Le Laurier Rose - charming self contained ground floor apartment within a villa. Guests have exclusive use of garden, pool and BBQ during their stay. The apartment is situated just a one minute walk to the village centre of Caux, with all the necessary amenities. This includes a grocery store, pharmacy, English speaking doctor, greengrocer, two bakeries, butcher, post office, hair dresser, beauty parlor, news agent, tea room, bar/bistro, cafe/restaurant and a weekly market on Friday mornings. Just a 5 minute drive to the well known town of Pezenas, which has a large Saturday market and a stunning historical center full of arts and craft shops, bars, coffee shops, restaurants, museums and much more. The regions micro climate makes it a perfect place to take your holidays throughout the year. You will also find many lakes and rivers for water sports such as canoeing and of course not forgetting the beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean only a short drive away. The city of Montpellier is nearby with lots to see, theaters, restaurants, shopping centers as is the town of Beziers. Golf facilities nearby. Cycling and walking routes - too many to list!

We had everything we needed in the apartment. It was clean, well equipped with a delightful private pool and garden.. Mary is very friendly but discreet with 2 adorable dogs. The village has everything you need on a day to day basis. If we are back this way, we will try to come again.

Comfortable, peaceful and relaxing apartment.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Laurier Rose. Such a comfortable and well equipped apartment with everything we needed. Mary is very helpful and discrete and friendly. We loved the private garden and pool, and the quiet and peaceful village surroundings. Caux is well located being close to the main centres of Pezenas and Bezier, and also close to the coastal resorts. We enjoyed cycling through the vineyards to local villages, and even to the coast. So much more to explore in the area ... we must come back. Le Laurier Rose is to be highly recommended.
Great property, excellent location
The apartment is really well equipped with an excellent pool. It's only a few minutes walk into the centre of Caux which has a handful of shops and a couple of places to eat. Pezenas is just a short drive away. Mary, the owner, lives above the apartment and is extremely helpful without being intrusive. Having rented many holiday properties, I'm extremely happy to recommend this one and we look forward to returning.
Great holiday - charming gite with private pool!
We had a lovely holiday in this fully equipped charming gite. The private pool and outside space was a plus, especially on the hot days allowing us to relax and cool down after our morning excursions. The village is very friendly and the newly opened restaurant provides good food and service. Mary, the owner, lives onsite but was very discreet, however very helpful and available when we needed advice etc. The apartment has everything you would need. We would definitely recommend this place and are hoping to return. Theresa and John.

The apartment was great and the owner Mary was very helpful and quick with giving us information we needed. The village Caux was very friendly and clean amazing typically French village to stay in. Plenty to do in surrounding villages/towns. Yes to recommending this accommodation. Meze is a lovley place to visit with great market and sea. Must visit the vineyards plenty of good wine.

“I fell in love with this area because of the warm climate and diverse surroundings (mountains, lakes, rivers, national park, beaches, historic villages, and a major city all a short drive away). Caux is a pretty village with a medieval core that dates back to the 10th century. The church in Caux, a listed historic monument, is a spectacular 12th-century building of beautiful honey-coloured stone. The tower rises above the impressive porchway to the building's entrance, an imposing edifice built in the 14th-century.”

The Med and nearest beaches are 25 mins by car, Cap d'Agde, Marseilan, Vias, Valras, etc
The closest airport is Beziers which is a 25 minute drive from our house. Montpellier airport is forty minutes away (55km) and Perpignan is 110km.

“The property is a one minute walk to the centre of the village and all the local amenities (including a market on Friday mornings). The property is only a five-minute drive to Pezenas, a pretty town with a major antiques center with plenty of opportunity for some serious 'retail therapy' - loads of unique and interesting shops, numerous eating places, a lively market every Saturday, as well as banks and cash machines. For culture vultures, its Renaissance center and associations with Moliére make it a must. There is lots to see and do or you can just sit back and relax by the pool or in the garden listening to the sound of the birds!”

- Notes on accommodation: The apartment provides free WiFi. The garden and pool are for the exclusive use of the apartment guests and you will have your own separate entrance. The apartment floors are tiled and the open plan layout of the apartment makes it a lovely, cool place to relax. A stand up fan is also provided. The guest apartment is on the ground floor of the villa. There is plenty of parking space in front of the house. The apartment is available from 4pm on the day of arrival and we ask you to vacate the property by 10am on the day of departure. Changeover day is Saturday but we can offer some flexibility during low season. This is a non smoking property. Outside: The kitchen and living room lead out to the lovely private garden and pool. There are 2 outside dining areas. One with a table and chairs under a shady tree on the garden side. The second eating area is by the poolside under a newly installed modern Gazebo. Next to it you will find a built-in BBQ. The pool is 8 metres x 4 metres with a depth of 1.2 metres to 1.7 metres with tiling all around. Pool open between May and September (can be longer weather permitting) and is cleaned regularly . Utility Room: Washing machine in kitchen Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels and linen are included in the price. The property is cleaned before/after your stay. Additional cleaning/linen can be provided at an extra charge. The owner has a dog on site, however it is not allowed near the guest quarters. Also for the reason, no dogs are accepted on the gite.
