About the Owner

We bought The Elms because of its symmetry and original features. We thought it was such a shame that the previous owners were hiding the character of the building so we set about doing something about it! My family just love the house and even though we have now bought another house in the village we just cannot allow ourselves to sell it. Most days as we travel to and from Edinburgh we always look over at the house and pass some comment or other about it! We have put our own wee stamp on the frontage as Jo made the stain glass window! So, we hope you enjoy it as we did.

Fantastic property for opur large group of friends !

This is the second time we have stayed at The Elms and this was another fantastic holiday. The Elms is extremely spacious, luxurious and well presented it is also well kitted out for your every need with some lovely luxurious touches such as the jacuzzi bath !

Location and Facilities are fantastic too, huge back garden with patio and games room/conservatory, everyone enjoyed football on the lawn and at the mini fusball table ⚽️

I would highly recommend staying at The Elms. It's location in Elie is fantastic and walking distance to the all the beaches pubs incl ship inn & 19th hole, shops, coffee shops & bakery.

Thanks also again to Robert for accommodating our yearly friends get together much appreciated :) hopefully be in touch for next year 👍𣐼􎿻

Perfect Venue for Family Christmas

A stunning home in a beautiful spot. This was the perfect venue for our family Christmas. The property was immaculate and beautifully decorated for Christmas and Santa's arrival!! It was spotless and the perfect combination of traditional property with modern luxury. The owners attention to detail ensured that we felt very welcome and at home instantly....after running around exclaiming at all the beautiful touches! Can not recommend this property high enough and I am trying to think of a good reason to book again in the near future.

Elie itself is picturesque and everywhere we went the people were welcoming and friendly. Elie Deli is exquisite and the Ship Inn was a great place to enjoy a drink by the fire, even having some dog biscuits behind the bar for our four legged family member!

  • Notes on accommodation: Please note the large garden is shared with tenants occupying our Cottage and Apartment. Outside: There is a large Victorian Summer House at the rear of the garden which is ideal for late summer nights with a glass of wine! There is a small pond which is mostly covered but care is required from those with small children. The large garden is shared with The Elms Garden Cottage and Apartment. Utility Room: Complete with sink, dishwasher, washing machine, beer fridge and industrial iron. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Freshly clean lined and towels are supplied on arrival and additional cleaning services can be provided at additional cost.
