The apartment is on the second floor, is light, sunny and spacious with two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room kitchen and dining area and a balcony. It is in excellent condition and very well equipped. The kitchen includes a cooker, hobs, microwave, fridge, freezer and dish washer. The TV has several English channels and there is a DVD player and free WiFi. The balcony has a table and chairs and three sledges for use by guests. There are beautiful views to Mont Blanc and to the village centre. Manoir Savoie is the 4* Residence where the apartment is located. It has 24 hour reception and a restaurant and is managed by Raddisson. Use of the spa and other Manoir facilities are included, It is on the edge slopes and and from the ski room, you ski straight into the main lift system and at the end of the day ski back through the village to the ski room door. Arc 1950 is the pretty village, is snow sure and arguably the best connected of the villages that make up the wonderful Paradiski area. It is less than 3 minutes walk from the apartment to the village centre. Facilities in the village include shops and restaurants, ski hire and a good ski school and child care. There is also a car park under the village if required with direct lift access into the reception.

About Angela Knight

I am a private owner and this is my own apartment which I let it out when I am not using it. It provides all the things that I want when I go on holiday, but often are not there. So there is coffee and tea and hot chocolate if you arrive late; lots of big fluffy towels;information about the resort; a stack of DVDs for quiet evenings in and a couple of sledges on the balcony which anyone can use.

Why Angela Knight chose Les Arcs area

I bought the apartment as we are skiikng family and love the fantastic ski area of the Paradiski created by connecting the slopes of Les Arcs with those of La Plagne. Arc 1950 is the pretty well designed and truly ski in/ ski out village. The apartment is in the Manoir Savoie residence which is the most spacious, has a great spa with full sized heated swimming pool, saunas and a fitness room. It is run as a 4* aparthotel by Raddisson hotels. From the ski room you ski straight into the main lift system and ski back through the village at the end of the day. From the balcony there is a wonderful view of Mont Blanc; it is quiet, but its only 3 mins walk to the centre of the village and all the facilities. The ski school is good; there are plenty of restaurants and facilities for children

What makes this apartment unique

When you arrive the beds are made up, towels and towelling gowns provided and a welcome pack. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms, large living room and fully fitted kitchen with oven, hobs, microwave, dishwasher and fridgefreezer. There is lots of storage; you will feel at home. The use of the spa is included as is the use of the business centre for those who need to keep in touch and use of the laundrette in Manoir.The apartment has a TV with several English channels, a DVD player and free WiFi. There is also a car parking space available in the car park underneath Manoir (payable separately) with a lift straight into reception. The reception is 24 hours for any queries and there is a restaurant in Manoir which does good breakfasts! I send my guests lots of info on Arc1950 when they book

Lovely apartment. Very spacious, well equipped and comfortable. Wonderful views and only minutes from the super gym, sauna,steam room and pool facilities. Everything we needed was provided. Definitely the best and most luxurious ski apartment we have stayed in. Angela is quick to respond and very helpful. Angela provided very detailed and clear information about the apartment, 1950 and suggestions on routes to Les Arcs.

Arcs 1950 is a lovely village - well planned and definitely ski in/out. A croissant from the boulangerie (only moments away) is a perfect start to the day!

Plenty of varied ski terrain and mountain restaurants for everyone in our family. Also good for non-skiers with free shuttle buses, walks and access to some of the lifts.

In our opinion pretty much the perfect ski apartment and resort....

Marvellous

This is a marvellous property, enormously spacious and right on the slopes. Skiing in and out is a breeze with all the services you would expect of luxury hotel without missing that personal touch.

The owners were extremely helpful with the booking. Having been skiing for over 20 years I can say that this is the best accommodation in its class I have had. The slopes are superb, the village is delightful and beautifully tucked into its own corner of the slopes. Instead of roads connecting restaurants, shops and accommodation, there are ski runs all linking to the main lift system without any fuss whatsoever.

At 2.5 hours from Geneva and Lyon and 1.5 from Chambery the apartment is ideally located linking not only to the entire piste map of Les Arcs but that of Le Plan as well.

Superb apartment in 1950

We stayed in this lovely apartment for the second year returning two days ago. We have been regulars in 1950 since it was very first built, having previously owned two properties in the village in other buildings. We are very happy to say that this is a great apartment, very comfortable with a beautiful view form the master bedroom down the valley to Mont Blanc.

The building is one of the best two in 1950. The cleanliness and state of repair is top notch - in fact almost all things in the village are even better this season than before.

We stayed in the new 5* hotel in 2000 for a couple of nights before moving to Angela's apartment and, of the two, the apartment was far more relaxing and comfortable!

We hope to return whenever there is space for us.

In short - book this apartment for a stay in 1950 as you won't find better for four people in the village.

Fantastic apartment, great location

We stayed in Angela's apartment for the week before Christmas 2016. From booking in the summer all the way through until we got home, this has been an excellent experience. Angela was incredibly helpful about the resort, a font of knowledge and also took the time to update us 48 hours before on the piste conditions and where to get the best of the skiing in Les Arcs/Paradiski. The apartment itself is excellent. It would comfortably accommodate 6 (we were 5), the kitchen had everything we needed, the bathrooms were really nice. The beds were excellent, including the pullout sofa bed (which sometimes are a bit hit and miss). Lovely extra touches like robes, linen and some well received beers when we arrived. We are definitely booking up again, I cannot recommend this apartment and Angela highly enough. We have been home for three weeks now and still have the post holiday blues! Thank you Angela.
