House in Ciudad Quesada, Costa Blanca South, Spain

This beautiful 2 bed house, comfortably sleeps 4 in two double beds and a 5th in a pull down single. It is situated in luxurious settings that is 'Residencia Albamar' with beautifully maintained gardens and 5 swimming pools, ranging from the children's pool to the deeper and larger adult pools, one which has a jacuzzi. The house is fully equipped, with fully kitted kitchen, bedding, towels for indoor use and separate towels for beach/pool use, garden furniture including sofa and chairs, table and chairs, parasol etc. There is a washing machine and clothes line. The house also benefits from integral air conditioning/heating units, (included for sensible useage), fibre optic broadband, DVD/Bluray player, HDTV, stereo with radio. We have installed a TV service with several TV channels, including BBC, ITV and CH4 services, as well as movie channels, sports channels etc. The upstairs veranda has views over the town and the salt lakes.

Why Andrew Jones chose Torrevieja Area

We bought this gorgeous little gem as a get-a-way retreat, however due to family, work and other commitments we do not use it as much as we had envisaged. We have therefore decided to rent for holiday makers, which will still enable us to use it when it is free.

We travelled from Valencia to Cartagena and into the mountains inland, and fell in love with the atmosphere and vibe of Cuidad Quesada. It has a busy centre, great restaurants and bars, but is quiet in the surrounding areas where our house is situated. Having settled on Cuidad Quesada as the town of our choice, we set about looking for a property. We looked at detached villas with their own pool, but decided we liked the security that comes with a condominium. When we saw this gem, we knew it was for us, and the condo is the bes

What makes this house unique

We love the weather, which is described by the WHO as one of the most equitable in the world - neither too hot in the summer nor too cold in the winter. On average it can boast 325 sunny days each year making it an ideal all year round destination.

We really love the markets :-) great products, (my wife loves the handbags), the one of Sunday just down the road is great and the street market in San Miguel on Wednesday is full of atmosphere and character. The market on a Friday in Torrevieja is bigger, but a bit more hard sell.

The restaurants are fantastic and the price is very reasonable, the people are friendly and accommodating.

Location

Coast/Beach:

The many Blue flag beaches of Torrevieja, Guadamar del Segura, and Santa Pola are all within 15 minutes drive, if you want to go further afield, the beaches at Capo Roig are well worth a look.

Travel:

Alicante and Murcia airports are both 50 kilometres away,(approximately 30 minutes drive), and we can arrange for someone to meet you and drive you to the house if you prefer. Please contact us for more information.

Distances:

For a day or evening out, Torrevieja is close by. One of the greatest tourist attractions of Torrevieja has always been its variety of entertainment for families and young people. There are more than a hundred night bars, the majority concentrated in the so-called El Baluarte area in the La Punta district, which have become a major attraction for thousands of people from all over the world.

Cuidad Quesada enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate; as is it is surrounded by mountain ranges, it can sometimes get very hot in summer, but it is protected against the cold North winds in winter. The area averages nearly 3,000 hours of sunshine each year and the average temperature easily exceeds 20 degrees.

In 1986 the World Health Organisation recommended the climate of the area as one of the most equitable in the world - neither too hot in the summer nor too cold in the winter. On average it can boast 325 sunny days each year making it an ideal all year round destination.

The town also boasts its own Water park for those of you looking for a bit of excitement, and the town of Torrevieja also has another water park for your enjoyment.

Outside: The house itself has a front and rear garden, the front is beautifully presented and designed with a water feature and beautiful plants. The patio area is well equipped with garden table and chairs for alfresco dining, and a parasol is also provided to help screen the sun if needed. On the entrance veranda there is a garden furniture group consisting of a sofa, two chairs and a coffee table, there is also a wind out canopy to provide this area with shade should you so wish whilst enjoying the garden/veranda. There is an additional balcony/veranda accessed from the master bedroom which also has two additional chairs and a table and its own parasol. The condominium also offers extensive and beautifully maintained gardens as well as the use of 5 pools, ranging from the shallow pools for young children, up to larger and deeper pools for the more advanced swimmers. Currently none of the pools are heated, although this is being discussed by the management. Utility Room: In the back garden there is a brick store/utility room, where the washing machine is situated. In this room there is also the water heater, racks with spare bulbs etc for the house and pool loungers. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bedding and linen and towels are provided. The property is cleaned before and after each letting, but not during your stay. Please note that an additional 50Euro charge is payable to the cleaners on arrival for the check out clean and washing. Other: Downstairs cloakroom/w.c is complete and modern.

Very good

Spent a great week in the house which was well equipped with almost everything you could need. Good position to explore the surrounding areas but you need a car to do this as no bus service in Quesada. Property manager Dave really helpful.,. Lovely pool area but unfortunately middle pool being worked on all week so we couldn't use it.

Only negative lack of sunbeds as only pool chairs ( but the owner did inform us of this before we went ) so could be a nice edition.

Great supermarket 5 minute walk away where there was also a nice Italian, a family restaurant bar and pub. Easy 15 minute walk into Quesada fo others .

A higher class of holiday let

We stayed for 5 nights in June and only wished we could've stayed more. The villa felt homely and cared for and immaculately clean. A few things stand out from other holiday let which I'll try and list here:

The sofa is comfy! So many holiday let sofas are cheap and nasty, this is a 'home' quality sofa

The same for the beds....really comfy

It's clean, perfectly clean!

The bathroom and kitchen are decorated to a high standard

There is ample garden furniture!

As you can see I've had in the past a few 'meh' experiences when it comes to a holiday let but this one felt like a home from home!

Amazing Break! Home to Home!

We travelled as a family of three, two adults and our teenage daughter. From the onset of the first email Andrew has been amazing at communicating! The house met all our needs and exceeded our expectations by far! The complex is amazing, clean and very safe. The pools were all fantastic! The house had everything you could ask for, sunbeds etc

The meet and greet was fantastic, very informative and quick!

We shall definetly be returning - one of our best stays in quesada!

Excellent stay

Very clean. Great location, close to shops and beaches and restaurants. Great market in Guardamar In easy driving reach of Alicante, Cartegena, Benidorm and Torrievieja.. Only downside TV not easy to use, garden furniture chairs rickety. Lighting in lounge too dark for elderly eyes to be able to read. Had a great holiday though.

Homely and enjoyable

The service from the owner and their managers was impeccable, excellent communication with well mannered people making you feel confident in your holiday experience. Safe complex that is well maintained, pools not heated but very nice area to relax in. Once settled in the area we found walking to the amenities easy, but you will need a car if you want to go to the beach no hardship in that its only 5 miles away. All in all I would recommend this property.

Very comfortable and extremely clean!

Myself and my family (2 adults, 3 children) had a lovely stay in Andrew's townhouse. The space is light and airy, and although it was too cold to use the pools, they looked amazing and very inviting. Every possible thing we needed could be found in the home, and as a 'bnb' proprietor myself, I know how much work goes into making a home spotless for guests, so well done to Sue and Dave as the place is kept absolutely immaculately. Another thanks to them for their friendly welcome and knowledge of the local area. I would recommend anyone to stay here in a heartbeat as it is also amazing value. Thank you so much everyone, we all had a fabulous time in the lovely February sun. Kind regards The Raymonds.
