 5 minute walk away. There is also a couple of Spanish cafe/bars.

From the port in Corralejo you can take a ferry to Playa Blanca in Lanzarote.

There is a twice weekly market in Corralejo.

A zoo which also has tropical gardens is located about 120km south in La Lajita.

  • Outside: L-shaped garden, two different patios around a private pool. Outside lighting. 6 seater patio dining table & barbecue ideal for dining al fresco. Sun loungers around pool. Solid wooden fencing structure around pool, fencing panels can be lifted out individually, therefore you have a choice to only remove one for when children are in residence or remove all for easier access when it is safe to do so. Individual panels are too heavy for a child to lift out or to the required height to remove them from the fixed posts. Utility Room: The utility room can be accessed via the garden and houses a washing machine. Drying facilities can be found just outside the utility room. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and bed linen are provided and they are changed on a weekly basis. These items are all included in the weekly rental price as well as the cleaning of the villa after your stay. Other: Villa comes with private car parking. Lots of additional parking spaces available in parking bays on residential road. A highchair or travel cot can be provided during your stay for a nominal rental fee. Please note this is a non smoking villa.
